Rookie actress Lee Soo Kyung apologizes for inappropriate behavior at drama conference

Rookie actress Lee Soo Kyung, is being criticized by fans of actor Choi Woo Shik and After School’s UEE for her attitude in the press conference of drama “Hogu’s Love.”

On January 29, the press conference for new tvN drama “Hogu’s Love” was held at a hotel in Nonhyun-dong.

In the conference, UEE talked about how she had to spend time with Lee Soo Kyung on New Year’s Day. While UEE was sharing the story, Lee Soo Kyung made an “X” with her arms and suddenly interrupted UEE by picking up the microphone to say UEE was lying. In the video, UEE tells Lee Soo Kyung to put the microphone down. The fans also claimed that while UEE was making a promise to dance in front of a building with Lee Soo Kyung if the drama received good ratings, Lee Soo Kyung frowned and glared at UEE.

Moreover, Lee Soo Kyung was also criticized for calling Choi Woo Shik “stupid.” Choi Woo Shik’s character’s name in the drama is Kang Ho Gu, and “hogu” is also the Korean word for “a pushover” or “an idiot.” When the MC asked Lee Soo Kyung why she picked Choi Woo Shik as the most “hogu” like person, she answered, “Choi Woo Shik seemed like a ‘hogu’ since the first time I met him. I don’t know how to describe it, but he fully represents the word ‘hogu’ itself.” Although some pointed out that it can merely be a play of words, many viewers who watched the video have called her rude for interrupting sunbae actors when they were talking and unabashedly calling Choi Woo Shik “an idiot.”

Sure she's young but she's a high school senior, she's certainly at an age where she should know how to act appropriately. [STARCAST] GOT7’s Diary of the First Vacation!

Hello, STARCAST readers! Are you taking care not to catch a cold in this cold weather?
GOT7, who won the two Rookie of the Year awards as a result of their enormous efforts after making debut on January 16th 2014, took a sweet vacation!
Now STARCAST releases the pictures and footage of the vacation GOT7 members had.


For a start, Mark went on vacation to his homeland, California.
GOT7’s eldest taciturn, Mark had a great time with his family after a long time. The man wearing glasses on the right of the picture is Marks’ father. Oh! Who is that cute guy on the left? Is he Yugyeom? Right, things were going as you expected. Yugyeom visited Mark’s home during this vacation. He said that he made a special and memorable moment with Marks’ family members and friends.


In front of the huge tree under the deep blue sky, Yugeom is smiling with his arms outspread. It seems that he is having so much fun, doesn’t it?


Yugyeom is in the Batman costume and the picture was taken by Mark. I can feel the force of Batman from his back. They took this picture in front of Mark’s house!


In the picture, Yugyeom is standing on a shopping street near the beach in Santa Monica. He looks like he did a little bit of shopping this vacation, doesn’t he?


California was not the only spot where Mark and Yugyeom had a vacation. They spent the moment in Las Vegas, Nevada! Mark and Yugyeom took the commemorative photograph in front of the Wynn hotel with friends of Mark’s.


While Mark and Yugyeom was having great time in U.S.A., ‘Wild & Sexy’ Jackson went back home to Hong Kong.
You guys all know that he was a member of the national fencer team, right? So, Jackson had his commemorative picture taken with his former fencing teammates.

Jackson met again the coach who had given instruction in fencing from his early childhood. He is making warm smile as meeting his old teacher, isn’t he?


Lately, Jackson’s mother made a surprise visit in ‘Roommate’ in which Jackson is appearing. Upon seeing his mother at that time, he gave a big hug with tears in his eyes. He had a lovely time with his mother during this vacation.

By the time Jackson was having a great time with his family members, close friends and old teacher, Jr. was taking a sweet rest across the sea, in Japan. Jr. said that he had wanted to take a picture containing the ‘fantastic’ mood between the reality and unreality, strolling through the streets of Disney Sea in Tokyo.


Jr. is waiting for going on the rides in Tokyo’s Disneyland. He is wearing the Tigger scarf around his neck, which looks cuter than Tigger, doesn’t it?


Jr. took a souvenir picture in the Shibuya streets on the first day he arrived in Tokyo. Standing onto a pole, he seems very relaxed thanks to the vacation, doesn’t he?


Like that, GOT7 recharged their energy by having a pleasant moment with their families and close friends in U.S.A., Hong Kong and Japan. The sight of the pictures makes us feel that ‘they had a real good time in there.’ However, JB, Youngjae, BamBam is not be seen! What’s the matter with them? One story is that they were concentrating on practicing the special choreography but… actually they had their own great time.
They enjoyed their own game at the bowling alley!


Before starting the game, JB, BamBam and Youngjae took a commemorative photograph, holding bowling balls in their hands. Who would be the winner of the game?


JB, BamBam and Youngjae who decided to enjoy leports on their vacation went to the bowling alley. They consented that the loser picks up the bills. The look of JB whose sight set on winning isn’t just any old look.



So, GOT7’s leader, JB starts the game! I’m dying to know the result!


It’s BamBam’s turn. He looks kind of calm. How good is his bowling ability?


-BamBam’s bowling form is as great as a pro player’s.


Now, I am the winner! Youngjae throws the bowling ball with a bright smile on his face.


What about the result? Youngjae dropped on his knees on the floor. Though I am laughing, I am not really laughing inside~


Do you know that I always win whatever I do? I will be the champion of the game with this fluorescent bowling ball.



For some reason, the ranking is expected. JB is full of his composure compared to younger brothers.



Now, you may noticed. The bottom of the ranking turned out to be Youngjae~ It’s okay, Youngjae. There will be another day you can win!

K-Pop Idols: Who Trained the Longest and the Shortest?

With the recent debut of G.Soul who trained for 15 years, the length of K-Pop idols training (which can be particularly long in the K-Pop industry) has become a hot topic. Is it necessary to train for that long? How long exactly should one train for? Idols often discuss how long or how short their training period was, so here is a compilation. The list is divided by trainee period. By the way, these years can vary as there are different opinions on official debuts (those with debatable trainee lengths will be marked with an asterisk*). Do you think trainee length is directly related to talent? Share how long your favorite idol was a trainee for in the comments below! Also see if you can guess who the trainees in the pictures are!

Zero Years and Months! Yeeun was able to join Wonder Girls immediately after auditioning; this was seen through their reality show “MTV Wonder Girls.”

Less than 6 months: The following idols were lucky enough to train for less than 6 months: Ryeowook*, Kyuhyun*, Chen, Baekhyun, 2AM’s Changmin, Hara, and Jiyoung.

More than 6 months: Shindong, Seungri, Jinwoon, Suzy, and Gyuri had a training period of less than a year. As we go further down this list, it’s harder to find pictures of the K-Pop idols as trainees since they trained for a short time. Suzy, modeled before her debut, so there are some more pictures of her available.

~1 year: Yoochun, Amber, and Sunmi were able to debut after one and a half years of training. Meanwhile, Wooyoung, Daesung, T.O.P, KARA‘s Seungyeon, and Nicole trained for a year.

~2 years: Jaejoong, Siwon, Luhan, D.O, Tao, Doojoon, Seulong, Yubin, and Sandara Park trained for 2 years. While trainee life is difficult, Sandara Park has shared that hardships continue even with debut.

~2.5 years: The following singers trained for two and a half years: TVXQ‘s Changmin, Onew, Victoria, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Junho, Chansung, and Sohee. Trainee life can be doubly difficult for singers who come from different countries and cultures. A JYP Entertainment representative once shared, “Nichkhun adapted to life in Korea relatively quicker than other foreign trainees.”

~3 years: Three years proved to be the most common length of training for the idols on this list. So many that we had to separate them into two pages. First, we have BoA, Yunho, Heechul, Minho*, Taemin, Jonghyun, Key, CL, Fei and Jia. BoA’s mother shed light on how difficult it is to balance studying and training at a young age.

The second group of approximately three year K-Pop idol trainees includes Taeyeon, Tiffany, Xiumin, Lay, Chanyeol*, Sehun, Hyunseung, Dongwoon, Krystal, and Luna. Many idols like Taeyeon trained at a separate academy before becoming a trainee at an agency.

~4 years: Kangin, f(x)‘s Sulli, Kai, Kris, 2PM‘s Jun. K, Junhyung, and Park Bom went through four years of training. Kai’s friendship with SHINee’s Taemin during their trainee days is widely known.

~5 years: Yesung, Donghae, Sungmin, Sunny, YoonA, Kikwang, and 2NE1‘s Minzy are all K-Pop idols who have trained for five years or so. Minzy has revealed a list of rules and a letter to CL, both of which were written when she was a trainee.

~6 years: EXO‘s Suho*, Yuri, JYJ‘s Junsu, Super Junior‘s Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Taeyang*, BEAST‘s Yoseob, and Wonder Girls‘ Sunye* all trained for approximately six years. Suho has shared how difficult it was when fellow trainees debuted before him

6.5-7 years: Girl’s Generation members Hyoyeon, Seohyun*, and Sooyoung trained for a similar amount of time. Taeyeon actually revealed that she had been surprised when Seohyun joined their group when they were preparing to debut.

7.5-8 years: MissA‘s Min, 2AM‘s Jokwon, and Jessica all had lengthy years of training. Jokwon and his mother have shared about their difficult financial situation when he was a trainee.

+10 years: G.Soul was a trainee for a grand total of 15 years. Before G.Soul’s debut, BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon* was considered to have the longest period of training. He trained approximately 5 years at SM Entertainment and 6 years at YG Entertainment for a total of 11 years.

BTOB who had their Japan debut with 「WOW(JPN.)」in Nov 2014, will be releasing their original Japanese song in March 2015♬

The song is by Tada Shinya who produced hit songs of AKB48, Arashi (he did Still... ^^) etc, and it written by Ikuta Magokoro who arranged the songs of many big artistes. With the hit combination, the Japanese original single will be released in four different versions!!
