I read that in this 6 hours awards show Girl Groups got a total of 40 minutes of screen-time, in a year where Girl Groups dominated the charts.. It's a sausage fest every year and it's getting worse & worse. Rookie bgs getting 10+ mins of air time when rookie ggs aren't even invited.

kudos to everybody staying up for the whole show bc I thought you were all bluffing when it was said to be 6 hours long! omg. I woke up just before 4am bc I was scared I'd miss Taemin just in case he opened the show - and HE DID - and then I stayed up just to see him lose the best dance performance solo, so I went back to bed, and woke up again in time to see him win the favourite male dance solo & perform with BoA!

trying not to be too mad even though I want him to win more (& not a 'favourite' award when he deserves 'best' and all the main awards) bc Taemin still had an INCREDIBLE year with NGDA - he's on a whole new level right now. one of these days i'll see him walk away with more than one trophy on that arm. he was so cute accepting it though! it was worth the lack of sleep to see him smile like that.

& the stage?! omg it should've been longer! I can't believe he only got 6 minutes bc I wanted more of Criminal and Heaven! that dance break before the final chorus for Idea was AMAAAAZING though. he went all out. I might watch the other performances later but I really just tuned in to see him & got to see BoA's & that was it.

This sausage fest is killing me and I've only came for Taemin and BoA at this point. And I'm extremely salty Taemin did not win the awards he should have, but he knows he's much better than awards shows

I think, that if and when Mamamoo disbands, Hwasa is the one that is going to be extremely successful. At least that is what I think.
I really want to enjoy the group, but that performance...

same. I showed up for Taemin and BoA and didn't watch the other stuff really. I'm glad I got some sleep in between too bc it was way too early in the morning to stay up for that long. I'm glad Taemin's getting recognition from the industry and from awards that aren't a part of the usual circuit + music shows, at least. it'd be disheartening if he was only up for these bc with the way the votes are counted, it's v unlikely he'll snag more than best dance solo (and he didn't even get that this year. :( i'm glad he accepted something but the 'favourite' is not the same).

NCT had the biggest performance but they're a million so it's fair they all need their time on screen. They looked cute.

Can't believe my girls GFriend weren't nominated.

The whole "I wear a mask but I'm touching the mic" I didn't understand, and the sanitiser girl only sprayed the award, like why.

I hope no one in all the staff or even in the artists was sick because damn even without an audience they were a lot, and letting the staff stay outside in the cold was harsh. We're in December not June.

Anyway, my fav performances were of course BTS (though I prefer the MMA one as I'm a Black Swan ho) and Twice (the new song!!) but I also liked the trio aka The Boyz, Ateez and Stray Kids. I don't really vibe with their music that much but the energy and just the overall performance today was great.

Taemin and Boa are of course legends and royalty and everyone should take notes.

NCT was great as well, I loved that new version of From Home and I'm so so happy WayV got to perform their song as well ♥ I still hate Resonance, the mess that it is, but it's much better on stage than in the MV.

One thing I definitely want to forget from today's performances is Mamamoo and their whole cultural appropriation performance like uh .. They deadass called it "agrabah version" like ... What the hell?

You can't watch SVT's performance and not think that they were robbed of the best dance award. Honestly the winners don't surprise me anymore, they have to come up with all these extra awards to justify having other groups show up. I pretty much only watched Taemin, BoA, Twice, and SVT.

Twice deserved more than they got. I just started listening to them with this current comeback, but even I know they're extremely popular and deserved better.
