BTOB's second solo project has been announced to be lead by Jung Ilhoon, who will release his new track this month.
According to sources, Ilhoon's solo track will hit music sites on May 30th. Last month, member Changsub released the first part of BTOB's solo project Piece of BTOB, which promises to deliver a solo every month to showcase the colours of each member.
Ilhoon showcased his versatile composing abilities through BTOB's latest title track 'Movie', as well as the song 'Beautiful' he composed for junior group Pentagon. In a concert held earlier this year, Ilhoon also revealed a self-composed track called 'Fancy Shoes' that revealed his abilities as a solo performer, heightening expectations for his upcoming solo.

Singer-songwriter Suran has announced new details about her long-awaited first mini album!
On May 25 at midnight KST, Suran shared a teaser image for her mini album entitled “Walkin’.” She writes as the caption, “Finally. My first ever mini album,” and reveals that it will be released on June 2 at 6 p.m. KST.
It was previously announced that Dean will be producing and featuring on one of the tracks on Suran’s new mini album.
After establishing herself as a well-respected artist through her singles and collaborations with artists such as BTS’ Suga, rapper Beenzino, and Block B’s Zico, Suran recently shot to the top of the charts with her single “Wine” (featuring rapper Changmo), which was co-produced by Suga.

On May 23, SM Entertainment and Mystic Entertainment announced that they would be collaborating together on a new music variety show.
The show will be a team-up between Mystic’s producing director (PD) Yeo Woon Hyuk and SM’s PD Lee Ye Ji. Yeo Woon Hyuk has previously worked as the chief of JTBC’s variety department and launched the success of shows like “Ssulzun” and “Ask Us Anything.” Lee Ye Ji has previously worked in the KBS variety department on shows such as “Hello Counselor” and “Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education” (also known as “Cool Kiz on the Block”).
The new variety show will showcase Mystic and SM artists collaborating together on music. The first pair to work together will be Mystic’s Parc Jae Jung (from “Superstar K5”) and NCT’s Mark.
Lee Ye Ji said, “Parc Jae Jung is a fan of NCT’s Mark. That’s why the project will begin with their collaboration. Their energy creates a synergy between them that moves both us PDs and I believe it can move both agencies as well.”
Yeo Woon Hyuk said, “In summary, it’s a music collaboration between SM and Mystic. SM has a good system in place, while Mystic has a more freewheeling creative approach. They make two different kinds of music. If they made music together, what kind of sound could they create? That’s how we started this project.”
The new program is expected to air sometime in July.
Previously, SM became the largest shareholder in Mystic.

Upcoming drama “Bride of the Water God” has released still cuts of the cast’s first script that took place in March.
Actors including Shin Se Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk, Im Joo Hwan, f(x)’s Krystal, and Gong Myung took part in the read-through with producer Kim Byung Soo and writer Jung Yoon Jung.
Kim Byung Soo started off by saying, “I will work my hardest so we can complete the drama well without any troubles.” Jung Yoon Jung showed her trust in the cast and crew, adding, “If the actors and production team work hard together, a great drama is bound to be born. I hope the incredible passion of the actors can allow us to create something that capture the hearts of viewers.”
Once the script reading began, the facial expressions of the actors completely shifted as they poured in passion for their new characters.
Shin Se Kyung brought her character So Ah to life with expressive emotions and youthful energy. She commented, “Please look forward to the sweet romance with the water god,” hinting at her chemistry with Nam Joo Hyuk.
Nam Joo Hyuk declared, “I will work my hardest,” and showed the thought he put into his character, the water god Ha Baek, with impressive facial expressions and gestures.
Im Joo Hwan, Krystal, and Gong Myung also demonstrated their strong acting skills and unique charms, raising anticipation for the positive result their teamwork will bring to the drama.
“Bride of the Water God” is a modern day adaption of a Korean manhwa of the same title. The tvN drama will air its first episode on July 3 at 10:50 p.m. KST after the conclusion of “Circle.”
