This year’s ceremony will take place on December 4 at Nagoya Dome in Japan — the awards show’s largest venue to date. (OP note: i have no idea how mnet will cram everything into one day, be prepared for a 8-hour-show probably)
Mnet also revealed the theme for this year’s show, explaining, “The concept for 2019 MAMA is ‘The NEXT DIMENSION : MUSIC,’ which means music, the next dimension opening of a new era. On the New Music Grid, both artists and fans will become Music Pioneers, creating MAMA that opens a new world of ‘Music Makes One.'”

In order to be eligible, the music must have been released between November 1, 2018 and October 23, 2019. Voting will take place from October 24 at 6 p.m. KST through December 3 at 11:59 p.m. KST.

Song of the Year and Song Genre Category Awards – 20% official votes, 40% judge panel, 30% digital song sales, 10% physical album sales

Worldwide Icon of the Year, Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 – 60% official votes, 20% social media votes, 20% global music video views
