A “banner concert” is when an artist performs inside a box, opened only on one side, and is something that hasn’t been utilized by an idol group in Korea until now!

2NE1 apologizes for using animals as props

After coming under fire for its use of a swan and a parrot during the band’s first performance for the song “I Love You,” 2NE1’s agency has apologized to the public for the insensitive gesture.

A spokesperson for YG Entertainment said that although they did have animal experts on hand on the set of SBS’ “Popular Songs” on July 8, that they were “sorry for offending some members of the public. They just wanted to create a stage spectacular like no other; from now on the band will try to be more sensitive.”

On the aforementioned show, the girl group performed its new song with CL appearing on stage with a parrot on her shoulder while a live swan was used as decoration.

After the performance, many were shocked at the group’s decision to include live animals in its act; netizens for most parts said that it was “too much.”
Some thought that it was borderline animal cruelty.

Meanwhile, editor of an environmental magazine OhBoy! denounced the band for its poor judgment.
“It’s a pity to see such a talented group making a poor decision. Animals get stressed out under the lights used at studios,” said Kim Hyun-sung.

After revealing various teaser images for members Miso, Trinity, Zinni, Dahee, and Park Jiyeon, the video teaser for GLAM‘s debut single “Party (XXO)” has been revealed!

The teaser features an astronaut in the beginning and transitions into a glimpse of the music video and the track.

GLAM will officially debut on July 16th, in the mean time check out the teaser!

Queen Victoria shares her love for chicken brains and fermented fish on "Radio Star"

f(x) leader Victoria shared her unique and shocking love for quirky and exotic foods.

On the July 11th episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, Victoria began, “I like Korean dwenjang (soybean paste) soup as well as CheongGukJang (often nicknamed ‘dead body soup’ for it’s odor’).”

“I even eat pig intestines and hongeo (fermented skate),” she said, shocking the MCs.

2PM‘s Nichkhun who was another guest on the show, however, had a bit of a weaker stomach. “I can’t eat things like CheongGukJang and pig intestines,” he said.

Robert Holley, a Westerner who well-adapted himself to Korean culture long ago was able to relate with Victoria. “Fermented Skate is delicious when wrapped,” he said. “The smell isn’t great, but it cures your cold right away.”

Victoria was then asked if she also eats chicken feet, and she gave yet another shocking response. “I actually love chicken brains,” she said. “There’s not much quantity, but it tastes like delectable tofu. I also like fish eyes and cow tongue.”
