Block B releases a video apology

ayamefan13.livejournal.comAs you all know, Block B has been swept up in controversy over their behavior during an interview in Thailand. Their carefree behavior in front of cameras has been criticized as disrespectful and insensitive towards the people of Thailand. Both the Korean and Thail media have been reporting up a storm about this issue, and as such, the boys found themselves in the headlines, and the subject of fury amongst netizens all over the world.
Although it seems clear that the boys never intended to offend anyone, it seems their actions are seen as unforgivable by many. Petitions have been going around insisting on Block B’s retirement and blocking their appearances from broadcasts, and have gained 10,000 signatures so far.
However, there are also plenty who sympathize with the boys and have been speaking out against these petitions, especially after seeing how truly sorry the boys were and realizing that they had never intended any harm – since part of Block B’s charm lies in their carefreeness.
The boys have already written apologies, bowed 90 degrees on their latest music show appearance, and Zico shaved his head in remorse.
In addition, they have released another apology today, this time in the form of a video on their YouTube page with subtitles in Korean, Thai, and English. The boys’ remorse and pain are visible on their faces as they apologize once again to the people of Thailand, and bow to show their sincerity.

Tiger JK and Brian Joo are planning to hold a joint stage together! Tiger JK was the lyricist and was also featured in Brian’s new single “Let This Die.” Although the collaboration was big news, the two have yet to perform together. Fans began to request a joint performance together. Despite Tiger JK’s busy schedule, the hip-hop star showed loyalty to Brian and fans by joining Brian on stage.

On February 21, the three JYJ members snapped a photo together at their recording studio. The photo was uploaded on JYJ’s official Facebook with the caption, “JYJ is now preparing South America Tour! Who is waiting for the concert?:) Let’s go Chile! Let’s go Peru! YAY!”
In the photo, Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun are seen taking a break from their recording. Yoochun is dressed down with a hoodie and a baseball cap on, but Jaejoong seems he just came back from a promotional event with the makeup and fancy outfit on.

There is increasing interest in the entertainment industry to see if Song Jihyo, who is currently dating the CEO of her management company, will be starring in a movie with label-mate JYJ's Kim Junsu.
On 23 February, according to the movie industry, Song Jihyo has been recently confirmed to star in the move "Jackal Comes" and they are in the midst of arranging her schedule. It has been 4 years since Song Jihyo starred as a lead in a movie, the last being "Frozen Flower" in 2008.
"Jackal Comes" is a new movie by director Pe Hyun Joon who directed "Don't believe your girlfriend" and "Boys don't cry". The movie depicts the commotion that occurs when the police is dispatched after a mentally unstable female killer kidnaps a popular singer and attempts to murder him.
JYJ member Junsu is up for strong consideration to play the role that Song Jihyo kidnaps. Although Junsu has never acted in a movie, he is packing in acting experience through musicals like "Mozart!" and "Elisabeth". He also matches the movie role of being a popular singer.
However, Junsu's lack of experience in movies might be a point that hampers his participation. Production companies and sponsors are worried over Junsu's lack of experience in acting on the big screen. With regards to this, the management company for the both of them had few words to say, "Although (Junsu's appearance is) under consideration, nothing has been decided yet."
Casting for "Jackal Comes" is expected to be completed soon and filming will begin from end of March at the earliest.

Lee Seung Gi’s last ep of Strong Heart to be ‘YG special’
SBS Strong Heart is preparing for a YG special.
On the 22nd, a related person from SBS said, “On the 15th March, at Strong Heart, ‘YG special’ where all the singers from YG entertainment will appear will be filmed. The production team are having meetings about various concepts such as Psy being the MC.”
15th March is the date of the last recording of the current MC of Strong Heart, Lee Seung Gi. Lee Seung Gi is leaving the show in order to concentrate on his acting and singing activities.
SBS has been generous to YG artists. In 2010, when 2ne1 made a comeback on Inkigayo, for the first time ever, they performed 3 songs. In addition, in February 2011 when Big Bang made a comeback, a program called ‘Big Bang show’ was made. Yang Hyun Suk is also active on SBS Kpop Star at the moment.

ZE:A’s Im Si Wan from was a guest on the February 22 episode of MBC’s Radio Star, where he commented on questions over his sexuality.
MC Kyuhyun raised the topic by mentioning to Im, “If you search ‘Im Si Wan’ online, the search term ‘Im Si Wan Gay’ comes out as a related search phrase,” to which Im replied, “I’ve seen it too. However I don’t think it’s a topic worth addressing. I don’t pay attention to it.”

Two days ago, Big Bang kicked off their long awaited comeback by unleashing their music video for “Blue“, their first single from their 5th mini-album, ‘Alive‘.
In just 24 hours, the MV drew over 1.5 million views on YouTube, and the numbers are still going strong. On YouTube’s dedicated charts page, the video has now placed 1st in the categories of “Most Viewed”, “Most Favorited”, “Most Discussed”, and “Most Liked”. Additionally, in just over 48 hours the video has surpassed 3 million views!

Rainbow‘s Go Woori received a heart-warming birthday gift from her fans.
In celebration of her birthday, Woori’s fans from all over the world donated the money they have been collecting to the Korean branch of ‘Make-A-Wish Foundation‘, a philanthropic organization that aims to assist children with incurable diseases.
Rainbow’s agency DSP Media stated, “The girls’ fan site ‘Visual Glow‘ is well aware that Woori is active in helping the neglected class of people, and the fans decided to donate the funds to the foundation.”
Last year, Woori guest-featured on an episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘ where she opened up about her aunt who is suffering from Down’s Syndrome and remarked that she wants to live helping other people. Even before her appearance on ‘Strong Heart’, Woori has long been volunteering with charities related to children. Rainbow’s fans in Korea even recently participated in a volunteer event in celebration of the girls’ 2-year anniversary last year.
In related news, Woori shows a more approachable side of herself on KBS2 ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, and she with the rest of the Rainbow members will be releasing their third single in Japan next month.

Producer Park Sanghyuk said, "While the date of the last recording has been set, it is subject to change because of his drama schedule. I'm very grateful to Lee Seunggi, who is putting in his best right to the end so we can have a successful conclusion."
"We are going to look for someone to take over. There are lots of candidates, so we will work hard to pick the right person for the job."

The resemblance between B1A4's Baro and Bae Noori from ‘The Moon That Embraces The Sun’ is garnering attention.
The coupled photo of B1A4’s Baro and “The Moon That Embraces The Sun” actress Bae Noori is posted on many online portal sites and community boards which attracted netizens.
In the posted photo, the two have the same big eyes without eyelids, round noses, small lips and a lot more similar points.

K-Pop bands FT Island and CNBLUE will soon be rocking Los Angeles!
CJ E&M's global concert firm M Live, who has brought several K-Pop artists in Middle East and United States, will be bringing FNC Music artists FT Island and CNBLUE to Los Angeles. The two bands will be holding a joint concert titled "Stand Up" at the Nokia Theater in LA on March 9th at 8PM.
Prior to the event, FT Island and CNBLUE released promotional videos. The videos feature greetings from the groups, and details from the upcoming LA invasion.
Tickets for the concert are available for purchase starting January 28th through Ticketmaster and Powerhouse Live.
