With member Onew injuring himself 2 days before their comeback stage causing the group to postpone their comeback stage, SHINee has came up #1 on album sales for their 2nd minialbum ‘Romeo’ even without broadcast activities.

On Hanteo chart, the group’s new minialbum ‘Romeo’ has came up to #1 for album sales, taking Super Junior and V.O.S off competition, with 15,000 copies sold.

The album sales was initially set at 21st May and their comeback stage on 19th May but member Onew injured his front teeth after falling from a flight of stairs in their dorm before their comeback stage. The album sales then was pushed back to 25th May.

It is said that the group will most probably have their comeback stage earliest this week.

N. Korea Bans Navigation in West Sea

A fishing vessel sails past a naval patrol ship in the West Sea early Monday morning as a marine corps soldier stands guard on the beach of an island.

North Korea has recently prohibited vessels from navigating in mid and upper parts of the Yellow Sea, prompting South Korea to monitor the region for possible signs of a provocation, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday, quoting intelligence sources.

North Korea routinely sets up entry-prohibited areas in its western waters for military training purposes, but the latest ban is unusually long in duration, nearly two months until the end of July, the sources said on condition of anonymity.

The authorities "are keeping watch over the region, believing the ban could be a possible sign that there could be a provocation," one of the sources privy to North Korean intelligence was quoted as saying.

"Investigation Requested" for Outsider's second album leak

A source was found leaking Outsider's new album 'Maestro', planned for release on June 4th.

Sniper Sound, Outsider's management, said they knew it leaked on May 29th but the downloads had already spread beyond control, nor were they sure exactly who leaked it. The agency with Sniper Sound said "Hip-hop artists on our label are dealt in a "house system", such as Baechigi being on 'House One', Outsider on 'House Two', et cetera. The netizen will be found and dealt with strictly."

A site check inspector with Sniper Sound has been requested and will look for the source where netizens and bloggers are downloading and will dispose of it ASAP. This case also has support from a police investigation.

Sniper Sound stated 5000 copies of Outsider's second album, Maestro, have already been reserved. Promotion activities for it will proceed as normal.

Won Bin - Shin Min Ah share a kiss in coffee CF

The new Maxim coffee CF came out today, featuring actor Won Bin and actress Shin Mina. In this new CF, they are staged as a beautiful couple, who then engaged in a sweet slow kissing scene.

The highlight of this CF is that Won Bin And Shin Mina taste the real expresso coffee in general, as they share a light kiss on the forehead, then goes down to Shin Mina’s lips. In the TV ads, it shows how Won Bin’s lips slowly reaches towards her lips, but in the movie theater, viewers can see more than the ‘almost-kiss’ - when they’re actually kissing. The shooting for this CF took place near the Han River, as they aim for a romantic place like in Europe.

Legions of South Korean pretty boys have been invading the screens of Taiwanese audiences recently, and the Golden Melody Awards might just be inviting South Korean boyband Super Junior for a lightning quick visit to Taiwan under the name of performing guests and prize presenters. Also on the rumored list is Japanese songstress Koda Kumi and Super Junior’s junior, SHINee. The planning unit for this year’s awards ceremony however, conservatively speaks that the guest list is still unconfirmed.

Super Junior has been slated to appear in Taiwan in the next half of this year, and it has been heavily rumored that they would start first with the Golden Melody Awards. Because of this trip, they have been arranging their schedules with the Taiwanese planning unit since the start of this year, and have finally managed to squeeze out two days and hopefully will be able to arrive in time for the Awards on the 27th and 28th of June.

The awards ceremony however, has also incidentally sparked a heated debate between fans of different Korean boybands. Because they are going to hold a ticketed concert, SS501 lost the chance to be part of the guest list at the Awards, and this has made many of their fans rather upset, causing them to protest online. Fans of both groups are still vigorously supporting their own idols.

Also rumored to be coming are Koda Kumi and SHINee, but AVEX has already clarified that Super Junior is first on the waiting list, since SHINee visited Taiwan late last year and currently has no more plans to do so in the near future.

We have seen many photoshopped, beautified pictures of the Kim Tae Hee wannabe, Ji Yeon from the group T-ara over the past month.

When I first looked at Ji Yeon's picture, I could not stop myself from wondering how much it cost to get the plastic surgery to make her eyes bigger and wider. However, from these new pictures, we can conclude that the width of eyes is not completely man-made! Actually, the width looks about the same as now, but she does look like she had her ssankappul done, but who in the entertainment business didn't? What's sad is that Ji Yeon's possible nose-job, eye-job and everything else doesn't make her jaw droppingly gorgeous. Although she did not have as much plastic surgery as the rest of those in the korean industry, she definitely is not a natural beauty. It's so difficult to find one of those these days. Everyone's debut seems to come hand-in-hand with some type of plastic surgery, even with some male actors and singers.

Male idol group SS501 had their fanmeeting in the airplane for the Korean and Japanese fans. The fanmeeting was name ‘Love and Support to SS501′.

The SS501 members have also stood in as plane attendants to make sure that their fans get a safe and comfortable flight. They served the fans beverages on the flight, and also taught a small lesson on flight safety – making it an unforgettable flight for the fans.

Even though the meaning to album sales has began to take a smaller part to the releasing a new album, but in anyway it is still important to a singer in terms of the value of the music and the singer’s success.

So who has the best album sales in the Kpop realm for the 1st half of year 2009? We follow Hanteo chart to find the results tabulated as till 30th May.

And group Super Junior is said to have the highest album sales, with group So Nyeo Shi Dae following behind at #2. We have our Kings and Queens for the 1st half of 2009!

Super Junior had the highest number of album sales for this 1st half of year 2009. They released their 3rd album ‘Sorry Sorry’ in March selling over 100,ooo copies and SM has speculated with the recent release of version C to the album, the total album sales is expected to breakthrough 200,000 copies sold.

Following behind at #2 is group So Nyeo Shi Dae. They previously released their 1st minialbum ‘Gee’ in January and seeing over 70,000 copies.

Big Bang DaeSung will not join Big Bang for debut broadcast on NHK

Group Big Bang member DaeSung have to give up with performing with Big Bang for their 1st broadcast performance on NHK for the filming of Family Outing.

Big Bang did the recording of their first debut performance into the Japanese major market on NHK ‘Music Japan’ on 1st June. But DaeSung was not present at the recording, because he was participating in the filming of variety show Family Outing. So Big Bang had performed as 4 members.

The reason was that DaeSung wanted to keep to his loyalty on Family Outing. Already, it has been said 2 months back that it will be hard for DaeSung to be on Family Outing because of their performance on 1st June.

This will be the last time for DaeSung to film with fellow Family members Park Ye Jin and Lee Cheon Hee as they will be leaving the team. This is a hard decision for DaeSung but looking at the situation, it seems that he can still perform in the future for Big Bang’s Japan stage but this will be the last time for FO with Park Ye Jin and Lee Cheon Hee.

Big Bang will be focusing on their Japanese activities for 2 months from June. DaeSung’s representative said, “As much as the Japanese activities are important, there are plans for DaeSung to travel between Korea and Japan so that he continues with Family Outing.”

Paran’s company said on 1st June, “There has been hearsay that Paran fans did the gruesome photos, but this is not the truth. The photos are the works of new singer AJ’s one fan.”

There were recently gruesome photos of new singer AJ uploaded online, and fingers have pointed to the Paran member AJ’s fans to have done it.

Super Junior’s new hit ‘It’s You’ is #1 on Mnet chart for the 4th week of May. And the song is written by E-Tribe who also brought to us hits like So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Gee’ and Lee Hyori’s ‘U-Go-Girl’.
