2PM’s Nichkhun reveals how he was recruited into JYPE
On the July 11th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star – My Second Hometown‘ special, Nichkhun was asked what brought him to Korea.
To this, Nichkhun explained, “I first came to Korea in 2006. While attending school in Los Angeles, I met a cast manager when I was at a concert. At that time, I wasn’t planning on accepting the offer because I didn’t have confidence in dancing nor singing. However, that cast manager constantly persuaded me in joining, which has led me to where I’m at today.”
“At that same time, I was also given a cast offer from CJ Entertainment,” he said. MC Yoon Jong Shin then praised the JYPE cast manager by commenting, “We should give that JYPE cast manager an award.”

2PM’s Nichkhun admits he pretended not to understand Korean at times
On the international stars special of ‘Radio Star‘, 2PM‘s Nichkhun admitted that he sometimes pretended as if he did not understand Korean in the past, leaving the guests laughing at his sly yet honest confession.
On the July 11th broadcast, 2PM’s Nichkhun was asked, “Rumor has it that you speak Korean well enough to even use profanity, but other times you pretend you don’t understand at all. Is this true?”
“This is true,” Nichkhun answered and further explained that this was something he had done in the past. “Sometimes when I didn’t want to do something, I listened for a while and gave them a blank look and pretended I didn’t understand. But now I can’t get away with doing that anymore, I’ve used it way too many times,” he added, evoking laughter on set.
The MCs then asked him if the 2PM members use profanity often, and contrary to the MCs hopes of further digging out the unknown habits of the 2PM members, Nichkhun remarked, “Of course…not.”

Nichkhun reveals he splits his personal profits with the rest of his 2PM members
On the July 11th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, guest Nichkhun surprised the MCs by saying, “Even if I work by myself, I split the profits with my members.”
“This is something we promised one another when we first debuted,” he explained. “If we don’t [split the profits], I feel like that would jeopardize our teamwork.”
Hearing this, MC Kyuhyun joked, “Chansung must like that,” and Nichkhun evoked laughs by responding, “He does.”
