Rain sued for $40 Million

Rain has canceled his “World Tour”. Ji-hoon is to appear in court for fraud-related charges on the 18th.

In accordance with American laws, Rain could have appeared on either the 11th or 12th but decided to push it back to the 18th. If he does not appear, he may subject to an arrest warrant from the Hawaiian courts. He apparently plans to attend the trial and cancel his tour… wise decision Mr Jung.

Honolulu promoter, Click Entertainment purchased the rights as promoter to the Hawaiian concert for June 2007. They claim that Rain, (his former management) JYP Entertainment and StarM (host of the World Tour), canceled the concert unilaterally. Thus, they are suing Rain for $40 million.

Meanwhile, in the Korean courts, Click sued Rain and StarM for fraud charges. The Korean courts found them not guilty of all charges since neither Rain nor StarM had intentions of making money from a fraudulent contract. Rain had asked for a special stage to be installed for safety issues as a clause in the contract, but the promoter had ignored this condition. And so Rain had apparently canceled due to breach of contract.

2PM has an explosive popularity in Nichkhun's hometown

The group that performed in Wonder Girls' concert in Bangkok, 2PM, has one of the greatest number of fans in Thailand.
Since debut, their hits 10점만점에10점 and Only You were successfully promoted.

After touching down, they were surrounded by fans at the airport but managed to get to the recording station in the end. They attended talk shows, fan meetings, interviews and entertainment programes as guests during their trip to Bangkok, officially meeting Thai fans through these activities. Touched by their(fans) enthusiasm and the 2PM members said that there were many more fans than they had expected and were grateful as well as surprised by the amount of support they have received. Saying they have probably rubbed off this luck from Nichkhun.

As Thailand is Nichkhun's hometown, they have a better popularity as compared to many other Korean artistes.

After the Wonder Girls' concert on the 28th, 2PM will continue some activities in the US for Park Jinyoung's JYP 2009 tour.

Manager believes that Jang Ja Yeon was Murdered

Jang Ja Yeon’s former manager Yoo Mo of HoyaSporTainment (호야스포테인먼트) has made some speculative comments regarding Jang Ja Hyeon’s suicide. “Anyone who knows Ja Yeon, no, anyone in the Entertainment industry will know the real reason why Ja Yeon died”.

Yesterday afternoon, Yoo posted a note on his Cyworld Minihomepage titled “To Ja Yeon” and after making a reference to the movie “Public Enemy”, wrote “It was just that Ja Yeon decided to fight a public enemy… because that public enemy caused so much pain and hurt for so many people.

“I am talking to the people who have been deceived, believe in and are protecting the public enemy. Stop protecting them… Ja Yeon, don’t think I’ve given up this fight. Please watch over me.

“Little Dumpling,” Sohee of the Wondergirls puts on her best vampire face for boy group, 8eight in their new music video, “Empty heart.” The 30 second teaser was released today and 8eight’s third album, “The Goldenage” will hit online/offline shops on March 10th.

This is the first time that any of the Wondergirls have been featured in another group’s music video.

Especially when the venue for the filming became known by the fans, they are unable to determine the possibility of safety and risks, which is why they prepared this guerilla date so that it can be kept a secret until the filming.

‘The Hollywood Reporter’ identifies BoA “as next global pop wonder to watch”

Korean singer BoA has been featured for an interview on ‘The Hollywood Reporter (THR)’ site.

THR had an interview during the listening party held on 3rd for BoA’s upcoming 1st American album.

THR wrote in a post ‘BoA Invades America’ on their site, “Korea’s pop sensation BoA has released a new album to advance into the American market. BoA, who has sold over 20 million albums, is already a successful singer in Asia… THR identifies BoA as next global pop wonder to watch.”

They described in the interview, “BoA’s 1st American album ‘BoA‘ includes dance songs that are fresh, all the result her hardwork. It is the kind of music that is club music, but also music that can be enjoyed on the radio and as a performnance. This is the music for the American market.”

A day prior to the release of Seo Taiji’s ‘Seotaiji Atomos Part Secret’ single on March 10, photos of the activity surrounding the making of his first title track, ‘Juliet’ were revealed.

The photos are of the filming of the ‘Juliet’ music video which features Seo Taiji himself and it reveals a little of the concept of ‘Juliet.’

Just like the days of ‘Sure Win’ with Seo Taiji & Boys, looking sharp he is seen with a brown ‘unbalance’ hairstyle along his signature horn-rimmed glasses. He shows off a sophisticated style that overall gives off an air of a modern ‘mix and match’ style.

Lee Junki in Andre Kim’s Fashion Show

The fashion alien guru Andre Kim included hot commodity Lee Junki in his Fashion Fantasia in Bangkok, Thailand on March 7th. Lee Junki looks like a snow prince from Chronicles of Narnia. How charming! Like a vampire snow prince.

Of course the show was a success and everyone praised his mix of classic beauty and modern design. This show also demonstrated the good relations between Thailand and Korea. Yay!

Japanese Producer wants, “SNSD-WG-Kara”

Tsunku, one the most prestigious producers in Japan, has been getting a lot of attention for his interest in Wonder Girls, SNSD, and Kara.

Tsunku had a news conference on the ninth at the Intercontinental Hotel Allegro Hall about the first ever Korea-Japan joint audition project called “Meet Tokyo Girl”.

Tsunku who is the producer for the whole Hello Project artists, including Morning Musume, has been praised highly for his producing ability, thus giving him the authority for the final decision of this audition. Leaders of top Japanese girl groups, Saki Shimizu from Berryz Kobo, and Maimi Yajima from C_ute, also attended the news conference with Tsunku.

On this day, Tsunku said, “I think that the level of Korean music industry is very high. I was not able to access the Korean Music industry easily before. I just recently got familiar with the Korean Industry as the exchange of the entertainment goods is getting more settled in.”

He also added, “I realized that if I don’t try harder, than the Korean music Industry will take over the Japanese music industry. I want to bring Wonder Girls, SNSD, and Kara into my own company, as well as Kangta from H.O.T.”

“Meet Tokyo Girl” is a joint project between Up-Front Entertainment and Mnet Media, in which they will choose a Korean member through open auditions. Starting from the coming 10th to the 19th of April, Tsunku will be choosing the 10 finalists. After the audition, these 10 members will go through an intense training for 8 weeks, and at the end, only one will be chosen to become a trainee for Hello Project. The winner will then go to Japan, and take all the steps that a normal Japanese entertainer would take to debut in Japan

There have been a few people who have commented or asked about what happened to Gahee’s eyes as seen in the above performance. It was clearly visible that Gahee’s eyes were swollen, creating speculations that something was not right. While many speculated that it was probably due to After School’s recent increase in schedule activities, the actual reason behind Gahee’s puffy eyes was the tears she have been shedding for the passing away of her friend, Boys Over Flowers actress Jang Ja Yeon.
