Seriously impressed with what I'm seeing. Not only are his vocals and delivery on point but he didn't give an inch on either even as he gets beaten and tossed around the stage. Major props.

Excuse still wrecks me, I've had it on repeat for quite a while. I love his lower register, and the lyrics ruin me (especially that last 'think of this as the good-for-nothing excuse of a good-for-nothing king'; that plus the way he shoves the guard's hand off to walk up by himself, the whole delivery gives me chills, I'm never going to shut up about this part). Never mind how much his acting has improved (I still feel like I shouldn't be watching the first scene), and how good everything was even while being tossed around and beaten. He has absolutely no chill and it's fantastic.

Yes, me and my musical updates... Honestly, I could do with a little less but then there's yet another musical with yet another amazing performance and I'm like I can't break the chain now!

Reminded me I should look up the lyrics for this. If I'm so convinced w/o understanding the words I can't imagine what it's for someone who knows the f is going on.

But really, I could almost be convinced it was prerecorded if you couldn't hear the sound of his palm hitting the floor when he falls.

I did them and posted them on the thread just now. I hope it's convincing enough, lol. It's just incredibly impressive, especially considering his attitude in the first song/act.

If his palm hadn't slapped the floor twice, I might've been confused about the liveness of this even though it is a musical.
