When Girls’ Generation released their first single “Into the New World” in August 2007, there was a burden of weight on both their name and the promise of their single to bring the nonet into its future. But now, as the act celebrates their 10th anniversary with the release of the new album Holiday Night, it’s clear that this truly is the generation of the Girls as the K-pop group has gained recognition throughout the globe as one of the industry's leaders over the years thanks to numerous hits in both Korean and Japanese.
The new singles “All Night” and “Holiday” are just two more additions to Girls’ Generation's repertoire, bringing their total count of singles to over 30, without even including all the B-sides and promotional songs that also garnered music videos (shout out to “Chocolate Love,” “Way To Go!” and “Visual Dreams”). While there will hopefully be a lot more music moving forward from them, this seems like the perfect time to take a look back at the past decade through their title tracks.

"Live Up To Your Name" Teaser
2017-08-11 11:06 pmkeytfelt.livejournal.comMore promos are up for tvN’s next Saturday-Sunday drama Live Up to Your Name, which is a combo of some of the best 2017 trends: a medical-sageuk-timeslip fusion drama. Kim Nam-gil and Kim Ah-joong are headlining, and they are both playing medical professionals, albeit ones with completely different philosophies and from different time periods. The latest teaser shows both of them in their respective time periods on their way to work.
In old Joseon 400 years ago, Kim Nam-gil’s character runs through the palace gates, going to the Chinese medicine pharmacy. He announces himself to the people as Heo Im, and says he’ll do his best to treat the patients, and we see brief flashes of him working his needles masterfully. According to the second poster, the drama will show the story of what happens when he, Joseon’s best acupuncturist, meets Korea’s best surgeon, played by Kim Ah-joong.
Kim Ah-joong’s part of the teaser begins with her speeding down hospital corridors. When she arrives at the OR, she flings off her gown and says she’ll lead the surgery. Then we see her all prepped in a gown as the teaser ends.

Lee Soo Hyuk officially enlisted in the army on August 10.
The actor commented, “I wanted to tell my fans beforehand while spending some time with them, but I feel sorry that I didn’t get the chance to do so. I will carry out my duties faithfully and return in a healthy state. I want to express my love and gratitude to those who are supporting me.”
His agency YG Entertainment stated, “Lee Soo Hyuk will be enlisting in the afternoon. We didn’t release a statement earlier because we wanted to respect his wishes to enlist quietly.”
