Kim Bum's next drama after the highly popular Boys Before Flowers starts airing on SBS next Monday (27 July, 2009). As many would already know, Dream will also star Joo Jin Moo (200 Pounds Beauty, Fashion 70's, Queen of the Game) and Son Dam Bi.
The production press conference was held in Busan on 21 July, 2009. Check out the pics!

When Kim Junsu's twin, Kim Junho, made his debut in 2009, it aroused a lot of interest. Kim Junho's company expressed recently, Junho's first musical work "I Love You" will be introduced to everyone by the end of August (latest September). Within the single, both the Korean and Chinese version of "I Love You" is recorded, and the lyrics for the Korean version were personally written by his brother, Kim Junsu.

U-Know Yunho on last July 18th volunteered at a child care facility located in Nam-gu, Gwangju city, and did things such as cleaning and helped for basic services like preparing meals for one day. MC Mong released his 5th album ‘Humanimal’ on 23rd July and included in the album is a song said to be dedicated to the late actress Choi JinShil.
There was a song with the title ‘JinShil even though she is in heaven’. He talks about his feelins towards Choi JinShil in the song. The lyrics go by ‘The empty place after she is gone is like a hole… Yes rest in peace. Stop being in pain alone. Now smile from the heart. In heaven when there is only happiness.’
Back then when the news of the death of Choi JinShil went out, MC Mong has also wrote on him minihompy ‘The day when our noona is sent away, I was like a beggar performing on stage and doing filming for 2 days through’, talking about his regrets for not being able to attend her funeral.

Ara eyes lead role in soccer drama

After a brief rocky period for the producers, Go Ara’s name has risen as top contender to lead MBC’s soccer drama Heading to the Ground [맨 땅에 헤딩 -- and if anyone has a better translation, I'm all ears!].
The drama production had been imperilled once its lead star Kim Rae-won had to drop out to enlist in the army this year. I read last week that the production was having a hard time finding a replacement actor, and the tone of the news was not good for the drama.
Then, Han Ga-in announced that as a result of Kim Rae-won dropping out, she would not be taking on the lead role, either. She had not been confirmed, but had been seriously considering the role until Kim’s announcement, and now she has decided to decline.

Junsu has a Thai girlfriend?

On the show MBC Golden fishery - Radio star which was aired on July 22nd, Super Junior's Sungmin and The TRAX's Jungmo had talked about their kiss in the performance with Heechul.
On the show, MC Shin Junghwan said "You two have one thing in common. You guys are Kim Heechul's man". It has been known that both Sungmin & Jungmo were enforced to do a kiss with member Kim Heechul during Super Junior's concert.
Jungmo said "It's not a deep (kiss) at all, just lip touched" and "Heechul hyung likes that kind of that performance", "I was scared at first", "I could do (that) in the concert because there were many people and it was so noisy. But I couldnt do it when rehearsal and even got scold by Heechul hyung"
They also talked about Sungmin's incident with his photos of cosplaying H.O.T's Tony Ahn on internet. There was a picture among them of Sungmin in Tony Ahn's cosplay costume kissed a girl in Jang Woohyuk's cosplay costume. Sungmin said it was all his friend's idea, they forced him to cosplay Tony Ahn and even grabbed him to make the scene (of kissing the girl) and took photo of it. Sungmin said it was against his will of which Jungmo said "Sungmin likes girls a lot"

One of the couple's associates was quoted as saying, "Rumors began to emerge through underground newsletters circulating on the stock market. The couple will file a petition with the police cyber task force asking for a probe."

Lee Hongki, “Radio DJ, It Will Continue To Be My Challenge.”
Lee Hongki debuted as a child actor even before he turned into the main vocal of the band, FT Island.
“Because it was my dream to be an entertainer. As an entertainer, it is a pity that we cannot have our own private lives.”
Hongki had recently stepped down from being the host of SBS Inkigayo to concentrate on their album promotional activities.
As to why FT Island songs have been revolving around the topic “Love”, Hongki made the following reply.
“I’m in my twenties too, I’m twenty this year. People of this age would have had at least one love experience, I believe. It’s important to have the experience so as to grasp the right emotions when singing. Some of our staff and seniors who are close to us will also give me advice on ways to improve myself.”
In their recent comeback music video, Hongki also showed his talents in acting with his partner, “ice cream girl” Choi Ara. Many were talking about the two.
“Ms Choi Ara? She’s a younger sister. She’s younger than us and we’re rather awkward during the music video filming. I didn’t know if I should call her “Ara ya” or even use lower forms of speech to her. So I always add a “Choi Ara-Dongsaeng!” whenever I end my conversation with her. Anyway, I still like Song Hyegyo the best. Haha!”
Not just being a singer, Hongki is also trying other fields like musical and acting, as long as he can. “I want to challenge myself to be a radio DJ. Isn’t it cool? And when I get older, I aim to save more money and buy a big building in Gangnam. Hoho!”
Throughout the interview with Hongki, he has been expressing how proud he is to be in the main cast of the musical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as the character “Lysander“. This musical will also be staged at his alma mater, Kyung Hee University.

FT Island’s Lee Hongki revealed a funny episode that happened overseas.
“It happened when we were in Thailand for a concert. We were about to start our rehearsals but I was stuck in the toilet as there wasn’t any toilet paper left in the cubicle,” everyone focused their attention on Hongki as he explained.
“I had no choice but to shout to the security guard standing outside, ‘Tissue! Tissue!’. No one answered me so I opened the door and used hand gestures to tell the guard that I need toilet paper.”
Hongki continued, “The guard realised what I was referring to and he said, ‘Oh~ Napkin!’” Everyone in the studio laughed.
He also revealed that there were certain rules set among the members in the group. That is, they should never like the same type of girls. After saying which, it threw the crowd into laughter.
This episode of ‘Star Golden Bell’ will be shown on 25th July, 5.15PM on KBS 2TV.

No word yet on who will direct but word is that Denzel Washington is slated to star in a US remake of Kim Ji-Woon’s A Bittersweet Life. The project has been in development at Fox and it’s hard to imagine them hitting the same tone as the original with Washington in the lead, he is just such a different style of actor than original star Lee Byung-Hun.

4Minute considers this a meaningful opportunity and have put their all into learning the chereography, they will also be wearing MJ-inspired costumes on stage. The members hope to give their best performance and are enthusiastic about this special stage.
Meanwhile, other performing acts on Music Core on Saturday include Girls’ Generation, SHINee, MC Mong, FT Island, Cool, Lee Jung Hyun, LPG and IU.
SHINee and Girls’ Generation will also have a special dance joint stage on Music Core this Saturday.

Tickets were sold out on the 23rd of July for the SMTOWN LIVE’09 Concert which is to be held at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium on the 16th of August 2009. The exclusive tickets that were sold by G-Market were sold-out within five minutes.
TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and Zhang Li Yin, together with special guests, would be the ones performing on this concert stage, showing a variety of never-before seen performances.
An SM Entertainment representative stated, “Although the concert tickets are sold-out every year, the ticket-selling has become more heated because SM Entertainment artistes are mostly active during the summer season.”
