Girl group Rainbow’s leader Kim Jae-kyung won a defamation case against an online marketing company and a cosmetic surgery clinic which took photos of the singer to use in a “before and after” advertisement.The Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of DSP Media, representing Kim, to say that the defendants owed Kim compensation for unlawfully using pictures of the star to use in their advertisement. Two pictures from Kim’s high school days and 25 pictures of the star after her debut in 2009 were highlighted for comparison in the ads back in 2010.
“The defendants used pictures of Kim without her permission and also damaged her reputation as an entertainer, and so, the court rules in favor of DSP Media,” a judge from the court said on July 2.
The court added that the advertisers had a duty to seek permission from the singer before they decided to use the pictures in an ad.
The defendants – two proprietors of the marketing agency and the owner of the surgery clinic – will have to pay 20 million won ($17,494) in damages.

This is the 3rd part to the reconstruction. We know that there have been fans waiting for it. We would like to address the fans who asked why it was taking so long for the third part to come out. This is push and pull. Now, there is also push and pull needed when writing from the viewpoint of a report.

Midas of comedy, director Jang Gyoo-seong is returning for the first time in 5 years with a ocomedy called, "I Am a King".
Having presented laughter to everyone with all of his works so far, Jang is coming back for the first time with actor Joo Ji-hoon in "I Am a King".
Director Jang was recognized for his creative and humorous characters in "My Teacher, Mr.Kim", "Lovely Rivals", "Small Town Rivals" and others. He blended creative ideas from everyday life and showed talent in unraveling laughter and sincerity in these stories.
This time, he's created a movie about King Sejong and how he left that palace in fear of becoming king in the movie "I Am a King".
Jang evenly distributes historical evidence and fiction for anybody and everybody to enjoy together and this time he has transformed respected great men in history as friendly characters.
He also cast a bunch of talented actors and actresses for this movie. He dragged out the comedy in Joo Ji-hoon while claiming, "It is even more fun when an actor who hasn't done comedy before, does comedy".
Other casts include, Baek Yoon-sik, Byeon Hee-bong, Park Yeong-gyoo, Im Won-hee, Lee Honey and Kim Soo-ro.
Meanwhile, "I Am a King" will be released in August.

But Korean pop songs, movies and soap operas, collectively known as K-Pop, seem to be crossing the divide.

News broke out about new regulations set by the Korea Media Rating Board (Hereafter, KMRB) that has the potential to shake up the K-Pop world.
Basically, in the past if a music video was too explicit or racy and did not get any airtime on a broadcast channel, the music video could still be put up on YouTube and be used for marketing and promotional purposes.
However, beginning on August 18 all of that is about to change.
In the past, if a music video was posted online without receiving any kind of money, it was excluded from being reviewed by the KMRB. However, from August 18 the music video must receive an “OK” from the KMRB in order to be posted online.
The clip will now require to be labeled with “For the general public,” “For people over 12 and 15 years old,” “Not Suitable for Teenagers,” and “Restricted Viewing.” (Videos that were already reviewed by a broadcasting company will not be under this new regulation.)
Currently, there are no specific guidelines as to what websites will be covered by this new regulation. (Will it include teasers, YouTube clips, Google Video, and etc.)
It looks as though entertainment agencies will have a headache with regards to marketing and promotions. Although it might not be as problematic for non-Korean websites but the problem with most Korean websites is the fact that to watch material that is meant for adults aged 19 and over, you are required to type in your registration number. (In South Korea, everyone has a registration number and this is required to sign up for websites and also access certain material.)

It’s been revealed that the members of T-ara cried tears of joy upon hearing news that their newest comeback track, “Day by Day“, had conquered the digital charts!
On July 3rd, Core Contents Media revealed that “Day by Day” had ranked first on digital music sites such as Melon, Bugs, Soribada, and Cyworld Music, etc. immediately following its release. After the members were told of the great news, the girls were said to have gotten together in a group hug and cried tears of joy while practicing in their rehearsal room.
The song was originally scheduled for a digital release at midnight but was delayed to noon the same day.
The members stated, “We were worried because we thought the song would lose attention if we released it too late. We also stepped away from what you’d normally expect from a music video and produced it as a science-fantasy movie, so there was also some worry there. Fortunately, both the song and the music video have been receiving a lot of love. We promise to become a T-ara that pays back your love and support by working hard.”
T-ara will be making their comeback through MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core‘ on July 7th.

The teaser photo is definitely enough to raise anticipation for their new digital single, especially since J.Y. Park had previously teased fans with snippets of information on his Twitter back in March. On “Like Money”, he had written, “There’s a huge surprise on their 1st single so get ready for this summer!”
Representatives of JYP Entertainment revealed to allkpop, “Their upcoming release, ‘Like Money’, is the work of songwriter Cri$tyle, who has previously worked with artists like Rihanna, and JYP Entertainment producer Woo S. Rhee ‘RAINSTONE‘. There will be a special artist also collaborating with the girls on the song, and although the identity hasn’t been revealed yet, rest assured that they’re world famous in that they’ve already amassed over 40 million likes on Facebook.”
They continued, “Anticipation amongst fans both domestic and international is also on the rise with news of the participation of Jonte Moaning, also known as Beyonce‘s choreographer as well as the man behind ‘Be My Baby‘ and ‘The DJ is Mine, alongside the director of the girls’ American TV movie, ‘The Wonder Girls‘.”

Actress Bang Eun Hee, who appeared especially pleased to see the boy group, suggested that the ‘Strong Heart’ cast grant U-KISS their wish by playing out an imaginary scenario of winning first place on a music program. Going along with the actress’ idea, Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Boom pretended to be hosts of a music program, announcing that U-KISS had scored the most points and was thus the victor of the night. The U-KISS members were expected to then deliver an acceptance speech, yet while some members stuttered, U-KISS member Kevin began to cry.
Kevin’s sudden tears set off the waterworks of others as well. While Bang Eun Hee, who seemed to be particularly close to the boys, welled up and went to the U-KISS member for a comforting embrace, entertainer Park Kyung Lim was seen dabbing her eyes with a piece of tissue. U-KISS’ maknae Dongho was evidently struggling to hold back and hide his own tears, as he bowed his head and wiped them away.
After finally bearing the onset of tears, Kevin spoke up, “If we were really to win first place I think we’d react the same way and cry a lot.” He continued, “To our CEO and Eun Hee noona, we have much to be thankful for. We love you.”
Back in September 2010, U-KISS’s CEO and Bang Eun Hee had spoken about U-KISS’s hardships, saying, “U-KISS are working hard, going on without food or sleep and spilling bitter tears. But the fact that they haven’t even gotten first place even once is disappointing [for them].”

2NE1‘s Dara recently displayed love for her fans by footing the bill for their fanclub meet-up!
On July 1st, the members of her fanclub ‘Oh! My Goddess‘ held a meet-up at a restaurant specializing in steamed chicken since it’s one of Dara’s favorite foods. Before the meet-up, they had informed Dara of the event.
Unexpectedly, the message had actually gotten through to Dara, and so she promptly called up the restaurant to pay for the entire costs of her fans’ bill before they left.
Her fans were definitely surprised and touched with the kind gesture. One fan shared a proof shot of the meal they had shared and wrote, “Dara’s kind heart. It was a thankful and happy time thanks to Dara, who is always thinking of her fans.”

4minute's Kwon Sohyun recently a photo of her and the members of Sistar public.
