The Wonder Girls have arrived in Greece!

On July 2nd, Ye Eun tweeted several photos of the group having a fun time in Athens, Greece. In the pictures, Sohee, Hae Lim, Sunye, and Ye Eun are seen hanging out at the Acropolis (sans Yubin).

In response to the pictures, netizens replied, “The Wonder Girls get prettier every day”, “The lovable girls~”, and “I like that they look like they’re having fun.”

The girls are in town to perform at the Special Olympics closing ceremony on July 4th.

Korean Wave Fakery: Phony Japanese Fans Paid to Greet Jang Geun-suk

South Korean actor Jang Geun-suk visited Japan this week. Media reports about his visit emphasized the fact that about 800 fans gathered to greet him on his arrival at Haneda Airport. Even Jang was surprised by the overwhelming evidence of his popularity in Japan:

“I was honestly worried that there might be an accident within the crowd because there were so many people there to greet me,” he said, expressing concern for the fans present.

“Honestly, it’s pretty scary. It just happened so fast; I gained a lot of fans in such a short amount of time,” he said about his new popularity in Japan.

800 fans at the airport is pretty impressive when you compare it to the greetings that other international stars have received. When Lady Gaga arrived at Narita Airport a couple weeks ago, about 200 fans were there to greet her. Johnny Depp, who is enormously popular in Japan, was greeted by a mere 400 fans when he visited Japan earlier this year.

The secret of the Jang’s huge fan gathering was revealed when a photograph of a flier found its way onto the internet:

It is recruiting women to participate in the greeting event at Haneda Airport. A reward of 2,000 yen (about $25) was offered to each “fan” who attended the event.

According to an article on Livedoor, there were some diehard fans who showed up out of genuine excitement. Many others, however, were paid. Some people found out about it through the fliers, while others were veteran members of event mailing lists. People who replied to the 2,000 yen job offer were driven to the airport on two special buses. While on the buses, the phony fans were given Jang Geun-suk merchandise to wave around when the media filmed them.

One participant said the buses carried about 80 paid fans to the airport. Combined with the legitimate fans, there probably weren’t much more than 100 people gathered for the event. One of the event promoters walked around declaring that 800 fans had come to greet Jang, and the media didn’t bother to verify the claim.

A dancer twitted they are filming a music video for SHINee’s next single. There have been posts some people saw SHINee filming a music video from yesterday. I think this twit confirms it.

SMS suggested SHINee’s scheduled filming for Music Japan on August 1st might be to promote the next single. It’s highly likely, don’t you think?

The next single is Juliette Japanese version. The person who saw SHINee filming the m/v said they were filming with Go Ara.

B2ST’s Junhyung shed tears at the Singapore fanmeeting held on the 2nd.

At the fanmeeting, Junhyung started to cry after seeing fans fully supporting him. He was very touched by their love and support.

Fans said, “We are okay. It’s sad to see him cry”, “He must have been going through a tough time after his relationship went public”, “He seems thinner and more gaunt.”

Cube Entertainment commented, “Yong Junhyung is very sensitive. There have been many events with fans, but at this event, the fans were really supporting him; we think he was moved by that and cried because of it.”

The fans were supportive of him and his relationship with Goo Hara.

HITT reveals tracklist for debut mini album

Earlier this week we revealed the new and upcoming group HITT through newly released pictures. Happy Holic, their company, revealed those in anticipation for their group's debut.

The group will be releasing their first mini album "Here is the Top" within two weeks from now, and has just recently revealed the tracklist. Title song "Good Night" is accompanied by another 4 songs, an unplugged version and two instrumentals.

This 6 member group consisting of Hayong, Juntaek, Hyunjun, Wooram, Jaehoon and maknae Howon, will be revealing their MV teaser for their debut track on July 4th.

S.Korean woman rescued after group suicide bid

A SOUTH Korean woman was rescued on Sunday after jumping into a river with four other people in an apparent group suicide attempt, police said.

The 24-year-old woman was found floating unconscious in the Bukhan river near the capital Seoul by an area resident who rescued her, police said.

The woman told police she jumped off a bridge on Sunday morning with another woman and three men she met on the Internet, said the police, adding a search was underway to find the four others.

The five turned to the river after a failed suicide attempt on Saturday night at a nearby motel room, a police detective on the case told AFP.

Suicide is the leading cause of death among young people in South Korea with heavy stress from its highly competitive educational environment and job market taking a lethal toll.

The kpop scene is very big in Japan these days. Among the scene, K Theater Tokyo, the only private Korean theater, opened in May. There, APeace performs their gHANA-one-h promotions, which many people have seen. APeace's official website is here: (http://www.apeace.jp/)

APeace has strict examination criteria. The members had to go through tough lessons in order to pass the audition and get into this elite group in the Korean industry.
APeace consists of 21 people. There are three subgroups called Lapis, Jade, and Onyx.
There is a specific schedule set for each group.

Despite consecutive days performing, the members did not seem tired at all. They enjoyed their meal and were very lively throughout.
Everyone has been through truly rigorous lessons. They all had strong appetites and didn't leave any food. They have a reliable future ahead of them.

More Wonder Girls in Greece: photos & a press conference

Yesterday the Wonder Girls had a blast touring Athens, and today they participated in the medal ceremony at the Special Olympics + held a press conference after. They will be performing at the closing ceremony on July 4th.

CSJH to comeback with Sunday & Dana unit + teaser pic

Earlier, CSJH announced that they’d be finally making a comeback this year after a four-year-long hiatus. Unfortunately, it seems they won’t be coming as a full group after all, as it’s been revealed that members Dana and Sunday will be coming back as a separate unit.

Working under the name ‘CSJH – Dana & Sunday‘, the duo will be releasing a digital single titled “나 좀 봐줘 (One More Chance)” on July 11th. Because of their long absence from the stage, fans are definitely looking forward to seeing what these two will bring for their comeback performances.

Their first comeback stage will be held on KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘ on July 8th, so stay tuned to allkpop for more updates!
