Yoo Seung Ho has decided to enlist in the military.
According to his agency, Yoo Seung Ho has decided that ‘I Miss You‘ would be his last project before enlisting.
He will be enlisting in early 2013, and will be enlisting not as an entertainment solider but as a regular solider. Yoo Seung Ho will be 19 next year, and has decided to join his fellow 19-year-olds in enlisting in the military. After ‘I Miss You’ ends, he will be taking a short break before enlisting.
His agency added, “He has a strong will to fulfill his role as a member of Korea’s youth before being an actor. ‘I Miss You’ will be his last project that he can meet viewers with before his enlistment. It will be a meaningful project for him, so he will be working even harder“.

btw i heard the mandatory service is going to be shortened by three months, what do you omonians think?

Also, South Korea has a defence pact with the US, so it's not like North Korean soldiers could just march in if they stopped forcing their young men to enlist.

Especially after the whole 'omg she's nine years older than he is' with the picture from when he was like, fifteen or something can't be helping his career. He's already got a bit of a name, and being 22/23 when he goes into his next show and having already done his service will give him a lot of cred for being an adult actor, I can only imagine.
I need to actually finish God of Study. o.o I'm watching it with my sister and she just acquires emotional problems about finishing series when they start to get into the home stretch and get really emotional. She's such a wet blanket, I swear. >.>

I thought you gonna give us a good project after 'I Miss You' where you actually playing a satisfying character (not a vulnurable character) but I guess I have to wait another 2 years for that. He was a super popular child actor and he's transitioned well into adult roles in past couple of years better than most child actors. He knows he'll still be in high demand when he gets back because he's that stable in the industry.
I only wish he gets another drama before enlisting. I Miss You is just so emotionally draining, I stopped watching at episode 5 or 6.

This will also give him sometime to mature in terms of his looks a little. He definitely can pass for older than 19 now, but I think the 2 years will really solidify his "adult" look.
