“Lovely Horribly” is described as a “horror romantic comedy” about a man and a woman who are bound by an unusual fate: one’s happiness always results in the other’s misfortune. Park Shi Hoo will be playing a successful A-list actor whose luck never seems to run out, while Song Ji Hyo will star as an unlucky drama writer for whom nothing ever seems to go according to plan.

Lee Gikwang will be playing Sung Joong, a rookie producing director (PD) who holds the key to unlocking the secrets of the drama’s plot. His role is set to be pivotal in increasing the tension in the drama and he can see ghosts.

“Lovely Horribly” is the script that won the grand prize at KBS’s miniseries screenwriters contest last year and will premiere in August, following the end of “Are You Human, Too?”

“Player” will be a revenge story that brings together people who are talented in their respective fields like a genius con artist, hacker, driver, and fighter. They will band together to go on the hunt for illegally amassed fortunes, and it will be a fun and exciting action drama. The project will be helmed by producing director (PD) Go Jae Hyun of “Black” and “Syndrome,” and the script will be written by screenwriter Shin Jae Hyung, who won the Best Rookie Novelist Award at the 2011 Korea Detective Literature Awards.

Song Seung Heon will play genius con artist Kang Ha Ri, who is quick witted, handsome, and daring. The only son of a family of prosecutors, he was on a path to follow the family tradition but an unexpected tragedy left him without a family and turning to a life of crime. Krystal will play a skilled driver Cha Ah Ryung. She grew up in an orphanage and picked up an interesting set of skills like picking locks and pickpocketing after running away. The skill she always excelled at most was driving. She had been hoping to break away from her circumstances when she meets Kang Ha Ri and begins a new life.

Lee Si Eon will be playing the talented hacker Lim Byung Min, who has always solved all of his issues with a computer from a young age and has the ability to find whatever information he needs. However, he is also a shy and cowardly person when his computers are taken away from him. He gets into a sticky situation when he is asked to use his skills for nefarious purposes, from which he is saved from by Kang Ha Ri and they strike up an unlikely friendship.

“Player” will be the follow-up drama to “Voice 2” and is slated to air in the second half of 2018.

Lee Young-ae to return with period spy romance drama

Actress Lee Young-ae will return to the small screen with a new spy-romance series set in colonial-era Korea that will premiere next year, the show's PR agency said Tuesday.

"Different Dream (English title pending) will be broadcast worldwide next year when the nation celebrates the centenary of the establishment of the provisional Korean government during Japanese colonial rule," Seoul-based agency The Tik Tok said.

Set in Seoul, Manchuria and Shanghai during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea (1910-1945), the series revolves around Kim Won-bong, who led a major group of Korean independence fighters called "Uiyeoldan," and a surgeon named Lee Young-jin, played by Lee, who is adopted by a Japanese couple and later hired as a spy by the Korean government-in-exile in Shanghai.

The casting for other major roles, including Kim Won-bong, is currently under way and shooting will begin at overseas locations in Mongolia and China this fall, according to the agency. It remains undecided which television network will distribute the series.

"We're going to present a quality drama that can be received well both at home and abroad and befit the centenary of the provisional government," said Han Seok-won, one of the drama's producers.

Lee last appeared in "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors," a 28-episode series that was aired on SBS TV in 2017.

Korean version of "Life On Mars" starts this weekend

While chasing a serial killer in 2018, a detective is involved in an accident. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself in 1988. Wondering if he is dreaming, he becomes extremely confused, as if he'd landed on a different planet -- like Mars.

The set-up is the backdrop of the new OCN series "Life on Mars," the Korean adaptation of a popular British TV series broadcast on BBC One from January 2006 to April 2007.

"Along With The Gods 2" gets a release date

On June 5, the movie announced its premiere date and released the official teaser poster. This movie is a sequel to 2017 hit film “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.” The first film was a huge success, breaking records by accumulating over 14.4 million moviegoers. In addition, the film also received attention for being the first Korean movie to film both first and second movie at the same time.

The movie will star the original three grim reapers Joo Ji-Hoon, Ha Jung-Woo, and Kim Hyang-Gi, in addition to Ma Dong-Seok and Kim Dong-Wook. Furthermore, it will also feature actor Lee Jung-Jae as a special appearance.

“Along With the Gods 2′ will tell a story about the three grim reapers, as they guide their 49th soul through the stages of afterlife. Upon completion of the guide, they will gain the opportunity of rebirth. However, they encounter a Sung Ju God (Ma Dong-Seok) who has the memory of the past thousand years, and end up going on an adventure to discover a hidden secret.

Queen Yoon Mirae announces full album and solo concert

Yoon Mi-rae announced that she would be returning with a full album in early July. As part of her comeback and promotions, the rapper also shared that she will take to the stage to perform for fans at Jangchung Gymnasium on July 14 and 15. In particular, this will be the first time in 12 years that Yoon will have a solo concert.

Regarding the announcement, her agency Feelghood Music asked that everyone “pay a lot of attention to the solo concert” where Yoon is expected to perform new and old songs.

Amazingly, Yoon has maintained her position as a pop star for 20 years diverse musical spectrum with an emphasis on hip-hop and R&B. Currently, her anticipated summer album “Gemini 2” was created with love and labor over the course of 16 years.
