T-ara is planning on making their Japanese debut having signed with J-ROCK for an impressive exclusive contract worth 350 million yen (4.7 billion won, or 4.7 million USD). The highest out of all Korean girl groups.
T-ara's company revealed to the press on June 7th, "T-ara's major label in Japan will be Toshiba EMI while the management and marketing is responsible by Johnny's Entertainment's Smile Company. J-ROCK also has plans of pursuing a multi-entertainment together in Korea as well, with T-ara tackling dramas, MCing, singing, movies, etc."
T-ara is planned to be having a showcase at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo (with approximately 2,500 seats) on July 5th. On that day it is expected for Japanese reporters and more than 100 broadcasting companies to cover the event.
T-ara debuted in July 2009 with 'Lies', receiving the love of the public with hit songs such as 'Bo Peep Bo Peep', 'I Go Crazy Because of You', 'Like the First Time', 'Why Are You Being Like This', and 'Yayaya'. Also with their stylish and energetic charms, they have managed to extend out to different areas with appearances in CFs, dramas, movies, varieties, and etc.
Meanwhile, T-ara is busily preparing for their Japan showcase.

Rainbow Set To Debut In Japan With A

Rainbow has announced that they’ve signed on with Japan’s Universal Sigma for their Japanese debut this September!
Though they’ve yet to make their formal debut, the girls are already receiving much attention because they’re the sister group and labelmates to KARA. The girls will be kicking off their official debut with a Japanese remake of their hit track, “A“.
According to DSP Media, the Japanese have taken a lot of interest into the fact that Rainbow’s ‘belly button’ dance was banned on Korean broadcast networks.
Representatives explained, “Because of the restrictions put on girl group outfits and choreography, we were unable to show everything we had prepared. Through their Japanese promotions, however, we will be showing off their ‘belly button’ dance.”
Rainbow is also currently preparing for their follow-up promotions this month, in addition to filming for their debut Japanese music video.

After its release on June 1, Girls' Generation's 1st Japanese Album "Girls' Generation" sold 232,000 copies in its first week and reached first place on Oricon's Weekly Album ranking. With this mark, Girls' Generation broke their fellow SM Entertainment labelmate BoA's previous record for first week album sales by a foreign artist, a record which BoA held for approximately 9 years and 3 months.

Upon entering a room with a wide open view of the Han River, I am welcomed by a 3-meter-tall figurine of Robot Taekwon-V, taking charge of the place as if he owned it. The real owner was wearing jeans with his bare feet shoved into his sneakers, and taking in the sights of the room while he expertly poured me coffee was a much enjoyable experience for me as a visitor.

With the CD version of “Bijin” due tomorrow in Japan, Super Junior’s official Japanese website has been updated with new photos of the boys, along with a promotional clip.
“Bijin”, a Japanese version of their Korean hit song “BONAMANA“, was used in a commercial for the popular convenience store chain “Circle K Sunkus” that currently operates 6,257 stores throughout Japan. Recording the new song with the Japanese lyrics back in March wasn’t much of a problem for the members, and the commercial, that was actually already filmed in February, was almost done in one take, underlining the professionalism and versatility of the group.
The new photos shows the boys in their chic fashion, and also includes a brief profile.
Having been released digitally on May 18th, the CD release will follow on June 8th.

Although KARA’s new single, “Go Go Summer,” will not be released until June 29th, the pre-orders of the single were enough to help the girls grab the #1 spot on the Tower Records online sales chart just two days after the pre-sales began. The success comes after KARA’s record of being the first Korean female idol group to grab the weekly #1 spot on Oricon with their previous single, “Jet Coaster Love.”

Following the news of Rainbow and T-ARA’s crossover to Japan, it’s been announced that 4-membered girl group SECRET also have plans to debut there as well. The girls plan to break into the J-pop scene with the Japanese version of their hit single “Madonna“, which will come out on August 3rd.
SECRET has been called “basement idols” in the past, because they use to live in a dorm that was half underground when they first debuted. Although the group’s debut song wasn’t much of a hit, they broke through with their singles “Magic” and “Madonna” last year. Their 2011 single “Shy Boy” gave the group their first #1, and in March, member Jieun’s solo – “Going Crazy“ also topped the charts.
These girls became one of the hottest girl groups in Korea, and Japanese record labels battled hotly for their contract. In the end, SECRET signed on with Sony Music Artist Records.
A representative from Sony commented, “I was surprised by how good the songs were, as well as how polished their performance was.”
Leader Hyosung commented, “With our Japanese debut coming up, I am very nervous. We are preparing very hard with new feelings, so please look forward to it. And please give SECRET a lot of love.”
The group will be holding a showcase live in Tokyo on July 6th prior to the release of their Japanese single.

DBSK’s Yunho confessed that he had a beach vacation all-nude once. On the show that will be broadcast June 7th, Yunho appeared on the “Strong Heart” special “King of Kings.” On the show Yunho talked about an incident where he had to go to Bora Bora Island for music video filming.
Yunho said, “At the beach I was playing water polo with the male staff and soon the game became intense that everyone playing didn’t have their swimming suits on.”
Yunho also added, “That’s not where the story ends.”

After ending the promotional activities for the successful album Pinocchio, f(x) will be releasing a repackage album titled Hot Summer on June 14!
For the past months, Pinocchio (Danger) has been rather successful, landing the girls their first ever music chart win and brought a total of two Music Bank awards and triple crown on both M! Countdown and Inkigayo.
Fans were a little sad to see the girls end their promotional activities for Pinocchio (Danger) out of the blue but it’s time to rejoice as they will be back on stage soon with their followup promotional activities for their new repackage album!
The repackage album will contain 14 songs including the existing songs from Pinocchio as well as the brand new Hot Summer. You Are Hiding A Secret from the Paradise Ranch OST will be included, as well as f(x)’s debut single LA chA TA and Chu~♡.
The new song Hot Summer is also expected to get a good response from fans following the momentum from Pinocchio as f(x) will bring forward their unique blend of music yet again.
Meanwhile, f(x) will join the rest of the SM Town family in France for the SM Town Live in Paris on June 10 and 11.

One female teenager fan fainted during Kim Hyun Joong’s first showcase for his new album “Break Down” on June 7th. More than 4,000 fans from all over Asia packed the Jang Choong stadium to see his solo comeback, which they have been anticipating for over a year.
Also SS501’s Heo Young Saeng and Kim Kyu Jong made a surprise appearance and held a talk session together. They were in the middle of their conversation when Kim Hyun Joong, with an anguished and shocked expression, asked all of a sudden, “Did she faint?” Then he stood up and asked the security team for help as he stared at the blacked out fan with a concerned face. The fan was taken outside by the security team and it was told that she later recovered without much trouble after resting for five minutes.
Kim Hyun Joong requested “I understand that you all want to get a closer view of me. But please show some consideration for people in front of you as you each take one step back.”

Brave Girls showed a very elegant and feminine charm for their debut song ‘Do You Know’, but now they’ll transform radically for their upcoming ‘So Sexy’ music video. In it, they’re seen wearing charismatic uniforms, making fan boys especially excited for their return.

The girls will be working with Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sung for their comeback track, “Roly Poly (Bo Peep Bo Peep II)“! The song is described to be an ’80s retro track with a disco style, which was inspired by John Travolta’s image.
A total of 20 dancers will be joining the girls on stage to create that disco feel. T-ara will bring back popular dance moves from the ’70s and ’80s in their choreography, including the hustle, diamond dance, and the ABC dance.
Core Contents Media explained, “T-ara’s new album, ‘John Travolta Wannabe‘, is a concept about missing John Travolta from the movie, ‘Saturday Night Fever‘. We’ve emphasized the charms of disco and retro styles.”

SM Entertainment announced today that the "All About Girls' Generation 'Paradise in Phuket' " DVD co-produced by SBS Contents Hub will be released at the end of June.
The DVD will contain a history of Girls' Generation from their beginning until now. On the DVD will be all of Girls' Generation's music videos along with unpublished Hoot member-specific music video versions, and behind-the-scenes videos of album jacket photo shoots and music video filming. The DVD spans 6 discs, will be 715 minutes long, will come with a mini photo album, and is expected to draw a hot reaction from fans. The girls' appearance on Kim Jungeun's Chocolate will also be included on the DVD.
Also, a Girls' Generation variety program called "Real Treasure", which was filmed in Phuket, will be included along with self video cam footage of the members enjoying Phuket. The girls also included messages to their family, friends, and fans. Another special included treat is a music video to the Girls' Generation song "Echo".
A Bluray version is also scheduled to be released in addition to the DVD, though the release date for the Bluray has yet to be announced.
