Rookie hip-hop girl group D-Unit are wrapping up promotions for digital single, “Luv Me” and are preparing for year-end Christmas concerts and Japanese promotions. D-Unit expressed their gratitude for all the love and support they received for the past four months after their debut.
They commented, “We have wrapped up our 6-week promotion activities. We really thank all of the fans who love us. There are still parts that we could have done better but next year, we will return with a better image so please wait for us.”
For the past six weeks, D-Unit has been actively promoting their album in various broadcasts and concerts. They even received the Rookie of the Year award at the 20th Korean Art Entertainment Awards.
D-Unit will be performing at a joint Christmas concert, “The Bugs Show” along with BIGSTAR and EXID. They will be starting their Japanese promotions soon and will come back with a new album in Korea early next year.
It has been reported that Block B‘s Zico, who is close with the D-Unit members, had dinner with them to congratulate the wrap-up of “Luv Me” and also to discuss the concept for their next album. Several tweets from D-Unit’s official twitter hinted at a few spoilers about their third mini-album and it has been revealed that Zico will be producing it.

On December 17, Loen TV released the episode of Sung Kyu, introducing his solo album. With the power of technology, Sung Kyu performed a one-man show, where he interviewed himself about the album, taught himself how to sing with emotion, and even asked about which Infinite members were most jealous of his solo career.

A lot of goodies coming towards the fans of JYJ! In addition to the group album that Junsu hinted at earlier, it seems Jaejoong will be releasing his first solo mini album!
C-JeS Entertainment revealed the exciting news – “Next year in January, Jaejoong will be releasing a very special solo mini album. Kim Ba Da, previous vocalist of legendary rock group Sinawe, has directly participated in the album, and the album will contain various rock genre songs. You’ll be able to hear Jaejoong’s husky and rough high notes that you haven’t heard before with JYJ, as well as see his new charms.”
Having worked with Jaejoong, Kim Ba Da did not hold back his praise, commenting, “Jaejoong possesses a nature fit for a good rock vocalist. He is also very sincere about music, so because of him, I also developed much affections for this project. Jaejoong’s slightly sexy and glamorous singing style is charming. We decided to make a rock number that will be recognized no matter where we put it out… For rock music, you have to be able to pull out the stories you’ve kept buried in your heart, and Jaejoong’s composing sense is outstanding. I thought, isn’t it now time for him to be recognized as an artist rather than an idol?”

‘Model idols’ Nine Muses will be making a comeback in January of 2013.
The girls have finished recording most of the songs on their upcoming album, which is currently undergoing post-production. Nine Muses’ title track has been revealed to be produced by Sweetune, who’s worked with the group since their song “Figaro“.
The upcoming album will mark almost a year since Nine Muses promoted their song “Ticket” last March. The members are reported to have performed at events and finished individual schedules in the meantime.
What’s particularly interesting is the rumor of a member change. After a photo of an event promotion was spread online, fans noticed that some members were not present. Nine Muses is also rumored to be planning to promote as a full 9-member team once again.

Pledis Entertainment has revealed ‘version 3′ of ‘Seventeen TV‘.
The new version is shot in the upcoming seventeen-member boy group‘s (tentatively named Seventeen) practice room. Fans recently learned that the group will make their debut in January 2013. Pledis also revealed that Seventeen will promote in Korea, China, and Japan right from the get-go.
‘Seventeen TV’ is designed to introduce the group and its members to the world.

The lineup for the second season of tvN‘s ‘The Romantic & Idol‘ has been revealed!
G.NA, Jewelry‘s Yewon, SPICA‘s Jiwon, and TWO X‘ Eunyoung as well as F.T. Island‘s Jonghun, BtoB‘s Minhyuk, VIXX‘ N, and ZE:A‘s Kevin are the idols who’ll be featured in the new season of the reality series.
A representative from the show commented, “Just like the first ‘The Romantic & Idol’, there was a lot of tension and strong emotions on set. All the [idols] appeared as your average 20-somethings and showed their sincere feelings.”
However, it has yet to be decided when the second season will air.
In related news, the first season of the show, featuring 2PM‘s Jun.K, MBLAQ‘s Mir, JJ Project‘s JB, ZE:A‘s Hyungsik, 4minute‘s Jihyun, Rainbow‘s Seung Ah, AoA‘s Hyejeong, and FIESTAR‘s Jei, will be airing until December 30th.

Questions of fairness have been raised for the ‘2012 Melon Music Awards‘.
The award that raised the biggest question was the ‘Netizen Popularity Award‘. According to netizen votes, JYJ‘s Junsu ranked #1 with 185,519 votes for his ‘Nice Guy‘ OST, ”Love Is Like Snow“. However, the award went instead to B2ST with “Midnight“, who only received 147,310 votes.
Unlike the other awards in which netizen votes only count for 30% of the final result with 70% coming from music charts, netizen votes count double (60%) for the ‘Netizen Popularity Award’, so many fans are questioning the outcome. An industry representative who requested anonymity said, “It looks like it’s a similar situation to how Junsu’s group JYJ used to receive limitations by his previous label“.
The question has gotten even worse because the hosts of the awards had said, “The core of this award is fairness, popularity, and professionalism. It will be a fair award because it will be decided by the music chart rank and netizen votes.”

On December 16, Key had his first two shows for the second showing of the "Catch Me If You Can" musical. He plays the lead of Frank, a mischievous con artist, pretending to be a doctor, lawyer, and even an airline pilot in order to make millions of dollars.
Several fansites sent Key their support through flower wreaths and rice wreaths for his first day back as Frankey. While wreaths are usually sent on the opening night, it was discovered that Jonghyun sent Key a flower wreath on the 18th instead.
Jonghyun showed his support and humor through a a small message on the ribbon. The left side of the ribbon reads, "Sorry~! I'm two days late! Jonghyun" and the right reads, "You will want to go to the restroom in the middle of your show."

f(x) is presenting a surprise performance to fans as a Christmas gift.
f(x) is appearing on MNET's M Countdown which will air on the 20th. On this day f(x) is scheduled to perform the song "1,2,3," which was included on SMTOWN's winter album, and their hit song "Electric Shock."
In regards to this, a representative of M Countdown explained "We prepared f(x)'s special performance to greet Christmas," and "In particular, "Electric Shock" achieved the triple crown on M Countdown, so this is even more meaningful."
The members of f(x), who have recently been focusing on solo activities such as drama filming, are appearing on a music program after a long period of time and garnering anticipation because they are planning to show an impressive performance.
Meanwhile Nell, Lee Hi, Noh Jihoon, and more are appearing on n this day's broadcast of M Countdown in addition to f(x).
