Fendi Show Goes on After It Sheds Some Fur From Catwalk

Animal rights activists tear a mock animal during a rally near the venue for Italian fashion house Fendi's fashion show in Seoul, South Korea, Thursday, June 2, 2011

Fendi's glitz and glamour showed off with a new colorful, young and sporty look in its 2011 fall-winter fashion collection.

It was also notable for its use of fur, although less than what it had originally planned on. Some of the fur was stripped from the show at the insistence of the South Korean government when anti-fur activists had threatened to protest.

But the largest show in Asia that Fendi and the Seoul Metropolitan Government launched Thursday with much ambition still attracted groups of animal rights protesters shouting slogans of anti-fur outside the venue.

"No fur, no Fendi," chanted 80 to 90 protesters who included school children while a woman spread red paint on a sheet of paper with the name Fendi on it.

 On June 5th, T-ara’s Jiyeon uploaded two cute photos of her and groupmates Eunjung and Hyomin putting on mud facial masks.

As the caption, she wrote, “Three black beans”.

All three of them have the black face mask plastered on every corner of their faces, and although it looks pretty ridiculous in a sel-ca, they look adorable all the same.

Hyomin retweeted, “Looks pretty tasty”, while Eunjung added, “keke removing toxins, I will look at this photo whenever I’m sad.”

Long awaited Nine Muses news!

Nine Muses‘ Sam, Erin, and Hyuna have been selected to be the newest endorsement models for water park, ‘Woongjin Play Doci’!

These idols were all originally models, so they had no problem showing off their bodies for the water park’s CF. Representatives commented, “They’ve maintained both a sexy and cute image since their debut last year. We noticed that they have a variety of charms to show and felt that they’d fit well with the dynamic quality of some of the new features of our water park.”

Their CF began airing June 1st, and new profile posters of the girls were released today. Nine Muses is also reported to be preparing for their comeback this summer, so stay tuned for more updates.

KBS’s “Immortal Song 2” certainly debuted to a strong start, but it was also embroiled in a series of controversies that left viewers with some concerns.

The show recorded remarkable viewer ratings, coming in at 7.9% according to AGB Nielsen Media Research. To put the achievement into perspective, it beat out MBC’s “We Got Married” and it was only 1.1% off from SBS’s “Star King.”

VIP composes heartfelt song for Big Bang

In times of trouble, Big Bang's beloved fans never cease to come through in bearing loads of support for the boys. In the latest heartfelt gesture, a fan personally wrote her own song for Big Bang, and virally shared it with the world via Youtube.

The song details what gratitude and pride VIPs feel for being able to be fans of Big Bang. She sings about how the fanbase as a whole will be there for them regardless of the situation. The fan then goes on to tell of how Big Bang has inspired them to the point that there are right words to show their gratitude, as evident in the lyrics, "You’ve given us so much that we can hardly find all the right words we need to thank you."

Idol group B2ST is widely known for their respectful manners, but netizens were once again stunned by how courteous and thoughtful the boys are of others.
Maknae Dongwoon’s birthday is on June 6th, which is also Korea’s Memorial Day. Dongwoon has been receiving countless birthday gifts and messages of congratulations from both fans and fellow stars. While Dongwoon certainly appreciated the love, he took to his Twitter to write, “I don’t know whether I’m deserving of such love. What’s more important than my birthday is the fact that it’s Memorial Day.  Please remember those who had sacrificed their lives for our country and thank them.”
