SS501 member Kim HyunJoong was forced to take the subway on 4th January to get to his schedule venue after heavy snowfall, much to the surprise of fans.

He was schedule for a CF filming at 11am during that day, but due to heavy snowfall causing many major closure of road uses, he had to take the subway to get to the filming site instead.

A staff revealed, “We were worried that he may get into accidents when taking the subway but luckily he had a hat and mask on, and was not recognised by anyone. In the end he managed to arrive at the planned destination safely. HyunJoong was able to carry out his schedule for CF filming.”

It was known that Kim HyunJoong was doing the CF filming for clothing brand MBO.

The hard bodied member of 2PM, Taecyeon tried to dispel rumors that he and Yoona of Girls Generation (SNSD) are dating.

In his new years message in his Cyworld homepage on January 3^rd, Taecyeon wrote: “Hope the new year will bring you lots and lots of good fortune. I wish you good health and that all your wishes are fulfilled!”

More importantly, he added a P.S. directed at the dating rumors:

“The ring that I’ve been wearing recently was given to me by my parents and I recently found it while moving to a new place-keke. So now, I wore it last year and started wearing it again ~~”.

Further, Taecyeon clarified that the couple performance with Yoona on the MBC Music Festival on December 31st, 2009  as “just business”.

The beastly beasts of 2PM have endorsed their fair share of products, from cellphones to cakes. Most recently, the group has signed on as the new models for the sports fashion line Spris (Pony).

Spris previously had big-named stars like MC Mong, Lee Junki, and Kim Bum to promote their line. The company stated, ""2PM has received lots of love for their strong image as beastly idols. Due to their image, we've chosen them as our models because they fit well with Spris' image."

A representative of the company went on to say, "We will soon begin filming for CFs, have photo shoots for ads, hold fan signings, and even visit schools! 2PM fans will surely enjoy these events we are preparing for them."

SNSD's leader Taeyeon is receiving criticisms for her outburst of laughter during a live broadcasting of her radio program while reading a letter from a listener.

On the 4th, Taeyeon started laughing uncontrollably while reading a letter from a listener which stated, "My younger brother has failed the test for college. Please give him strength" in her MBC FM radio show "Taeyeon's Chin Han Chin Gu"

Bigbang's Taeyang and Daesung will be attending the special new year episode of SBS Kang Shim Jang (Strong Heart), which will be broadcasted on the 5th. Bigbang had a special conversation and their pop dance had been a hot topic.

Hangeng reportedly will not be present for SJ’s concert(s) in China; fans refund their tickets

Recently at Hunan TV’s countdown concert, Super Junior M made a special appearance, but while fans were pleasantly surprised at their presence, the seven-member unit was missing their leader, Hangeng.

Hangeng’s case will be heard in court on the 8th of January, in Korea. If the court approves, Hangeng will be free as early as March of this year. His lawyer has confirmed that Hangeng will temporarily be absent from all activities to do with SM Entertainment.

From Hangeng’s fan site, it has been learnt that he will most likely be absent from the Beijing stop of SUPER SHOW II, on the 23rd of January. The ticketing company has also started to refund tickets.

Family Outing Reunion news

I only wish it were under happier circumstances. Park Ye Jin, Lee Chun Hee, and Park Shi Yeon will return to Family Outing for its finale, finale as in ending, last episode, it’s over, etc. The filming for the finale will be held on January 11th and 12th. It was previously reported that Yoo Jae Suk and Park Shi Yeon would be leaving the show and that the future of the show was in jeopardy because of that and numerous scandals regarding the ‘reality’ of the show. Just recently, it was announced that Yoo Jae Suk would NOT be leaving the show (yay!) but that the rest of the cast will (what? BOO!). After the finale episode, sometime in mid February, Family Outing will return with a season 2 with Jae Suk as the MC (although conflicting reports say Jae Suk’s return isn’t finalized yet) and a new cast, and new plot.

I had been hoping for Jae Suk to stay on the show, but I never thought they would keep him and get rid of everyone else! I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad. I couldn’t imagine Family Outing without Jae Suk, and had thought that the only thing that would make it okay would be for Ye Jin and Chun Hee to return. But now they’re changing everything!

Well, I guess things change and everyone must move on. I will miss seeing the whole family every week, they always brought laughter to my day. The one positive thing about all of this is that all of the family members have experienced much success and popularity from being on the show. It was because fans were able to see more of a ‘normal’ side to some of their favorite actors, singers, and MCs. Thanks to the family Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Soo Ro, Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Jong Kook, Lee Hyori, Lee Chun Hee, Park Shi Yeon, Park Ye Jin, Park Hae Jin, and Kang Daesung for all the wonderful memories.

Next week’s show will be part 2 of the Lee Sung Soo and Jo Han Seon episode. On January 17th and 24th, will be the episodes with Tiffany from SNSD and Nicole from KARA. As an added bonus members from SNSD and KARA as well as from the Brown Eyed Girls and T-Ara will be making a surprise appearance. I’m guessing that the finale will be airing on January 31st and February 7th. I can’t believe there are only 5 episodes left…

On 4 January, on the society page of Korea's JoongAng Ilbo, Ms Kei☆T and Ms Keroko (both handle names) represented a group of Japanese fans and ran an advertisement, 『Five　 Balloons』, to show their support for TVXQ. The same group started the fundraising for this ad campaign under the name "TVXQ Smile Project", and they reached their targetted amount on 25 December 2009. At the end of the fundraising, they collected a total of ¥2,728,000 (T/N: approx USD$30,000) and managed to successfully run the ad.

Counting down to debut, C.N.Blue to reveal MV teaser on 6th and showcase on 14th January!

The band C.N.Blue in which Jung YongHwa, the star who shot to fame with the drama SBS You’re Beautiful, belongs to will reveal a teaser video with members’ profile and do an showcase event ahead of their debut.

There has been much interests about the members in the band, and their names have been one of the top searches on portal sites. There are even fans who have gone to Japan just to see their performances.

After the filming day of their MV on 24th December, the group will have their 2nd meeting with domestic fans through a showcase event for 200 fans ahead of their debut on 14th January.

Also, on the morning of 6th January a teaser video ‘BLUE’ will be revealed. There will also be 4 different versions to it with each members’ profiles revealed.

Hyori + Jaesuk to officially leave family outing.

The end has finally come for SBS Family Outing as the show's main duo, Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Hyori, will now officially be exiting. Their last filming has already been planned to take place on the 11th of this month.

Family Outing has recently failed to maintain the high viewership rating they once had, due to the endless controversies regarding the show's concept of 'reality'. However, Family Outing was still able to hold its position as one of the most popular shows in Korea. Aside from the new celebrity guests that appeared each week, viewers grew attached to the regular members of the show.

Unfortunately, their last episode is scheduled to air in mid-February, closing Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Hyori's long history of over a-year-and-a-half as the show's main spectacle. It has already been reported a new season of Family Outing awaits to fill in the time slot; however, the stars to appear on the follow-up program are still uncertain.

It seems like the Family Outing members are now going their own separate ways: Yoo Jae Suk is now getting ready to be a daddy, Lee Hyori is going back to her singing career, Kim Suro is playing a major role in a drama, and lastly Daesung is extending activities with Big Bang in Japan.

BEAST's Dongwoon's father speaks out about his son and Jaebum

Father of Beast's maknae Dongwoon recently spoke out about about his son becoming an idol as well as Jaebum's incident with netizens that occurred four months ago.

Dongwoon's father, Son Illak, who is a professor of international manners for hotel adminstration at Cheongju University, recently wrote an article in A House Full of Happiness magazine regarding Jaebum's situation and giving his son some advice.

In his article, titled "Tolerance of 2PM's Jaebum", he writes in a letter style giving words of encouragement to his son as well as his own views about Jaebum's incident.

Se7en to come back in 2010

Along with the solo activities from Big Bang members, YG Entertainment will also push out a new project from Se7en.

Fans are anticipating his return and since he's been away for such a long time, expectations are high.

An official from YG Entertainment revealed that "Se7en's new music will not follow the normal trends, but will show a new side of him and of music."

The date of release has not been announced yet, but for his new project, Se7en will show a more mature and manly side.

In 2009, he began his American campaign and released his English single, Girls. Originally, he intended to release a full English album as well, but the full album was never completed. Se7en eventually returned to Korea just in time to be a special performer for G-Dragon's solo concert, "Shine a Light."

Although Se7en was unable to finish his English album, hopefully 2010 will be a better year for him. Over the years, Se7en has shown the industry that he is a versatile artist, able to sing ballads and entertain the audience with a fast upbeat song. What does 2010 hold for Se7en?

Park Jin young answered the question 'Who is the most expected member in 2pm' (I assume this means "which member do you expect the most from in the future") through KBS 2TV’ Sweetnight, on Jan, 5.

"It is Wooyoung. I see the possibility that he will be much more developed in the future. At present, he only shows less than half of his capability. He does not seem to acknowledge his splendid dancing and singing skills” He revealed.

He also told about the member ‘who is better that he has expected.’ The answer is Nichkhun. “Formerly, he did not want to be a singer so I was worried about his singing and dancing but I do not think any of that right now."

Moreover, Park jin Young smiled while he was talking about his nickname ‘A gorilla eating ttok’ that “ I was sad when I stayed in the states since I do not like western food. I only ate Korean food, especially ttok, so photos of me eating it were taken. Now I rarely eat it.”

There is photos of him eating ttok regardless of time and places so he received this nickname, ‘A gorilla that eats TTok’
