Fans accuse KBS "Entertainment Relay" of foul play with Big Bang

BIGBANG recently appeared on KBS 2TV “Entertainment Relay,” and the title for their segment was “BIGBANG’s comeback, is it a return that is already forgiven?” BIGBANG fans were suspicious whether KBS was deliberately trying to downplay BIGBANG’s comeback. “Entertainment Relay” pointed out whether it was too early for BIGBANG to comeback.

The fans argue that the “inappropriate” title and direction of the segment was due to KBS and YG Entertainment’s rocky relationship. In 2010, KBS and YGE had issues of how long BIGBANG would be appearing on the show. Afterwards, YG Entertainment celebrities would not appear on KBS award shows. YGE associated acts were also not present for “Music Bank in Paris.”

However, a representative of “Entertainment Relay” stated, “This show did not try to deliberately attack YG Entertainment. SM Entertainment and/or JYP Entertainment are not exceptions. We were talking about celebrities as a whole. We only brought it up because BIGBANG is coming back. We did not make the broadcast to attack somebody.”

Big Bang to appear on Infinity Challenge again?

BIGBANG was "healed" on Healing Camp, will be "running" in Running Man and now will come out on Infinity Challenge once again.

Infinity Challenge has been off air for 4 weeks now and after actress Lee Na Young's episode, it has been reported that the staff members are busy preparing for a BIGBANG special. According to broadcast industry insiders, they heard on the 27th that Big Bang had plans to appear on Infinity Challenge's March 4 episode.

Fans who have liked Shinhwa since 1998 must be feeling that these are very different times. During the long period of 14 years, fan culture has changed as much as the world itself.

It seems like just yesterday when high speed internet was not yet readily available, and we had to connect to the fanclubs on PC communication networks via phone line dial-up without our parents knowing, and then having to worry more about the phone bill than our results. Now it only takes one click to see all the updates and photos of the members, and also interact with other fans.

Se7en and Lee Hong Ki Console IU for Her Mistake

IU should stop feeling bad about her mistake on SBS’ “Inkigayo” now that both her seniors Se7en and Lee Hong Ki of FT Island have sent her support messages.

As earlier reported, IU had mistakenly said, “Congratulations, Se7en” instead of awarding the “Inkigayo” Mutizen to FT Island on the February 26 show. The young singer had already written an apology right after on her me2day account.

In response, FT Island's lead singer had readily defended IU on his Twitter account (@skullhong), saying “Don’t give IU a hard time for her mistake. I have also made many mistakes.” On the other hand, Se7en wrote on his me2day account, “Ladies and gentlemen, IU, we are both cute guys, me and FT Island. Everything’s all right. Everyone, have a good night.”

IU is currently hosting “Inkigayo” with Kara’s Nicole and Goo Hara.

Hong Seok Cheon educates the masses and talks about AIDS scare

Hong Seok Cheon recently appeared on the February 25 broadcast of tvN′s Star Special Lecture Show, where he spoke about his life and the subject ‘Stories About Sexuality that Men and Women Can Sympathize With.’

Hong started with an explanation of the four types of homosexuality using the acronym LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual).

He went on to explain that a lesbian is a female homosexual interested in other females, a gay man is a male homosexual who is interested in other males and a bisexual is someone who is interested in both males and females. Lastly, he explained that a transsexual is classified as someone whose physical gender is not the same as his or her psychological gender, pointing to Harisu as an example of a transsexual.

Hong recalled, "Once in a while, taxi drivers would ask me why I didn’t get a sex change operation and I would tell them that I was a man interested in other men” (pointing out the difference between being gay and a transsexual).

He added, "In Korea, the term ′homo′ carries a negative connotation, so I prefer to be called gay.”

Hong also talked about his close call with AIDS. He revealed that he took a full medical exam (which included an AIDS test) on December 31 per the recommendation of his doctor.

"I was told three red lines would appear for a positive test, and I was extremely shocked when I had three pink lines on mine," he said.

Hong continued, “I decided to take a more thorough examination and the four days it took to get the result seemed like 40 years to me."

However, his story fortunately ended on a positive note, when he concluded, "When I finally received word that I didn’t have AIDS, I wanted to fall in love."
