In my opinion the Top 5 should be Bigbang, EXO, Block B, IKON, Winner

There's no one who can contest Bigbang's place
Objectively speaking, EXO's numbers are really high too
The antis are all telling Zico to go solo but the group is doing better than expected
IKON doesn't have that many songs but they're already pretty high
People think that Winner was pushed aside with this album but their grades are pretty good

Why does this matter? Not like any songs here get public recognition like Bang Bang Bang right? "Fear" got some broadcast recognition and a bit of boost but after Bigbang, there might be Zico but no one else

Bigbang, Winner and BlockB all seem to follow their own distinct directions and it's nice to see, those are the kinds of groups that will last long

imo though, considering their track record through the years: beast, infinite and shinee should all be considered as well. (i'd even go as far as saying that it's too early to list ikon and winner as digital kings, but.) with beast, they have a smash digital hit with virtually all of their comebacks, whether it be the pre-release single or the actual promo track. like look at their comeback right now: "butterfly" has maintained steady on the chart for well over a week now, and they got a realtime all kill with "ribbon" earlier / it's holding tight on melon atm. with shinee, they've had certified digital hits with "sherlock", "dream girl" and "view" and they do consistently well despite a few lackluster instances (namely "married to the music") plus they helped to break stereotypes about sm's male groups not doing hot digitally. (this was before exo started to do well digitally, jsyk, because they're obv doing really well too, lmao.) infinite is always belittled but both "be mine" and "the chaser" were hits, plus all of their singles do well overall.

either way, it'll be interesting to see how the year end charts are considering that the only male groups who made all last year were big bang, exo, ikon and shinee.

Shinee yes...but the other two have been on a downward swing. Beast may be reversing it with this comeback but we'll see. Infinite...well...SM bought Woolim for a reason and I don't think it was to assist their growth
