Soompi reports that all groups have tested negative for Covid after a dancer of The Boyz crew tested positive (see Omona post here). Members Kim Donghyuk (Ikon), Yoo Taeyang (SF9) and Juyeon (The Boyz) have been identified as persons who have come into close contact with the case and will have to self-quarantine for 14 days. The rest of the groups will continue their activities as scheduled.

Date: 2021-05-08 10:54 am (UTC)this episode was pretty fun, seeing the groups interact a bit more, trolling changmin by grabbing every moment to use banmal to cheer on q/changmin (who is such a cutie!), and the painful moments for the groups private parts in the first round.. tbz' kevin carried this episode together with, as always, btob... i love eunkwang
i absolutely agree with minhyuk being voted first place as visual king because he was sooo hot this episode, but sf9 not making the f4 of visuals is inexplicable to me! (i might be biased but still expected hwiyoung, yoo taeyang or jaeyoon to make it) if rowoon would've attended.....
kind of excited to see the rap mess of the next episode, weirdly looking forward to the wolf performance and the other dance performance. i don't really understand still how this episode will work point-wise and i feel like a no-limit stage benefits certain groups over others but i know i should stop expecting fairness in this competition. i also feel weird about 3 pretty foundational members to 3 groups' performances having to quarantaine for 2 weeks while they have to prepare for their final stage

I liked everyone just chilling and interacting with each other, even trolling Changmin every time Q came out. I too was simping for Minhyuk and he rightfully deserves visual king!! Also, tf mnet, you had footage of hwiyoung and you decided to release it in this way? Devious. (Jongho was a mood waxing poetic about him, and it made me excited to watch Imitation, which I did right after haha)
I feel like the division of teams for the 3rd round feels kind of uneven, but I can't really explain it. I'm still excited to see how it's going to pan out, though I did worry about the possibility of certain... stylistic choices for the rap units (fingers crossed that there are none of those choices). Vocal units are giving me IU and Taeyeon songs, so I'm just hoping it all works out (also, I still have no clue who's representing SF9 for vocal since they didn't show anyone aside from Hwiyoung for them in the teaser).
Mnet remains a mess considering they won't move the filming of the final stage despite the situation, and it sucks. I can only hope that everyone prepares safely and that everyone can finally be free of the show (and have better careers domestically and internationally too, since that's the real prize lbr)

it's pretty weird that they didn't show who would represent sf9 in the previews for dance and vocals? i mean, it's obvious it's taeyang for dance but for vocals? inseong or maybe jaeyoon?

i also generally think that i am not impressed by men doing sports things but i cant lie i was weirdly affected by how good minhyuk and bang chan were at the vault and it was more fun to watch than i expected. i was also very impressed by wooyoung and taeyang in the relay! like i knew both of them were fit but i dont think ive ever seen either of them run like that before
my comment about visuals is too long rip i'll post it separately
and for next week i still, even after watching with subs, dont really understand how the points are working but excited to see collab stages in general!

i agree with most of this list but i think i would swap felix for han, he and bang chan were the two skz members that caught my eye watching this show. felix such a cutie too but not really my type

in the pictures of ateez you chose are really good! i feel like on this show, they are wearing a lot of heavy makeup (especially for their eyebrows) which i feel like doesn't always show off their visuals very well

I don't think I have an athletic bone in my body so I've always stayed away from doing any kind of sports but enjoy watching a lot since we watch a lot at home specially basketball and volleyball (I grew up with 3 older brothers and a father whos into cycling since his teens that tour de france is part of regular tv). College volleyball is our favorite and watch it together.

2. Juyeon (That kid is so hot)
3. Taeyang (Rowoon is gorgeous, but Taeyang is more my style. Jaeyoon's booty is SF9's visual king tho)
4. Seonghwa (So pretty, he looks good in anything they give him. San & Wooyoung are also gorgeous to me)
5. Felix (I have 0 attraction to him, but he's such a pretty kid)

they need to do acapella together w/ Changmin somehow after the show ends w/ Hyunsik and Sungjae out bc he's the biggest DBSK fanboyI'm so glad Minhyuk and Peniel did really well without hurting themselves. Minhyuk has had a lot of practice on good vaulting technique, but I'm surprised Peniel did so well in all of the games (all those gym gains)
why are so many groups (like SF9) wearing jeans to vault?! I'm sure they're not jegging materials so I wonder what their coordis were thinking
Eunkwang's reaction to getting 4th for visual (before knowing the # of votes) is 30% flattered 70% embarrassed "i don't belong here" lol. It's funny to see how shy Minhyuk was too. In BTOB, he's usually overshadowed by Sungjae as the visual due to his height
I think they should have done this after the first introductory To the World performance just so they and the viewers could get to know all the groups to make the other episodes less boring and more interactive. It's hard sitting through a lot of group performances/decision making when you're not invested.
