Ji Hyun Woo reveals he frequently contacts girlfriend Yoo In Na from the military

Actor Ji Hyun Woo, who’s currently serving in the military, revealed that he and his girlfriend, actress Yoo In Na, are still happily in love.

The January 4th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ aired an interview segment featuring the cast members from the military musical, ‘The Promise‘.

When Ji Hyun Woo was asked whether he still keeps in touch with Yoo In Na, the actor answered with a smile, “There has never been a time when Yoo In Na missed my call. We frequently contact each other.”

Back in June 2012, Yoo In Na admitted that she was dating Ji Hyun Woo. The two stars met on the set of tvN‘s ‘Queen Inhyun’s Man‘ and their relationship made headlines after Ji Hyun Woo made a surprise confession during a fan meeting for the drama.

In related news, the military musical ‘The Promise’ celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Korean War. The musical is scheduled to open in January of 2013 at the National Theater of Korea.

It’s nice to hear some adorably sweet news like this in the midst of all these scandals.

it depends on the section you're in after boot camp. like, if you were in the marines, you are supposed to keep the buzz cut throughout your entire stay there.

I don't get the South Korean military system. Are only the conscripts cloistered away from contact?

I'm 11 years US military and I would not still be in if we were restricted like that LOL. During advanced training, after basic training, you are free to call or contact people as your schedule permits and once you're in the regular force it's not an issue at all.

I love that they are still good to go though...and him getting teased LOL

I actually thought that it referred to soldiers who are in the media departments. Hyunbin is definitely not a celebrity soldier.

Firstly, 'celebrity' means a famous person.

If they're posted to other divisions, like infantry, armour, public service, police, air force (e.g. Jo In Sung), etc., they're still celebrity soldiers. Because they are celebrities in the first place.

You can have regular people enlisted to the performing arts division of the army as actors/singers/musicians but they're not celebrity soldiers.

FYI, Hyun Bin was given extra leaves too but he rejected them, from what I heard. He was also in the Marine Corp's PR department for a while.
