In the midst of preparing for her upcoming comeback, it was revealed that singer Lee Jung Hyun is in discussions with Lady Gaga’s company about a contract.
Lee Jung Hyun had recently visited Los Angeles to meet with Lady Gaga’s company. Lee Jung Hyun’s rep said on the 6th,
Last week, she went to LA and met with Lady Gaga’s people.
The meeting was about an exclusive contract. Lee Jung Hyun has been thinking about an American debut and they were discussing things about last minute decisions for a contract. Lady Gaga’s company watched Lee Jung Hyun’s upcoming music video for Suspicious Man. They liked the different theme and wanted to remix it for Lady Gaga’s album.

Leader of SS501, Kim Hyun Joong is currently under a stressful dilemma with the end of his contract quickly approaching.
Kim Hyun Joong’s contract with DSP Entertainment will officially end on June 8th. There are rumors that he will separate from the other SS501 members and pursue an acting career. However, there are also opposing rumors that all the members of SS501 and the company have unofficially renewed the contract.
Furthermore, it is well known that Kim Hyun Joong is best friends with TVXQ’s Jaejoong. An unknown source said that there was a possibility that Kim Hyun Joong will enter Jaejoong, Micky, and Junsu’s current company. In fact, Hyun Joong and Jaejoong are currently living together, so it’s been said that the two best friends are currently cautiously contemplating about Kim Hyun Joong’s future.
Also, Kim Hyun Joong recently met with Bae Yong Joon. Netizens are now wondering if this meeting had anything to do with Hyun Joong’s contract. However, a representative of Bae Yong Joon clarified the situation, saying, “The meeting was strictly personal.”

Idol group MBLAQ (Seungho G.O. Lee Joon Thunder Mir) will release their single album music video teaser through GomTV on the 6th at 1:00PM KST.
This time MBLAQ's 2nd single album has been produced and will be shown in a rarely seen drama form, which has gotten the many attention of the fans.
Specifically, MBLAQ's Lee Joon who has been acknowledged for his acting skills in the movie 'Ninja Assassin' will once again show off his acting in this music video, increasing the anticipation of this music video.

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea and Miryo has horrible dark circles under their pretty eyes.
Pictures of the two girls with exaggerated dark circles under their eyes has been posted for fans to see on Jea’s mini-hompy. The pictures were taken while they were preparing and recording for their song Love Is for the Blue Brand project.
The pictures were posted under the title ‘The Dark Circle Girls,’ and Jea had posted, “We took these pictures to show how hard we were working. The drawn dark circles underneath our eyes were drawn with the pencil that we used to make the song.”
(Fans, please send these girls some brocolli, for their dark circles are worse than Big Bang Seungri’s.)

With their 4th album comeback date set, it has been known that the teaser video for Super Junior’s comeback will be revealed on 7th May.
Coming 7th May, their teaser video will be released through their official homepage as well as various portal and music sites. It will show the transformation the Super Junior members went through for more masculine and charming features.
The group previously took Korea and many parts of Asia by storm with the song ‘Sorry Sorry’ which did really well up on various music charts. So there is great anticipation as to how the new music and performance to the group will be.
Meanwhile, the 4th album is set to be released on and offline on 13th May.

Even though previously, the new album release date for C.N Blue has been delayed due to vocalist Jung YongHwa being diagnosed with vocal cord nodules, it has been announced that the group’s album release will resume as planned initially.
A FNC Music rep revealed, “During the last stage of their new album preparation, Jung YongHwa was diagnosed with vocal code nodules. Fortunately, he recovered faster than expected and the doctor told us he could sing again.”
So with that, the group will release their new album on 19th May, it will include 10 songs with 1 song to be revealed online before the official release.
The company also revealed that to protect Jung YongHwa’s vocals, for the first few weeks after their comeback, they will only do the minimal amount of activities.
Meanwhile, it is known that CN Blue’s new song is written by Jung YongHwa.

Just days after we reported that SS501's leader Kim Hyun Joong was spotted having a private meeting with Bae Yong Joon, news of his contract expiring hit the media today. Apparently Hyun Joong's contract with DSP Entertainment will expire next month (June 8th) and there is much speculation as to whether or not he will re-sign with DSP. There are three main rumors circulating about the issue: the first being that he will leave DSP and SS501 to pursue acting, second that all members of SS501 have already unofficially renewed their contracts already, and third that Hyun Joong will leave DSP but still be a member of S501.

This is really weird! If you have Comcast On Demand, feel free to scroll down to your Music section to watch Kpop MVs. So far I’ve seen titles for 2PM, SNSD, Super Junior, 2NE1, 4Minute and G-Dragon. Has Kpop finally reached the global stage, or do you think this is just a fad?
IMO: I thought BoA being featured On Demand with “I Did It For Love” was unique. But now Korean MVs are being played on American television actually in Korean. (sorry no subtitles)

Coming soon to the K-pop scene is a five member boy band named Code-V. They’re coming back with a new upcoming single titled Addiction.
Although this will be the debut of Code-V, this really isn’t a true debut per se. The group had originally debuted in 2007 under the name Bless, but they were anything but blessed as they flopped and immediately left the scene (so it doesn’t really count). Even though their initial debut was a bust, the boys are confident that this time around, things will be different.
These five boys which make up Code-V (with the V being the roman numeral representation for the number 5) include Taemin, Sang Woo, Nallo, Sol and Jae Won.
Sang Woo and Nallo have worked with SG Wannabe member Lee Seok Hoon and Blue Wind Soul. Taemin worked as a vocal trainer, Sol was the singer / song writer for an indie rock band and maknae Jaewon comes in with his rapping skills.
All of these boys come from various backgrounds. With a variety of talents in their arsenal, will they be able to succeed?
Code-V will be making their debut / comeback with the release of Addiction on the 13th.

SM Entertainment took action against the three members of TVXQ and filed for an objection to the verdict on the contract suspension injunction as well as a verification of the continued existence of the exclusive contract. The first hearing for this lawsuit will be held at the Seoul District Courts on May 7th in the afternoon.
On this day, only the legal representatives of the two side will be attending the hearing. As this is a civil suit, the three members will not be participating in the trial.
The three members of TVXQ filed for a contract suspension injunction against SM Entertainment on July 31st, 2009 to the Seoul District Courts and were rewarded with a partial acceptance verdict on October 27th.
At the time, the Courts stated, “SM can no longer sign contracts regarding any TVXQ activities without notifying the members beforehand. SM must also not interfere with any individual activities the members of TVXQ wish to pursue.”
Then, SM filed a lawsuit against the three members on April 12th, 2010 objecting the verdict to the contract suspension injunction and asking for a verification of the continued existence of the exclusive contract. SM also called for the three members to pay 2.2 billion Won in compensation.
SM’s representative stated, “After the injunction, we have tried hard to continue TVXQ’s existence so we have kept this lawsuit aside. However, as the three members did not give an official statement regarding future TVXQ activities and as TVXQ’s Japanese activities were suspended, we have decided to go ahead with the lawsuit.”

Rain is a successful young man in the prime of his life - virile, strong, confident, um, ahem - he's doing well folks. Also with age comes maturity, and as if to emphasize this point Rain has been more candid in talking about his love life and the opposite sex in general this go 'round. In a recent interview on the radio show 'Park So Hyun's Love Game', he makes a statement that makes Lee Hyori/Rain fans happy, but then has them scratching their heads.
SH: Of course, I will do anything for you
Rain: Then don't let me be the DJ alone, give me a female partner as well.
SH: Whom do you want? How about choosing one from Girls Generation?
Rain: The age gap between me and Girls Generation is too big. I personally feel it will be interesting for me to host a show together with Li Hyori. We are good friends.

Before the release of the album on the 13th, the title song 'Beautiful woman' which will be revealed through Bugs, Melon, Dosirak, Cyworld and various music sites on the 10th at 10AM is the product of hit composer Yoo Young Jin. Its genre is titled 'SJ FUNKY (SUPER JUNIOR FUNKY)'

Local celebrities including K-pop singer-actor Rain have teamed up with the Ministry of Culture and Internet portal Nate to upgrade Korea's image.
The campaign, dubbed "Creating a High-class Country With 28 Stars," was launched Thursday and has invited 28 popular figures to share their experience as honorary ambassadors for various government bodies and projects.
Baseball pitching coach Sun Dong-yeol, who is promoting law-and-order for the Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency, wrote about his observations of baseball games. "These days, spectators pick up after themselves when the game is over, and it's rare to see tissues or empty drink bottles and cigarette butts lying around. I believe this is a true example of fair play spirit."
Broadcaster Kim Sung-hwan, who is representing the Ministry of Justice, also shared his thoughts. "Let us abandon the thought 'I don't make much of a difference,' and try to observe the law for the small things in everyday life."
Other celebrities taking part in the event include Rain, who is promoting the globalization of hansik; movie star Ji Jin-hee, who is the ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organization; comedian Nam Hee-seok, who is representing the antipiracy campaign "Copy Zero"; actor Zo In-sung, the face for Military Manpower Administration; and actor Jung Jun-ho, who is the ambassador for the Ministry of Unification.

The Super Junior official site’s schedule has been updated to include:
2010-05-10 Super Junior – The 4th Album Title Song Release!
[T/N]: Because there has been some confusion: “Title Song” means the song that’s their first single, and is called such because it also is usually the title of their album (eg. “Don’t Don”, “Sorry Sorry”). They’ll be releasing the actual song, not just the name of the song. I assume we’ll get the title of the song when we get the MV teaser tomorrow.

"Boys Over Flowers" had finally premiered on television. "I was monitoring the first episode too and it was really fun. I always find my dramas to be fun. Haha."
But Lee started gaining some anti-fans after the first episode. "After the premiere episode, there were many responses like 'What is up with his hair' and 'he looks cheesy.' But I think it worked out for the better because it made a strong impact from the start and then they started supporting me from the second episode on. Really, they became crazier about me. People were talking about 'Boys Over Flowers' all over the Internet."
It was during the location shoot in Daegu that Goo Joon-pyo, or Lee Min-ho felt like he "made it." "I went down to Daegu for a shoot and a lot of fans showed up to watch. I think around 2,000 people came and we couldn't shoot there so we came back. I thought, 'Ah, this drama has made it.'"
