Brian Joo to comeback with "Pretty Woman" (w/Teaser)

Brian Joo will finally be making his long-awaited come back!

On August 21, Brian will release his newest digital single, “Pretty Woman” for after a year and a half of hiatus. This single will be part of “The Artist Diary Project” for the Rainbow Bridge Agency.

On August 12, Brian tweeted, “It’s a lonely night. I’m suddenly curious. Who do you think would be a good match for me?”

Then on the next day, Brian tweeted again, “The answer is in my new digital single ‘Pretty Woman,’ which will drop on August 21~”

Brian also held a surprise event where he gifted five signed “Pretty Woman” CDs for five fans who left him a mention on Twitter.

Brian was recently spotted in a recording studio in Seoul, working hard on his upcoming comeback.

8 well-known celebrities under suspicion of illegal sports gambling

Following Kim Yong Man and Shin Jung Hwan's gambling woes that shook the entertainment industry previously, it has been revealed that there are additional celebrities who are currently being suspected of illegal sports gambling.

Various media outlets reported on the 15th, "8 celebrities are currently under suspicion of illegal gambling."

A few insiders from the entertainment industry as well as from the prosecution revealed bits of info, mentioning that many of the 8 are well known names. They are said to include entertainers from all areas including singers, with some even being idols, while others are comedians, and one is even an MC of a show.

It's said the names were discovered while investigating the bank accounts of brokers who connect people with the illegal gambling sites.

An insider commented, "There are thousands of illegal gambling sites being operated and if all the celebrities who are suspected of having gambled through these sites are investigated, there is a big possibility that it may grow to include practically half of the entertainment industry."

"The prosecution is currently confirming the deposits and withdrawals of the suspected celebrities' bank accounts... Once they get an overall picture, it's expected that they'll soon start summoning them for questioning," another source added.

“Daddy Where Are We Going” Staff to Take Legal Action Against Netizens’ Hateful Comments

The staff of the popular variety show “Daddy Where Are We Going” has announced its intentions to take legal action against netizens’ hateful comments.

MBC sources commented, “The ‘Daddy Where Are We Going’ staff decided that they couldn’t just watch people create anti-cafes and make hateful comments so they decided to take legal action,” and “The staff have already finished meeting with the MBC legal department about this matter.”

They continued, “The staff thought that some of the hateful comments went too far. They will strongly take action against those netizens.”

Despite the vast popularity that the celebrity father/son duos are experiencing, they have also experienced negative responses from the public.

Children like Yoon Hoo and Kim Min Guk, sons of Yoon Min Soo and Kim Sung Joo, respectively, even had anti-cafes made by netizens. When news of "Yoon Hoo's anti cafe" reached the public, many have gathered their strength to fight against the hate by searching, "Yoon Hoo I Love You" to erase the term “Yoon Hoo anti-cafe” from Yoon Hoo’s related key search terms.

Sooyoung Appears on SBS’s ’1000 Songs Challenge’

Spoiler Alert for “Dating Agency; Cyrano”

On August 4th, Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung appeared on SBS’s “1000 Songs Challenge” along with other guests, including f(x)’s Luna, Super Junior’s Kim Ryeowook, and fellow “Midnight TV Entertainment” host, Yoon Dohyun. “1000 Songs Challenge” is a variety show where they invite numerous celebrities to sing karaoke by picking out of a pool of 1,000 songs without giving them the lyrics.

During the program, Sooyoung talked about her famous kiss with her co-star, Lee Jonghyuk, on the last episode of “Dating Agency; Cyrano”. The MC of the show asked several questions to Sooyoung regarding the kiss and mentioned, “There was some heavy skinship with Lee Jonghyuk.” Sooyoung answered, “Since he always made me feel at ease, I thought it wouldn’t be awkward at all, but it was actually really awkward afterwards. I felt strange.” She then added that she still keeps in touch with the actor. In addition, she was later able to kick off her performance with “Love” by S.E.S..

After a fierce competition between the guests, Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun emerged as the winners after having sung “Tell Me” by Jinusean, and Sooyoung surprisingly received a red Nespresso machine as a prize. She then finished off the show by singing “Password 486″ by Younha. Crayon Pop revealed they were just as surprised as the public when their hit song "Bar Bar Bar" started up the beginning of a dance craze and topped music charts in just a year since their debut.

ChoA dished on her group's surprising success, "Whenever our ranking rises, we were surprised and said to each other, 'Uh, uh, uh, what is going on?' When we entered into the top 10, we kind of felt it. It's amazing and touching at the same time as we reminisce about the things we went through in the past."

Gummi shared, "Right after I woke up, I found out that we were #1. Immediately after waking up, the kids told me, 'Unni, we placed #1 on the music chart,' and I was so happy I don't know what got into me and I screamed in joy. It was so hard to believe that you don't know how many times I had to check it."

I'm so proud/happy/over the moon the girls were nominated for #1 today, I hope they don't see the mean comments about them though. But it was kinda hilarious to see non-fans losing their shit over them being nominated. And I can't wait for fancams of MBLAQ's performance!
