Asia's most influential super model competition "Asia Pacific Super Model Competition " will take place on the 19th of this month. Around 33 super models from Korea, China, Thailand as well as well as SS501, Super Junior (*edited in), Girl's Generation, Son Dam Bi and other representative musicians will come together for a congratulatory performance.

This time, it will not just be a Korean affair. The competition will be aired in Japan, China, Thailand and even America. Renown sports brands Kappa and Elle designers will also be holding a fashion show " Full of love fashion festival" with the representative musicians. This arrangement has received much attention right from the start.

SBS will be airing the competition on the 20th of June at 12.20 AM.

BoA and Tohoshinki to attend Japan’s “A-nation 09″ Concert

According to the Korean media, Korean singer BoA and popular group Tohoshinki, together with other top Japanese singers, will be participating in the large-scale “a-nation 09″ concert tour. Organised by one of the biggest Japanese entertainment companies, AVEX, a-nation has been held annually since 2001, inviting current top artistes to perform.

On the 15th, AVEX announced the second half of the list of artistes participating. BoA is finally able to take time out of her busy schedule, and will be attending the opening on 1st August, as well as the 2 large-scale performances that will be held in Tokyo on the 23rd and 24th August.

Tohoshinki, who have already confirmed their participation in April, will be attending the opening on 1st August. Following that, they will be joining Japan’s top artistes in Ehime on the 8th August, Tokyo on the 22nd and 23rd, as well as the performances in Osaka on the 29th and 30th.

This year’s “a-nation 09″ will have it’s opening at Kumamoto National Park (Kyuushuu) on 1st August, followed by the usual 1 month concert tour within Japan. Besides BoA and Tohoshinki, other top singers include My Little River, Koda Kumi, Every Little Thing, and more.

2PM leader Jaebeom will have a special interview with Lady Gaga for Mnet Wide Entertainment News tomorrow. Lady Gaga is now having a showcase in Korea and is set to perform on M!Countdown tomorrow.

I really want to see how Leadja will react when he gets to meet and talk with Lady Gaga. For some reason, I think the two are from the same universe. ^^

This daily news program is normally broadcast on Mnet from Mon-Fri at 3.00pm onwards. Let's tune in!

2PM isn't the only group to be heating up magazine photo shoots these days. Their other halves, 2AM, are also doing their fair share of giving their female fans some eye candy as well in July's issue of ELLE magazine.

While the guys aren't rocking the guyliner as heavily showing as much skin as their 2PM brothers, they still rock the shoot in a style that's genuinely their own kind of sexy and smooth. And for once, Jo Kwon is rocking the whole "masculine" look rather well.

Junjin confirms that he’s the reason why Shin Hyesung spent at least 10 million won on alcohol

Shinhwa member Shin Hyesung had previously mentioned that he has already spent a total of about some 10 million won (approx USD10,000) on drinking because of Junjin.

During the recording for the 16th June episode of MBC Every1’s “It’s The Age Of Flower Boys”, Junjin admitted that what Shin Hyesung said was the truth.

Junjin said, “I’ve never forced him to pay, but he always insists on paying,” before adding with some unhappiness, “Only Shin Hyesung puts me down in front of others.”

He also talked about how he had a zero balance in his bank account and some interesting experiences related to cars.

In addition, he talked about why he doesn’t have much to say on MBC variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’ when asked by MC Lee Ji Hoon. Junjin however, did prove his wit and speaking skills in verbal exchanges with the MCs.

He added, “I’ve learnt a great deal from the IC hyungs about politics, economics and culture”, arousing the MCs’ curiosity with such a surprising statement.

This episode will be aired on 16th June at 11pm on MBC Every1

SuJu’s duo’s return flight to Korea gets exposed; 200 fans follow in hot pursuit

South Korean band Super Junior’s members, Siwon and Donghae, had arrived in Taiwan secretly for Ariel Lin’s MV shoot a few days ago. Before leaving, however, they did get their fill of Taiwan delicacies such as xiaolongbao at Taipei’s famed Hsinyi Street, satisfying their palate just before their departure.

This trip for Siwon and Donghae, which lasted for 3 days and 2 nights, involved shooting at Illan’s Niaoshi Quay (鳥石港) until midnight. They then proceeded back to their hotel for a short rest, before moving off for food tasting in the afternoon. Throughout their whole journey, there were approximately 50 fans in 10 taxis that followed them all the way.

When they arrived at the airport, both Siwon and Donghae were relatively surprised to find that more than 200 fans were there to send them off home, and even specially stopped to wave goodbye after clearing customs.

Many fans may question why Nichkhun did not perform with 2PM in some of recent events. We have asked our Korean friend and found out the answer. The reason is maybe due to the fact that Khun is a foreigner and some restrictions are subject to incur to him. The contract that JYP made with Khun may designate to limited of some Broadcast TV/Radio stations. Therfore, Nichkhun cannot perform for the broadcast stations that are not listed in the contract for taxation matter and stuff.

2 AM's member Im Seul Ong sent a congratulatory greetings to HyunAh of 4 Minute for her second time debut stage.

Im SeulOng came for HyunAh's second debut comeback stage while 4 Minute's first broadcast was taken place on the 18th cable channel MNet M!Countdown which was previously pre-recorded.



When Im Seul Ong met Money Today Star News he said "HyunAh has long prepared for this first stage and it looks like it turns out pretty well." also, "To HyunAh, for second time being in debut stage, she trembles a lot, however, it ends well and I feel great too"

Im Seul Ong continued "In the future,if they work hard, and being active, it will be good since they will be loved by people." which shows his support to HyunAh.

Nichkhun reveals all : How’s life like in Korea Part 1

After clearing his packed schedule, Khun – Nichkhun Horavejkul, the shinning idol from 2PM, who is currently famous in Korea, flew back to his homeland and had a fan meeting with his Thai fans. He was also invited as one of guest performers for a big concert of Thailand’s top two Divas, Christina Aguilera and Mai Charoenpura. This special trip of his made all the Thai fans excited and happy.

This was because Khun could not come back to Thailand often, sanook.com’s entertainment news team would not miss this chance to interview this young boy especially we would keen to find out how it’s like working in Korea.

“That’s our performance. We are only the one who are able to do and show.” It tends toward an easy dance to take nowadays, so 2pm’s acrobatic performances look better.

In this world of dancing singer’s, it’s not allowed to make mistakes, but 2pm cares for each others’ movement and dances more energetically compared to others.

Not hot like fire, but hot like SUGAR. Will the release date be final this time? YG's always changing dates and delaying releases. But what can I say, these delays always makes perfect. 2NE1's first mini album, titled "Sugar" is ready for their release on July 1, 2009. Album is supposed to come with stickers too! And tracklist is as follows:

Madonna remix version of Taegoon's 'Superstar' will be introduced



Starting with the June 20 episode of MBC Music Core and the June 21 episode of SBS Inkigayo, Taegoon will begin promoting the remix version of 'Superstar'.

After taking inspiration from Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' for the original song and choreography for Superstar, there will be a new version inspired by Madonna's song 'Holiday'.

His management says that the 'Superstar' remix version sampling Madonna's 'Holiday' has been upgraded and plans to introduce a variety of dance performances with confidence.

The Two were involved in the MBC Variety Show "We Got Married" as a make believe couple, who have now become a proper couple recently.

Also in Jun Jin's Recently released Mini Album "Fascination", Lee Si Young Featured for the song "BaBo Chulum"(바보처럼) and also appearing in the music video for "Hey Ya", where they developed their relationship while filming together.

A celebrity reporter has stated that
"Jun Jin was won over due to Lee Si Young's Honest and Pure appearance during their time on WGM, Jun Jin had continued his efforts even after the show ended and they have recently have moved to being a proper couple"

WonderGirls wrongly introduced as 3-member group on BillBoard

American BillBoard had recently made a mistake in their introduction to Korean girl group WonderGirls.

They introduced the group as a 3-member group instead of 5-member group on their internet homepage’s ‘Artiste Biography’. And they also included ex-member HyunA as current member, causing huge confusion.

They introduced the group members as Ahn SoHee, Kim YooBin and Kim HyunA.

Their company said, “We are aware of the situation and will demand for a correction.”

Meanwhile the girls will prepare for their American advance with the English version of their hit song ‘Nobody’ and also ‘Tell Me’.

4-member group Rumble Fish will comeback with their 4th album after 2 years.

They previously released their remake album ‘Memory for you’ and has been well received by music fans.

And fans who have been waiting for long for their new album release, they will be back with their full length 4th album on 9th July called ‘Encore’.

They will also release a MV for the digital single ‘Encore’, to be released before the album, using the scenes from movie ‘Happy Flight’.

2PM is #1 on Thailand Channel V chart

Group 2PM’s recent hit ‘Again & Again’ has received heated popularity in Thailand music charts.

They had won #1, taking Super Junior and Dong Bang Shin Ki off the competition on their Channel V Asian weekly chart.

This is not the first time they have won #1 on Thailand music chart, they also won #1 last week on Thailand MTV International Chart.

Their previous hit ‘10 points out of 10′ has also won #1 on Thailand MTV chart before. Thai member NichKhun from the group has received much interests and popularity even before he debuted when the boys were on Mnet reality programme ‘Hot Blood’.

2PM leader JaeBum have had the opportunity to interview Lady Gaga, who has came down to Korea for her showcase recently.

On Mnet ‘Wide News’ aired on 19th June, JaeBum had an interview, done in English, with Lady Gaga after their performance on Mnet M!Countdown.

Lady Gaga talked about her visit to Korea this time, “It is really fantastic. After seeing the Korean singers, I have got really good impressions, and also received many CDs. After I returned I will listen to them and also study about Korean songs.” She has also received a tee shirt from JaeBum with Korean characters designed onto it.

She talked about appearing on M!Countdown, “The viewers are really young, and the atmosphere was really great. I’m really thankful they invited me to perform.”

When asked if she will return to Korea in the future, she replied, “Of course. I will come back to Korea again.” and she ended off speaking in Korean “Sarang haeyo”.

Meanwhile, an interesting episode during the interview, JaeBum asked if Lady Gaga had any favourite Korean singer and she replied “You!” and JaeBum was clearly happy as shown on his expressions.

# 4minute Not Worried about Competition with 2NE1

Five members of the new female group 4minute say that they’re not worried about competing against another recently-debuted girl band 2NE1.



After performing the group’s debut song, “Hot Issue,” in a cable music program, 4minute members said that they admire 2NE1 and it’s an honor for them to stand on the same stage with them. However, they don’t think 2NE1 as their rivals, because their music styles are totally different. The leader of 4minute, Nam Ji-hyun, said that each member of the group has a very distinct personality, which is incorporated into the songs. She told the reporters to look forward to their performances.

4minute made its debut on Thursday’s “M Countdown.” Their network appearance will begin with “Music Bank” on Saturday, followed by “Show! Music Center” on MBC and “Hot Pop Songs” on SBS.
