The MO.A 2011 in Kuala Lumpur was simply amazing! Even the weather favoured the event and took a turn for the better after showing signs of rain just before it started.

Regardless, fans were ready to brave the storm for their idols. They came equipped with ponchos, umbrellas and even mini-stools (rock pit area)! It was obvious from the start that it would be an exciting night!

Code-V signs with Japan’s Dreamusic to release first Japanese single!

5-member vocal group Code-V will be releasing their first single in Japan.

The group’s agency, PQM, revealed that the members have signed with Japan’s Dreamusic and will be releasing their Japanese single on December 7th.

The single will contain the Japanese versions of their Korean debut track, “Addiction”, as well as “Miracle”.

PQM stated, “Code-V –who came in 1st place in a survey that asked Japanese residents, ‘Which K-Pop singer would you like to see debut in Japan?’ — will succeed with the songs that have Code-V’s distinct style.”

Code-V will be holding an event commemorating the release of their debut single on December 26th at Tokyo’s Tower Records. After holding several performances, the boys plan to release their 1st official Japanese album next Spring.

This group debuted in Korea in June 2010 with “Addiction”, and have since been receiving many love calls from Japan. Despite facing numerous complications with their schedules in Japan last year due to the Tohoku earthquake, the boys were determined in carrying out their duties to the best of their ability – earning much praise from Japanese fans.

After a fruitful year of promoting in Japan, girl group KARA will be performing at five different Japanese music festivals.

Including ‘Best Hit Song Festival‘ that took place on the 24th of last month, KARA will have attended five musical festivals by the end of the year.

The girls will be attending Fuji TV‘s ‘FNS Song Festival‘ that is scheduled to take place on December 7th for four hours starting at 7PM. This particular event is not an award ceremony but rather a celebration amongst the artists and the outstanding performances are especially impressive.

Furthermore, the girls will also be performing at Asahi TV‘s ‘Music Station Super Live 2011‘ on December 23rd. This format of this event will be exactly like weekly program ‘Music Station’ but it will have a more concert feel, where the stars as well as the fans can both enjoy themselves.

And on the 30th, KARA will be attending an important award ceremony. KARA’s “Go Go Summer” has been nominated for ‘Best Project Award’ at the 53rd annual Japanese Record Awards and the girls will be going up against nine other teams including TVXQ as well as AKB48.

On December 31st, the girls will be rounding out the year at the 62nd annual NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, competing against Japan’s most elite artists. It was the girls’ dream to compete in the Red & White Singing Battle since they first made their Japanese debut, and their fans already have high expectations for their performance at the event.

YG Entertainment's head, Yang Hyun-chul is expecting his second child.

According to Yang's reps on December 5th, the entertainment giant is due to have his second child be born in about five months with his wife Lee Eun-joo. The two are reportedly ecstatic about the pregnancy.

Their first daughter, Eugene, was born last year on August 5th.

An online posting of a sex tape featuring a well-known female celebrity has prompted the female star to file a lawsuit against the distributor.

On Dec. 4, a Web blog containing the entertainer’s name made its debut online featuring a sex video that ran for 2 minutes, 52 seconds. In the video, the female celebrity can be seen engaging in sexual activities with a man identified as her former boyfriend. The site’s owner said that as the two parted ways, the ex-boyfriend was threatened, beaten and forced by thugs hired by his former girlfriend to sign agreements to not reveal information about the star. The reason for uploading the video, according to the site, was because the ex-boyfriend wanted to reveal the duplicity of the female entertainer.

In addition to the sex tape the blog posted scanned uploads of the star’s passport, nude photos and a medical certificate verifying an abortion, among other documents.

On Dec. 5, the star took legal actions by hiring a lawyer to sue her ex-boyfriend for the damages to her reputation. A representative from Sungdong District Police told Ilgan Sports, “An anonymous female celebrity has filed a suit for a libel case. We will start the investigation once we receive a statement from the celebrity with the damages she’s suffered.” The items on the blog were removed on Dec. 6.

On December 6, the ex-Seo Taiji & Boys member Lee Juno pulled a shocker by proposing to his 23 years younger fiancé during the first recording of SBS “Comeback Show Top 10.” The legendary dancer revealed for the first time that he’s been dating his fiancé Park Mi Ri, who’s nine-month pregnant, for a little over a year now and will get married early next year.

He said, “I finished marriage registration with a woman 23 years younger than me. We already took wedding photos and are planning to hold our wedding soon. She’s pregnant now and is expecting next month.”

“We already moved in together. On paper we’re already married, but we haven’t done the actual wedding ceremony. It’s been over a year since we dated,” he continued.

Lee Juno got emotional as he explained what took him so long to come out in public with his marriage. “The reason I couldn’t make this announcement in public was because I was afraid she might get hurt from it. We have a large age gap.”

first of all IM SO SORRY IF THE TRANSLATION SOUNDS HORRIBLE AND WRONG but a) im not good at translating from german to english (i also left out some sentences) and b) i translated it in a hurry.
i freaked out when i saw this on twitter and thought "oh god not another fail article about k-pop from germany" (anyone remembers the article from popcorn, the german magazine?) but im surprised, the article is actually really good and it seems that the writer has some knowledge about kpop. anyways im so gonna watch taff at thursday, i can also try to record it and put it on youtube. however i wonder how this will turn out.. like i said before germany is not really into girl- and boybands so i dont know if this is the start of the hallyu wave in germany or not. but anyways, i just wanted to share this with you guys. if you find some grammar mistakes please feel free to correct me ^_^

It’s been announced that T-ara‘s new leader will be Soyeon, who will carrythe torch after Hyomin.

Soyeon will be acting as leader of the group through promotions for their new repackaged album single “Lovey-Dovey.” Core Contents Media stated, “Soyeon is the team’s main vocal as well as the oldest member (THIS IS A LIE BTW IT'S BORAM WHO IS THE OLDEST -op) so she’s the type with a sense of responsibility. This is why she is now leader following Eunjung, Boram, and Hyomin.”

The leader of T-ara acts as the intermediary between the group and producers as well as stylists for six to eight months. She is also responsible for working on the new album concept.

Soyeon is reported to be showing an entirely different concept from “Cry Cry” when promoting “Lovey-Dovey.” She’ll become official leader on January 1st, 2012.
