Upcoming four member girl group ‘Blady‘, who previously earned headlines for being praised by Shinsadong Tiger, has made their official debut with the release of their digital single, “Spark Spark“!
This girls’ official title track, “Crazy Day“, won’t be released until May 27th, so this single album is an introductory album to music fans. “Spark Spark” features a retro sound that’s easy to follow along with.
CEO Kim Tae An of SY6 Entertainment commented, “The girls contracted for a CF with KT Olle On Air prior to their debut and are already preparing to advance into Vietnam, Japan, and China. Through the praise of Shinsadong Tiger, they’re one of the likely candidates to win a rookie award at this year’s year-end ceremonies.”

Recently, Junho (2PM), Ye Eun (Wonder Girls), and Jo Kwon (2AM) have publicly announced that they’ve been having feelings of a void within them. What could be the reason behind all this?
These ‘89ers – and also all coincidentally under JYP Entertainment - have voiced their feeling of emptiness to their fans. For instance, on May 16th, Junho tweeted, “Time seems to fly by really fast. I feel like I’ve been spending my time forgetting who I am. Because of that, I feel very empty when I’m alone.”
Ye Eun responded to Junho’s tweet saying, “I wonder if this is what all 23-year-olds go through. I’m going through the same thing and even my friends have been like that too. Let’s be strong.”
Jo Kwon responded to both of them, saying, “You’re right about the emptiness. Even my stomach feels hollow because of enteritis. Let’s stay strong, friends.”
Concerned, fans hurriedly assured the trio, leaving comments such as, “Even so, you guys always have fans to cheer you on“, “I’m 23 too and I have those same feelings every once in awhile“, and “Is there something going on that’s making you feel this way?”
Meanwhile, 2PM is set to release their first Japanese single, “Take Off“, on the 18th; the Wonder Girls are flying back and forth between the states and Korea to work on their upcoming album; and 2AM is scheduled to visit Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam from May to mid-June for promotional activities.

"Poseidon" still not making any progress.
"Posedion" which started filming back in November was suppose to be the successor for SBS drama "Midas". Filming was suppose to resume in June of this year but due to difficulties couldnt. Ultimately, drama "Lie to Me" took the place of "Midas".
In addition, Kim Kang Woo and Kim Ok Bin expressed their intention of dropping out of the drama. Yuno who is currently in the middle of overseas promotions and variety shows appearance is in no rush to do so and he hasnt officially drop out of the drama either.
Although, the officials from the production team have stated that they will be resuming filming in June there is no guarantees as now they have to replace those who droped out and are in the middle of liaising and re-casting new actors.
Eric's side stated, "Eric is tied down due to Poseidon contract". "There have been discussions about other projects including KBS2TV "Myung Wol the spy", and as "Poseidon" still his first priority, puts him in a very difficult situation".
In addtion, "Posedion" is a marine police rescue team where the audience will be able to see their human side and sacrifices they make for each other.

T-ara’s Eun Jung attracted attention for making a statement about giving up eating and sleeping at the press conference for the movie “White: Melody of Curse” today.
When asked the question, “What would you be able to do in order to gain popularity?” the actress/idol star replied “I haven’t had any special experiences. I would be able to give up the most basic things. I could give up eating and sleeping. I noticed that by reducing sleeping, you can gain something.”

On May 18th, CJES Entertainment rebutted, “The lawsuit about JYJ’s subordinate contract with SM Entertainment that KBS was referring to was already acknowledged by the court as lopsided and disadvantageous to JYJ, and the contract was subsequently nullified.”
“In addition, last February, the invalidity of their contract with SME was emphasized once more as the court declared another order for SME to stop indirectly impeding on JYJ’s activities. With these being said, we believe KBS’s stance does not match up with the facts.”
They continued, “When SM Entertainment lodged a lawsuit regarding the ‘dual contract’, the court rejected their argument and ordered SM to not interfere with JYJ’s activities with CJES Entertainment. Considering JYJ’s lonely fight against such a huge agency in request for a more reasonable contract, we believe it is wrong that KBS is deviating from the objective truth and making the public think that JYJ are just creating more societal problems. We strongly request for them to make corrections on their part.”
“Especially with JYJ currently participating in overseas promotional projects with various countries, as well as being appointed highly ranked ambassadors, we’re very disappointed that they are speaking of JYJ as threats to the culture industry,” concluded CJES Entertainment.

SNSD takes over Hanyang University

SNSD captivated their audience by performing to ‘Gee’, ‘Run Devil Run’, ‘Oh!’, and ‘Hoot’. It was said that SNSD came back to Korea in between their busy Japanese promotions just to perform at the festival.
Also, the response to SNSD’s performance was simply amazing.
One netizen stated, “At this age, I never knew I would go back to the college I graduated from just to see SNSD. I never went anywhere just to see celebrities, but for this occasion I waited 3 hours just to see SNSD.”
Another netizen stated, “It was so hectic that I thought Hanyang University was going to collapse. It was as though when the girls came out, all the students had an out of body experience. Also, when SNSD sang ‘Gee’ I was reminded of the military because of all the guys singing along to it.”
Other netizens commented, “I thought I was at some photography convention. Everyone here brought very high end cameras and camcorders. Fans and industry professionals alike have speculated for a while that because of SM entertainment's influence, JYJ have been shunned by the broadcasting stations. Just last week, MBC suddenly cancelled the airing of an interview of the 'Ripley' cast, in which Park Yoochun is the lead male actor. Today, KBS finally publicly addressed their stance and reason for not allowing JYJ on KBS broadcasts. Check out the translation of KBS's statement below:
“JYJ is currently involved in an on-going lawsuit with their former management agency. KBS is trying to remain an objective standpoint on the whole situation, but it is generally understood when celebrities are involved in legal disputes, we limit their appearances because it could possibly influence the outcome of the lawsuit.
It looks like JYJ has submitted a request to nullify their existing contract with the former agency hence allowing them to temporarily participate in individual activities. But JYJ has signed another contract with a new agency, and so they are currently under a dual contract.
Therefore, for these reasons, KBS has decided if JYJ continues with TV appearances, they could possibly raise further legal problems, and damage the overall growth and system of the country’s cultural industry. So until JYJ and their agency solve their legal disputes, we will not allow any of their TV appearances. Future casting and appearances will be determined according to court decisions.”

TOP (Choi Seung Hyun) has been chosen to star in PD Yoon Sukho’s upcoming new drama. PD Yoon Sukho is known for directing the four different seasons love dramas/endless love drama series, “Winter Sonata”, “Autumn In My Heart”, “Spring Waltz”, and “Summer Scent”.
PD Yoon Sukho will be making his comeback with a new drama called, “Our Happy Youthful Days” (title may change since they won’t start filming till August), which has been getting positive reviews and he offered a role to TOP.
TOP has shown his great acting skills as a serial killer in KBS 2TV drama, “IRIS”, and as Lieutenant Oh Jang Beom, in “71-Into The Fire” proving his capabilities as an actor.
