Rainbow’s maknae Hyunyoung has caught the attention of netizens for her dramatic weight loss.
Fans already knew that she was a bit chubby during her trainee years and that she went through intense dieting before her debut. Since then, she’s been going through the yo-yo effect that naturally comes with dieting. For Rainbow’s “To Me” comeback, however, Hyunyoung revealed that she buckled down with determination to lose it all once and for all.

Along with the recent news about a comeback by The Boss as well as ZE:A and lots of other groups, it was revealed that Teen Top will be joining them with the release of a new album.
TOPMedia just recently revealed the news through their twitter account, asking for fans to support and anticipate the boys and their return. The company is also telling people who'd want to keep in touch with news surrounding the boy group should check out the group's official site.
Whether it's going to be another single, a mini or a full length hasn't revealed yet.

Pledis Entertainment's first boy group will be debuting near the end of the year. "After School Boys" was originally thought to have around 10 members, but in contrast to what was previously said, the group will start with a basic 5 to 6 members, 4 of which are already in training. The additional 2 will be chosen through auditions.
Two of the group's members were already revealed through a TV show earlier this month. Pledis asks people to anticipate their new group, and say that the boy group will be a group with a completely different image than other groups.
"After School Boys" are one of the many debuts people are looking out for. Will you be anticipating their debut as well?

SM Entertainment and Avex Taiwan have been working together for half year on the project of opening an SME exclusive store in Taipei, and the day is finally coming as Avex Taiwan announced today that the store will be opened in July.
SME artists including SNSD, Super Junior, DBSK are probably the most popular K-Pop stars in Taiwan at the moment; the explosive popularity is amazing.
As fans are sad about Super Junior’s Siwon and Donghae’s leaving after finishing filming for the Taiwanese drama “Extravagant Challenge,” this great news revealed by SME and Avex Taiwan made fans all light up again. This shop would be the first SME exclusive store outside of Korea; all SME artists’ official products will be available here, and the location is at the heart of Taipei city which would be easy to access. According to the press release, some special events are under preparation for the grand opening as well.
In addition to the opening of the exclusive store, the anticipated “Super Show3 3D” film will hit theaters in Taiwan on August 26th. SME is surely dominating Taiwan, at least this summer!

In honor of Jung Yong Hwa and Seo Hyun, the fan club donated books and school supplies to the Rajvithi Home for Girls. The Bangkok based Rajvithi Home for Girls was first established as an orphanage in 1890. Since then the Rajvithi cares for underprivileged girls from broken and/or poverty-stricken homes.
These girls are either orphaned or have no legal guardian and have little access to formal education, basic medical care, or social activities. The YongSeo Thailand donated these supplies to show their spirit and support for the goguma couple (aka sweet potato couple) from their Thai fans.
Jung Yong Hwa and Seo Hyun received much love as a make-believe married couple in the hit series “We Got Married.” Despite “splitting” back in April, the two have been gaining more and more fans internationally.
Meanwhile, Jung Yong Hwa is busy filming his new youth melodrama "Heartstrings," which premieres tonight on MBC. Seo Hyun is also busy performing with fellow Girls' Generations members in Japan for the first ever Japanese arena tour.

Birdie Buddy may not air afterall

Cable channel tvN previously announced that they had picked up After School’s UEE’s golf drama, ‘Birdie Buddy‘. Unfortunately, they may not be airing it after all.
On June 28th, the productions staff for the drama said, “We are discussing over everything optimistically but it has not been confirmed 100%. We are open to all possibilities at the moment.”
Until now, the makers scheduled for an August release date on tvN. The contract covered many details, which is why it was true that the whole deal had been thoroughly and positively planned. Unfortunately, they have reached some difficulties with the final signings because of the way cable scheduling works.
The production staff said, “When we were contracting with UEE, we promised a major network. We need to figure it out with UEE’s company. This is not a big problem so we think it won’t cause a huge damage on the final contract.”
The drama already has faced a lot of hardship, so this is definitely another hurdle to jump over.

Famous Arranger and Composer, Don Spike thinks Taeyeon is the most desirable idol.
Meeting with reporters at CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong on June 29th, Don Spike said, “Taeyeon can really sing well. Although I’ve never seen her singing live before, I thought she has an outstanding vocal after listening to her recorded song”. Don Spike was the arranger for Kim BumSoo-Taeyeon’s duet ‘Different’.
Don Spike revealed, “During recording, you can hear a singer’s actual voice clearly. Without other effects or mixing works done, I was hugely impressed by Taeyeon’s singing. Her techniques, feel of the song and everything are excellent”.
He added, “As an arranger, if you listen to the vocals, i get my own feelings about them. Listening to singers’ vocals everyday, there are always concerns on how to ‘dress them up’.However, Taeyeon’s voice seems to ‘fit any clothes’”.

Mnet Japan To Air "Miss Ripley"

MBC's current Monday-Tuesday drama, "Miss Ripley", is set to premiere in Japan on August 13th through Mnet. Prior to the drama's premiere, a "highlights guide" will also be broadcast on July 30th, Saturday.
Several scenes from the drama were shot in Japan and the drama's early story line also included several notable Japanese influences - including JYJ's Yoochun speaking fluent Japanese. The drama boasts of a star-studded cast - Lee Dahae, Kang Hyejung, Kang Seungwoo, and JYJ's Yoochun - as well as production by Han Hee, who has worked on several MBC dramas such as "Mischievous Kiss" and "Personal Taste".
"Yuchun’s New Drama “Miss Ripley” Highlights Guide" will air on July 30th from 11:00 PM to 12 midnight, with repeats on August 2nd from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM and August 3rd from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. "Miss Ripley" will air via Mnet Japan on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:45 PM to 10:00 PM, with repeat broadcasts on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:30 PM to 11:45 PM and Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 12 noon.

Actor Jang Geun Suk gave his thoughts on his popularity in Japan.
Jang Geun Suk held an official press conference on June 28th in Yokohama to commemorate his first photograph collection titled, “The Romance Jplus Photograph Collection.”
When Jang Geun Suk was asked about his popularity in Japan he said, “Honestly it’s scary. The reason is because I received so much love from the fans in such a short amount of time.” “When I arrived in Japan yesterday a lot of people came,” “I was worried that an accident might occur.”
On the day of the official press conference he also said some words about his Arena Tour.
Jang Geun Suk said, “This is a pretty big tour so I have been preparing since May,” “I am preparing a performance that will be even more complete, and I hope that those of you come to visit will enjoy.”

Sony Music has just announced that they’ll be debuting their own six-member male idol group, ‘HITT‘, next month!
HITT is an acronym for ‘Here Is the Top’ and is comprised of members Hayong, Juntaek, Hyunjun, Howon, Wooram, and Jaehoon. As they’re under one of the biggest record labels in the world, they have some of the best help and support at their disposal.
Andy Johns, the vice president of Sony Music’s Asian marketing, held a meeting with HITT this month and monitored their music. He promised, “I’ll be helping them advance not only in the Korean market, but the Asian market as well. We’ll be helping them actively in the marketing department.”
Their profile photos were released for the first time today, and each of them are seen being clawed at by the hands of women. They’ll be releasing their music video teaser for their self-titled debut album on July 4th.

Star Empire labelmates ZE:A’s Kwanghee and Jewelry’s Yewon have been selected as the newest DJs for SBS’s radio program, ‘Young Street‘!
On June 29th, producers confirmed the two to take the place of Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, who recently announced his departure from the program.
PD Heo Geum Ok had previously said,
“Starting from June 27th, we’ll be continuing the program by having a different special DJ every day for five days until we make a final decision on the DJs to take Heechul’s place.”
Kwanghee and Yewon will be beginning their roles as DJs on July 2nd.
