I love everything about this, but I would have killed for a rap break somewhere in it. I can’t stop my wonderful heart from imagining this being a Wonder Girl’s bside off of Reboot though <\3. That’s definitely not a bad thing though because Reboot was full of bops.
I LOVE THIS! I still wish she would have used a contemporary concept, but I'm not mad. She looks perfect and her singing has improved so much over the years. I want every outfit she's wearing and hope we get to see her perform live on music shows.
i was really expecting a rap break though, but I'll take what I can get. i'm digging the video aesthetic though, it's so reminiscent of videos my parents used to watch!
So they definitley did their best to recreate some iconic anime motifs that have become standard in City-Pop/Future-Funk.
I wish the video had a bit more something though, it's not bad, it's just... JYPE. But considering it's taken 3-4 for Yubin to get a solo out the door, I'm pleased with this.
For now, it's Song > Video. I'm excited to see her twirl around on music stages in those dresses and fishnets!
I like it but I feel like the start of the chorus wasn't very well defined? and I'm halfway through before I realise that it actually is the chorus, if that makes sense?
I said something similar on tumblr. Like, the chorus, pre-chorus, and verses all kind of meld together too seamlessly and the song feels like one long hook or something.
Hmmmm I know it’s supoosed to be reminiscent of the 80s but the MV feels really cheap? And I guess the sound quality is too but I don’t like how the song sounds echoey? We’ll see if it grows on me in time or not
