SM Entertainment, one of the biggest entertainment companies in South Korea, announced this week plans of bringing its world tour – SMTown World Tour – to Latin America. The news quickly spread among fans through social networks and even made it to Twitter's Trending Topics as one of the most discussed topics among Brazilians.

It may not be confirmed by SME itself yet, but this is the closest we've ever gotten to this actually becoming a reality, and the same way SMTown Paris seemed random but ended up being true, I have high hopes for Brazil to get a SMTown concert. :)
SNSD, brace yourselves.

Today it was announced that the ladies of SNSD are scheduled to perform their new song “MR. TAXI” live on Music Station on May 13th.

This will mark their first visit in Japan since the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake that hit Japan on March 11th. Originally, they planned to promote their new song in March, but due to the circumstances they were forced to delay their promotions. After already coming second on the recent Oricon Weekly Chart, as revealed the other day,  the nine girls will finally be able to directly cheer up Japan.
Their comment after getting the news about their upcoming performance on Music Station, “We have been anticipating to perform this song ever since its completion. Even if it is just a little, we are going to put all of our effort into this performance in order to cheer up everyone in Japan, so please look forward to it.”

On May 31st the girls of Shoujo Jidai will also start their Japan tour through six major cities.

MBLAQ have been receiving a lot of love from fans since their release of their Japanese debut single, "Your Luv." They officially released the single on May 4th and entered the Oricon Daily Chart in 2nd place. Later, they achieved first place on the Oricon Daily Chart, selling an additional 11,066 units.

In addition to achieving No.1 on the Oricon Daily Chart, MBLAQ's "Your Luv" has also entered Japan's mobile music ranking chart Recochoku as the #1 ringtone downloaded in Japan.

AKB48's former member Oshima Mai have also expressed her love for MBLAQ and their debut single on her blog on May 5th.

"MBLAQ’s Japan debut song ‘Your Luv’ has been published on the 4th. They are the Korean idol group that I recommend.

In Korea, you can see MBLAQ’s fascinating and cool performance a lot. Because MBLAQ debuted in Japan, the song is in Japanese idol style.

I won’t be surprised if this song is chosen as a CM song for chocolate or snacks. I really love this song because it’s refreshing. MBLAQ sings this song with an idol-like feeling. No wonder the feeling of song is refreshing.

They will get really popular in Japan. It’s fun to also be able to see stylish MBLAQ in Japan. It is a song that is easy to be stuck in a head, so please listen to it."

Have you listened to MBLAQ's "Your Luv" yet?

A soft-spoken electrical engineer named Edmond Rhim sat in a packed gymnasium with his wife, Hanna, gripping her tiny hand in his. It was the last of four five-hour-long sessions of Father School, and by the end of the night, 70 men — all of them Korean, and almost all of them Christian — would be declared more emotionally adjusted dads. They would even get a certificate, a group photo and a polo shirt to prove it. “She’s happy now,” Rhim said, smiling.

Hanna nodded her head. “I love my husband,” she said. “But he is” — she searched for the right bit of recovery jargon — “under construction.”

Like many of the men in the room, Rhim never wanted to come to Father School. (Seven dropped out after the first day.) “I’m not a bad father,” he told me a week earlier. But realizing how difficult it was for him to relate to his wife and two teenage kids — and realizing, finally, how empty that left him — he paid the $120 course fee and agreed to show up.

Father School has been helping Korean men like Rhim become more emotionally aware since 1995, when it started at the Duranno Bible College in Seoul. The mission, drawn up at the height of the Asian financial crisis, was to end what the Father School guidebook calls “the growing national epidemic of abusive, ineffective and absentee fathers.”

“Traditionally, in the Korean family, the father is very authoritarian,” Joon Cho, a program volunteer, told me a few weeks before this session of Father School began. “They’re not emotionally linked with their children or their wife. They’re either workaholics, or they’re busy enjoying their own hobbies or social activities. Family always comes last.”
