Goo Hye Sun and singer Alex were seen at the red carpet opening ceremony ”5th JIMFF” (“5th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival”) on 13th August (Thursday) at 6pm held in Jecheon City. Both Goo Hye Sun and Alex are the appointed hosts for the opening ceremony of “5th JIMFF”.

3rd annual Happiness Concert

Here's another concert to look forward to! On August 22, TBS Happiness Concert will be held at Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium.

So who's going to be headlining at this concert?

2PM, T-MAX (the "YO, WHATS UP!" guy from Boys Over Flower's band), FT Island, Brown Eyed Girls, Davichi, and MC Mong are only some of the acts that are lined up. Tiger JK and his wife, Yoon Mi Rae, will be having a duet performance that'll surely be highly anticipated and f you're a fan of the older generation, singers Song Chang Shik and Shim Soo Bong will be performing as well. The show will be hosted by Kim Heung Gook and Jang Yoon Jung.

Lee Ji Ah was releasing a single titled, "Cupcake and Alien", and it is finally here!

The song is very sweet indeed. Lee Ji Ah's voice fits perfectly with the bosa nova feel of the music, and her quirky lyrics are just too cute! I will be looking forward to hearing this song in her "Telecinema Project" called "Face, Mind, and Love's Relationship" with Kang Ji Hwan in September.

Celebrities are always asked what kind of person is their ideal type but it's always a little more interesting when they give a fellow celebrity as an example. Changmin of 2AM revealed that Kara's Kang Jiyoung is his ideal type. He confessed that his ideal type is "cute and kind. I especially like Kara's Kang Jiyoung," on a recently recorded "Star Golden Bell" (it will be aired on August 15th). You'd think it'd be possible for these two to hook up after being partners on MBC's Every1 Idol but Changmin continued, saying "I thought that it would be easy to get close because we're both idols, but we're more than 7 years apart."

2nd FT Island, C.N. Blue Will Debut In Japan

C.N. Blue (Code Name Blue) will be debuting in Japan on August 19th as an Indie band with an album called "Now or Never". They are already called the "Second F.T. Island" due to their similar sound and style. In fact, C.N. Blue is actually in the same company as F.T. Island, F&C Music (Fish and Cake Music).

The members are consisted of Jung Yong Hwa (vocal and guitar), Lee Jong Hyun (Vocal, guitar), Kwon Kwang Jin (basist), Kang Min Hyuk (drums). You can listen to their music on their myspace. I have to say, they do not sound exactly like F.T. Island, but they do share similar styles. C.N. Blue has a more street and raw sound.

Big Bang GDragon gets slammed with another round of plagiarism accusations.

After all the stir caused by plagiarism accusations for his upcoming solo album title song ‘HeartBreaker’, GDragon’s ‘HeartBreaker’ album cover has also become the subject of the plagiarism talks.

The 30s preview to the title song ‘Heartbreaker’ was released on 11th August through GDragon’s me2day account, and he was accused of plagiarising Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’ for that song. YG Entertainment also came out to speak about the plagiarism accusations.

There were also subsequent accusations of plagiarisms for the song ‘Heartbreaker’ relating to Oasis’s ‘She’s Electric’. And the song ‘Boy’ was also accused to have plagiarised that of Katharine Mcphee’s ‘Not ur girl’.

Witnesses describe scenes at DaeSung’s car accident

Big Bang DaeSung who was injured in a car accident on 11th August has left fans much worried and shocked.
On MBC Section TV Entertainment News aired on 14th August, an interview with the witness to the accident was revealed. The witness has revealed his shock when he saw the car hitting up the guard rail and even caused a tree to uproot. An emergency officer Mr. Park said, “The car was damaged beyond recognition. The ceiling part to the car has also collapsed.”
“The coordinator was in between the seats. Manager’s right arm was stuck in the damage and he was screaming in pain. DaeSung was taken to the management office. He was complaining of back pain, and blood was flowing from his nose, his own face continued to bleed.”

A witness at the hospital also provided, “He looked like he hurt his face a lot. It was bandaged.”
It has been revealed that DaeSung will be undergoing an operation for his nose and eye area where there are fractions. And he will need 8 weeks of treatment.

Female group Jewelry will reveal the song ‘Strong Girl’ off their 6th comeback album on 17th August.

1 year and 6 months after their last 5th album, Jewelry will be back with a new album on 25th August, and ahead of the album release, they will reveal the song ‘Strong Girl’ on various music online site.

‘Strong Girl’ is written group Someday’s member JooYeong, and he will also be featured in the song.

JooYeong said, “I wrote the song with Jewelry’s impression in mind, I also put much focus on member Ha JooYeon’s rap for the song.”

Meanwhile, a teaser featuring Jewelry’s album jacket filming was revealed recently and fans are alright very hyped up about the girls’ comeback.

Tiger JK from Drunken Tiger was interviewed on Arirang's Heart to Heart show. The good thing about this interview is that it was conducted all in English! Tiger JK was little slow in the interview because in the end it was revealed that he had little sleep in the past couple of days. In the interview Tiger JK talks about his latest double CD album: Feel gHood Muzik: The 8th Wonder and talks a bit about Rakim who's also featured on the album. Tiger JK also talks about the controversy he caused in the Korean music industry when he was first started rapping in Korea and his personal battle with myelitis.

Brown Eyed Girls’ ’saucy hip dance’ off from their recent hit ‘Abracadabra’ has been chosen the #1 most popular dance in clubs.

A survey was done on music site Monkey3 on 14th August ‘Which is the dance you feel like dancing in night club on music day?” and the dance was picked as the #1 dance.
The survey was done on over 500 people in their 20s, and Brown Eyed Girls’ dance was chosen at #1 with 32% of the vote.

'Beasty idols’ 2PM held ‘2PM First FanMeeting’ on Saturday, 15th August in Seoul KwangWoon University’s Cultural centre hall. As can be seen in the photospam under the cuts, the fans had a hell of a good time with their idols during the fanmeeting.

There were also guest performances K Will and Baek Ji Young at the fanmeeting.
