Happy Friday! Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 2nd week of December, 2015. Some of the songs have been posted before, so we will see some live stages.

#3 Twice “Like Ooh Ahh”
This was their debut song, and was released about 3 months after the show “Sixteen” ended. The song would stay on the charts for months, peaking in the top ten. I don’t listen to this particular song very often, but when I do I channel the fuck out of Momo during her little dance break. I know I'm not the only one. Here is the group’s debut stage.

#2 San E & Mad Clown “Sour Grapes”
This was a non-album collaboration between the two rappers that charted and sold very well. This followed up hit collabs with other artists this year, San E with Baek Yerin’s “Me You” and Mad Clown with Jinsil “Fire”. Good year for the both of them.

#1 EXID “Hot Pink”
2015 was their big breakout year thanks to Hani’s fancam, and this would be their last single for the year. It was released as a single but included in their “Street” album the following year. I remember the “pink hot pink hot” part of the chorus, but nothing else. What the hell is going on in this MV? That hair color on Jeonghwa is nice and that’s the only nice thing I have to say about the video lol.

Honorable Mentions

#6 f(x) “4 Walls”

I think this is still my favorite f(x) song. This is the single from the group’s fourth (and final) album. It is also the first release as a four member group after Sulli left two months prior to focus on acting. The group would follow up this release with their first concert tour a few months later. Why it took them so long to get their own tour is weird to me. But then again they didn’t even get a fandom name until that tour either so wtf SM. Anyways, here’s their comeback stage at M Countdown.

#9 Lee Hong Gi “Insensible”

In 2015 he announced that not only would he making his solo debut, but would be releasing solo albums in Korea and Japan. They would be released about a month apart. “Insensible” was his debut solo single from the Korean album, “FM302”. I’m honestly surprised it took him so long to have a solo album. I’ve always really liked his voice. The MV stars actress Park Shin Hye.

TWICE is super cute in that stage! I've never heard that song, since I listened to some of their pre-Fancy stuff and it was too cutesy for me. It doesn't really stick out to me but the dance break was cute!

i couldn't tolerate that twice song when it came out, lol. maybe due to a mix of being super ill and a lot going on at that time? idk! but i like it now. 😂

all i remember from hot pink is LE's "i like the way you pink it" line and nothing else. not my fave era of theirs, clearly.

4 walls is still a great song. unfortunately it's still the only one i like from the album.

I LOVE 4 Walls. Such a good song. It gets compared to View a lot because they're the same genre and came out in the same year. but I think 4 Walls is better than View 😬 (I know my shawol card can be suspended just for saying that)

4walls era is so iconic, and I still love Hot Pink - Hani's hair during that era is so good!

LOA is one of my favorite debuts ever. It was the start of my favorite group :))) I’m surprised it charted that high for that long (since it came out in October), even though the song wasnt a big hit like Cheer Up it clearly was a success in its own right!

I love Exid - but Hot Pink was such a dud of a release. It was just really missing something for me and I basically never revisit it lol.

4walls is a classic now, even non Kpop fans seem to vibe with it lol

LOA is such a great song and concept. Too bad that they hit big with Cheer Up and had to follow up with childish concepts :/

Hot Pink is one of my favorite EXID songs and I think the MV is quiet funny

sometimes i forget hongki has a solo career and a whole solo music style that doesnt even match with ftisland

4 walls era was so underrated , i guess the shock of seeing fx without sulli really affected this comeback

little we knew :(

I remember that Bestie song coming out. The only thing I remember is the bras outside of their shirts during the dance and thinking how uncomfortable.

It's funny that I hadn't really liked LOA when TWICE dropped it but now I love it lol Oh how the times have changed!

I'll be honest, I don't listen to Hot Pink much...But I do remember the thumb bite dance and the fact that they say "hot pink" in the song...That's about it.

4Walls is such an iconic era, can't believe it was the last we were ever going to hear from f(x) as a group. At least they went out with a bang!

Man Hongki's solo Japanese title songs are so much better than his Korean, not that they're bad but the B-sides outshine them a lot

I rewatched the LOA MV recently, can't believe how old the song is now
