Tiger JK and Tasha (T) on “I Am A Singer”?

Shin Jung Soo PD of MBC TV ‘I Am A Singer’, revealed that he is looking to bring on hip-hop artists onto the show to broaden the scope of music on his program.

During a press conference on June 15th, Shin Jung Soo PD stated, “I want to deal with the genre of hip-hop on ‘I Am A Singer’. But I’m worried about losing fairness to the competition if a rapper was to be brought onto stage, because the standard is not specific for now”.

When Lee Sora performed “Fists of Tears”, people questioned the fairness of the competition because the song was split into two parts, where Lee Sora sang the vocals and Soul Dive took the rapping.

Shin PD spoke, “there are a number of amazing hip-hop artists such as Leessang, Dynamic Duo, and Tiger JK. My hope is that they could come on stage and share the genre of hip-hop”.

He praised Tasha (T), adding that, “Yoon Mirae [also known as T or Tasha] is an artist that has perfected both vocals and rapping. Yoon Mirae is one of the best in all of Asia”, and continued “her presence on the show has been requested”.

Regarding a question about the standard of selection for the program, Shin PD explained that, “Much consideration goes to the genre of the artist. All 7 musicians cannot be based on rock or jazz, so some musicians are held back due to that issue”.

Kim Dongwan, "Minwoo and Eric will be co-CEOs of Shinhwa Company"

Shinhwa member Kim Dongwan has announced Shinhwa’s impending comeback with the setting up of Shinhwa Company.

On the 15th June episode of MBC's Radio Star, Kim Dongwan said, "Shinhwa Company will probably be set up in another 2 months' time. All things related to Shinhwa will be managed by this company."

He added, "The official announcement is in the pipeline." About Lee Minwoo and Eric taking the helm, Kim Dongwan said, "(All the members) have put in equal amounts of investment, but they will be stepping up to take up responsibility (for the company)."

When fellow guest Lee Hyunwoo brought up the topic of his nude portrait, the MCs said, "If we’re talking about nude, we have to mention Shinhwa." The MCs went on to ask Kim Dongwan about the "first ever idol nude photobook".

Kim Dongwan went on to re-enact some of the poses he did in the photobook. When Kim Gura asked, "There’s someone who lay down", to which Kim Dongwan replied, "That was me. There were shots where I lifted banana leaves, where I was hanging from a tree and where I was lying down." He re-emulated those poses much to the amusement of everyone on the set.

When asked about the sales of the photobook, he said, "It was a limited edition so it was sold out."

8eight's new teaser featuring CUBE recruit No Jihoon + new song

As 8eight prepares for their comeback next week, member Baek Chan decided to tease fans yesterday by releasing his self-composed song titled, “You are Amazing,” from 8eight’s upcoming album via digital download. Now, 8eight has released the MV teaser for their track, “Covering those Lips.”

The teaser has a very powerful scene showing Noh Ji Hoon (MBC’s Birth of a Great Star contestant) holding a gun. 8eight will be releasing their second mini-album, “8eight“, on June 21st, which will be followed by their official comeback on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on the 23rd.

 On June 15th, Korean groups Supernova along with B2ST debuted their newest Japanese singles and both appeared in the top 3 of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.

Supernova placed second for “Kuriunnare – Kimi ni Aitakute” by selling 28,264 units while B2ST placed third for “BAD GIRL” by selling 21,449 units. In addition, Korean group, The Boss placed 7th on the chart for “Love Bingo!“, which is their second Japanese single.

Popular Johnny’s duo group KinKi Kids placed first with “Time” by selling 70,900 units.

On June 16th, the top three was still KinKi Kids, Supernova and Beast with 34209, 9700 and 8683 copies sold respectively, while The Boss dropped two spots landing at #9.

Congratulations to both Supernova, The Boss, and B2ST on this accomplishment.

10 Football Players Receive Lifetime Ban For Match Fixing

Ten South Korean football players has been banned for life after they were indicted for accepting money from gambling brokers in exchange for offers to help their K-League teams lose on purpose, South Korea's top professional football league said Friday.

This is the toughest penalty in the league's 28-year history, reports Yonhap news agency.

After a disciplinary committee meeting, the K-League said 10 of 11 indicted players will be permanently prohibited from playing in the league.

The league will ask the Korea Football Association (KFA), the local governing body of the sport, to keep these players from taking up other football-related posts.

Nationwide music charts recorded on Thursday, real time, that Shin Hye Sung 4th album titled "THE ROAD NOT TAKEN" top the charts at 2,1 positions right after the release of the album. In particular, this album have already top the #1 position on pre-sales prior to the release, proving the expectations of his fans.

Shin Hye sung new full album came in two different versions both with distinctive set of pictures, "H" version and "S" version. Both version of the full album were ranked at 2,1 positions on the charts of offline music stores showing his extraordinary popularity.

Sojun showed his jealousy towards Hyunjoo’s popularity.

Aired on June 17th on SBS daily drama ‘While You Were Sleeping,’ Hyunjoo (Ahn Jihyun) teasing Sojun (Lee Sungyeol), who didn’t do well on his exam.

In response to her teasing, Sojun said, “Stop joking around like this” and “You’re always the same” as Hyunjoo responded, “People need to have consistency.”

Continuing on, she said, “Just because you didn’t do well on your exam doesn’t mean you can’t waver your mood good or bad” and “There’s so much to do in life, so don’t be so down because of studying.”

Then, one of the younger students approached Hyunjoo and said, “Nuna, I heard you like Infinite” and “I heard everyone wants to go with you, so I got tickets” as he handed her the concert tickets.

Sojun who saw this was struck dumbfounded and snatched the tickets away after staring at Hyunjoo, showing his jealousy while Hyunjoo flips her hair back in seeing the appeal her popularity to Sojun.

miss A targets a triple crown for 2011 + talks about upcoming album

Thanks to the wild popularity of their first two singles, “Bad Girl Good Girl” and “Breathe“, miss A received love and support that rookies generally don’t get to enjoy right off the bat.

The girls won first place on music programs with their debut song, and even nabbed the much-coveted ‘rookie award’ at year-end ceremonies. Since then, they’ve spread into individual activities before regrouping again in March for the release of “Love Alone“.

Although fans are dearly missing the girls, miss A promises that they’re ready to conquer the second half of the year. Indeed, they’re already in the midst of heavy preparations for their comeback album.
