if this is any indication there's going to be a lot of "same perf syndrome" on this show. BTOB's was actually rly refreshing compared to the majority and while I'm pretty familiar with a lot of these groups most of these stages were interchangeable so I hope their teams see that and seriously switch it up during the main show. RTK has the same problem.

As I expected there was a lot of stunts while BTOB had their mics on lol. I love vocals. (I think a few rappers from some groups had their mics on as well but I'm not sure.)

SF9 stayed classy although they might not stand out with that performance. Or they would stand out for not doing stunts, idk. I saw some tweets asking who the SF9 center is, get that attention Yoo Taeyang!

The Boyz made things a little different from the others with that bit of classical mix. Otherwise the acrobatics groups sort of blended into each other.

I don't know IKON or their song but that was kinda catchy especially near the end.

Stand outs for me was 1) the dance break from the boyz otherwise the rest of it made them blend in with all the the other groups, 2) sf9 because it worked in their favor to keep their routine contained so it made them stand out among a sea of what looked like similar routines and the fact they came out in suits and we saw legs for days helped, and 3) btob delivering on vocals as expected.

i only saw snippets of the z-groups performances (was watching this live while preparing lunch lol) but it all felt a bit similar though the stunts were impressive. i really liked btob's stage though, love that they're centering their vocals!

i wish sf9 would get more interesting choreo but also that they get the opportunity to showcase their vocals! their 'we are EXPENSIVE MEN in SUITS with an expensive DIAMOND' concept suited as an introduction for their group's style but not necessarily talents.
some btob members were giving them a standing ovation which was really good and what was rowoon holding in that last shot on the bleachers... a shoe???

Eunkwang and Rowoon were on a program called Lipstick Prince around 2017 with a few others such as Shownu, Doyoung, etc. where they learned to put make-up and would apply it on their female guests! Eunkwang is also O Sole Mio #1 fan with how much he sang it back then lol.

i already said everything i needed to say about the other groups in the rowoon post but sf9 weren't as different from the other groups as some peoples reactions led me to believe now that i've seen it. their dance break was very similar to the other groups except it was missing a backflip thats it lol. idk i could also see how tired they were normally their synchronicity is pretty good but it was off here i don't know how fnc expect them to do well when they'll be doing this alongside their other personal schedules.

but they can stand still and look sexy and i'll be more visually entertained by them than the other groups doing 200 backflips.

also happy fnc didnt actually force rowoon to participate when they filmed this. i reckon he will be performing as the show goes on but at least they showed some sense this time i am pleasantly surprised.

i agree that sf9's synchronicity was off, you could see that the editing/camera tried to avoid showing it but you could tell that they weren't as sharp as they can be. it's bizarre to think about them being on this show with sooo many individual projects going on

i was also happy to see rowoon sitting this performance out (cheering them on and holding a shoe or something) and i also expect him to be joining their performances during the actual show, he seemed to have shared some medical records (?? why) on his insta stories a few days ago so i guess he's working hard on recovery

it's not a great first impression to people who don't know them cause they're normally perfectly in sync. its frustrating cause more exposure is a good thing but if theyre too tired and dont have the opportunity to practice together a lot theyre only going to show performances that dont showcase what theyre actually capable of and id rather they not do it at all. as far as im aware none of the other groups have multiple members with personal schedules happening at the same time so theyre already at a disadvantage :/

yes it looked to be shoe lmao who knows why. i assume he was trying to be reassuring because fans (like me lol) are constantly trashing fnc for making him do any activities but i dont like he felt the need to share those when hes generally pretty private i'm hoping fnc didnt pressure him to. i find it difficult to give fnc the benefit of the doubt but considering they didnt force him to perform this time i have to assume when he does eventually perform that he's happy too but i still hope he stays away from any particularly strenuous choreo because i think last year it wasnt just his back but his knees too someone just wrap him in bubblewrap please lol

I always forget about Penial until he raps, his style of rapping in this was hilarious to me. I’m glad Bobby showered for this performance.
It was great fun over all.

The single silent shot of each idol at the end with the awkward clapping in the background took me out.
