Fall In Love performance~

Earlier in November, it was reported that TaeYang will be working with Thelma Aoyama for a track called "Fall In Love" off her new album. Japanese pop singer, Thelma Aoyama has recently performed "Fall In Love," and guess whose voice was heard on the track?

TaeYang was not present at the fan meeting when Thelma Aoyama performed the song, but watching the performance, you will be able to hear his voice.

Thelma Aoyama's album will be released on January 27, 2010. Like Thelma, TaeYang is currently working on an album of his own, his second solo album. This album will be called REAL and as of now, the release date has not been confirmed or announced.

The song is quite catchy and I find myself replaying the performance. TaeYang makes a vocal appearance in the song at 0:59 and again at 1:46.

U-kiss stops promoting Man Man Ha Ni

U-Kiss, who continues to gain popularity with ‘Man Man Ha Ni’ even after goodbye stage, to hold fanmeeting on 17th Jan

Even after their goodbye stage, U-Kiss‘ recent hit ‘Man Man Ha Ni’ continues to gain popularity going up strong on various music charts.

U-Kiss has recently been gaining much popularity through their ’strong guy’ dance for the song ‘Man Man Ha Ni’. And on 19th December, they had their goodbye stage on MBC Music Core, but the song continues to go up rankings on various album, music and broadcast hits charts.



According to Air Monitor, which monitors broadcast hits on TV, radio and broadcast media, announced on 21st December that U-Kiss ‘Man Man Ha Ni’ is #1 on 3-way broadcast hits chart and #2 on weekly radio broadcast hits chart.

Meanwhile, many fans are curious why the group has suddenly stopped promotions for the album when the group is up for 4 weeks on Take7 for SBS Inkigayo.

U-Kiss has revealed, “We are thankful to fans who have showed us great support with the song ‘Man Man Ha Ni’. To repay that, we are currently preparing for our fanmeeting ‘Kiss Me Day’ which will take place on 17th January 2010. And there are plans for us to comeback with a full-length album soon.”

14 male celebrities have attempted to court Tae Yeon!

So Nyeo Shi Dae TaeYeon talked truthfully about her experience of being confessed to and chased after by male celebrities.

She revealed on SBS Strong Heart aired on 22nd December, “I have always been asked how many male celebrities have confessed to me during interviews. There are actually 14 of them.”

She added, “Of them, there is one who gave me much stress. Around last year, he called using a number I didn’t know. I thought it was a joke, he didn’t even call back to clear things and then a message came. It turned out that he is a big seonbae whom she only knows by name and face.” TaeYeon said, “After that, we had continued to keep in touch like normal. And he would call in the middle of the night when he is all drunk and moody. He would also talk to the people around me to find out about my private life. I really could not take it anymore and told him ‘(in causal language) What are you trying to do? There is no meaning to continue to keep in touch’.”

But the seonbae then replied, “You still need to continue your celebrity life, how can we stop keeping in touch” TaeYeon added lastly, “I was worried because the seonbae has said that purposely. But I hope he would not do that to other juniors.” Meanwhile TaeYeon revaeled of the 14 who have confessed and chased after her, “My ideal type of guy is one with wide shoulders, and of them there is one who moved me. But I have to refrain from my feelings.”

Oh the stories that Strong Heart reveals!

On the Christmas edition of the show, SNSD maknae Seohyun decided to reveal her dark past as a Corleone family member, extorting money from rival family businesses.

Just kidding of course, but the girl does have some attitude when it comes to money.

Seohyun revealed that she was always careful about her money, down to 10's of won (less than 1 cent!).

Of course, the issue came up, "Has anyone in SNSD borrowed money from you and not repayed?"

Somewhat shyly, Seohyun revealed that Yuri had once borrowed a whopping 1920 won (~$2.00) to buy jellies back when Seohyun was in middle school. She casually put it off saying that it didn't matter anymore when Shindong commented, "The way I see it, when she says it doesn't matter anymore, she's actually saying, 'At least pay it back now.'"

After being sidetracked, Seohyun continued with her story. "So because we have 9 members in the group, our schedules are pretty tight. If we have something scheduled at 6 A.M. we have to get up at 3 or 4 to be on time. If we aren't, everything gets pushed back. So I told everyone, 'For every minute late, I'll collect 1000 won (~$1.00) from everyone. I think I've collected more than 1 million won (~$1000)."

So who's been penalized the most?

"Jessica unni... I usually have to wake her up 5 times. We were an hour late once because of her."

That's $60 right there!

Taeyeon confirmed Seohyun's mobster like behavior, "Once I was second into the car and she said to me, 'Unni, you're a minute late, $1 please.'"

And where does all the money go? The girls use it for necessities such as groceries and the like.

What a strong willed maknae! The guests started commenting, "Maybe Seohyun should become the leader!" and "She would fit better into the National Tax Service!"

SNSD New Song ShowShowShow

SNSD stated at a press conference that they would preform their new song ShowShowShow at their second concert in Seoul.

Popular girl group SNSD Asia Tour Concert's press conference was held on the 20th at 1:30 pm at Seoul's Olympic gymnastics hall.

This is the first time since their debut in 2007 (Into the New World concert) that they have had their own solo concert (exactly 2 years and 4 months). A lot of attention by the public has been given to their upcoming concerts because this is their first solo concert in a long time.

Meanwhile, SNSD's concert sold out 13 000 tickets within 4 minutes, which is a record of fastest selling time.

SNSD will continue their concert tour, starting from Seoul to proceed to Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai, etc.

Jang Geun Seok turned down the Go Jun Pyo role

On the latest episode of KBS Shin Dong-yup and Shin Bong-sun's Champagne, it was revealed that Jang Geun Suk turned down an offer to play the rich meanie Goo Joon Pyo in the hit drama series Boys Over Flowers!

Jang Geun Suk explained that, as he was looking at potential projects, the two dramas that really caught his eye were Beethoven Virus and Boys Over Flowers. He wanted to do both but felt that Beethoven Virus had more to offer as a learning experience since many senior actors would be appearing on the show. With that in mind, he got a role in Beethoven Virus, and the role of Goo Joon Pyo eventually went to Lee Minho.

Jang Geun Suk seems to have no regrets, and said that Lee Minho portrayed the character well and that, if Jang Geun Suk had taken on the role, it might not have been as good. Perhaps Jang saw the success of Boys Over Flowers and decided to make it up by starring in You're Beautiful, another show with a large teen fan base.

Yoon JongShin Flower Delivery “Flower 365” is one among the many. This Flower Delivery service recently conducted a survey to mall visitor from Nov 23-Dec 22 and managed to get 549 respondent to the survey which went under the title “Which Star whom you want to give Roses Bouquet on Christmas?”.

 

The result of the survey ended as follow: KARA Goo Hara is #1 with 298 people (54.2%), followed by 2NE1 Dara with 139 persons (25.3%) and After School Uee at 3rd place with 112 persons (20.4%).

Today, via his blog on mapthesoul.com, Epik High member DJ Tukutz sent his holiday greetings and an update on his military service.

It's been 2 months since DJ Tukutz left for his military duties and it seems he's doing well and learning a lot from his experience there. He left but a quick message telling his fans that he is fine and to not worry. He also expressed his feelings of missing everyone.

DJ Tukutz uploaded a picture of him in uniform and ended on a cheery note saying, "This may be early but everyone, Merry Christmas~! Please enjoy the concert without me~ I'll be there with you all in spirit^^"

U-kiss to Star in a New Reality Show

Now there hasn't been any official news about it yet, but Eli revealed on this weeks Midday Break that they will be starting to film a new reality show soon. All the boys will be spending their Christmas day in an apartment filming.

Koreans choose So Nyeo Shi Dae as 2009 best singer and ‘Gee’ as best song

Poll organization Korea Gallup announces the annual poll collated from the 2 polls done in May and November over 2,919 Korean netizens from the age 13 to 59, summarizing the Korean music industry for both 1st and 2nd half of the year.

And So Nyeo Shi Dae has been voted the best singer of the year for their hit songs and trends with ‘Gee’ and ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ with 29.8% of the votes from the 2,919 who voted.
At #2 is Big Bang (21.1% of votes), even though the group did not have activities in Korea this year, the members had their solo activities and this is their 3rd year at #2 on the annual poll. And at #3 is 2PM who made hits with ‘Again & Again’ and ‘Heartbeat’.

Park Shin Hye on a mission to spread some love in Nepal!

It is known that actress Park ShinHye has recently visited a village Tapatali in Nepal.

She is there to personally deliver fan-prepared stationery for children in the village. Even though by country policy, many children got the chance to go to school there, many facilities were still lacking for the children.

She also visited the homes of the needy and took care of a 12-year-old child’s sibling and their mother. In addition, she also went down to the quarry to help out workers who live in the slums, carrying the rocks and a big hammer with her small hand.

Park ShinHye even worn the Santa Clause costumes making Christmas happen in the village by giving out presents and taking photo – making this Christmas a special one for the kids who only know about Christmas through stories told by others.

She said, “Looking at the smiles of the children who live in such difficult situation, I wanted to spread more love so I joined this volunteering project. But I felt sorry about that because I felt I have received more love.”

Brown Eyed Girls leader JeA and Big Mama’s Lee Young Hyun wanted to collab with each other for a long time and finally got a chance to as they team up for a duet. The ballad track had fans waiting in anticipation and is already listed for an OST that is set for 2010. The duo make some harmonious music while ironically the movie itself has got some musical traits of its own.

The two rookie groups who've been "battling it out" ever since their debuts due to numerous comparisons are finally set to have a joint performance for the special Christmas episode of Music Bank. Below is the announcement made by BEAST's talent company Cube Entertainment.

SJM to temporarily end all activities

Since reporting that Korean group Super Junior-M's leader Han Geng filed a contract termination request against SM Entertainment on December 21st, it has triggered many speculations from the media world. Recently, a reporter noticed that the December 30th event guest list for "Passionate Animation Festival" includes SJM's member Henry's name.

The reporter realized that Henry's name is not linked with other members, but with SM's Chinese female artist, Zhang Li Yin to sing her song, "Love Me". According to festival producers, they originally planned for the entire group to appear at the event but because of the recent lawsuit, SM declared that SJM cannot perform due to "internal reasons" and offered the Zhang Li Yin & Henry combination instead of the originally planned complete SJM group. The festival staff member then said, "Afterwards, we learned that SJM cannot attend because of Han Geng's contract termination. Currently, the company is consulting with Han Geng on this matter. During this stage of Han Geng's leave of the group, SJM will also temporarily disband, and Henry with Zhang Li Yin will represent the company by forming a group for future promotions."

About SM's temporary adjustment, the producers welcomed it. "Before SJM required 150,000 in appearance fees, now with only Henry and Zhang Li Yin, it is only 50,000. The fee difference is quite a lot."

january 2010: boyband debut

Known as the big3 upcoming boybands with BEAST and MBLAQ, group Child Of Empire will have their debut next year in January!

The group which have been gaining popularity through cable channel reality program will have their official debut. Initially the group has been called ‘rivals’ to new idol groups BEAST and MBLAQ, but their debut was pushed back much to many fans’ disappointment.

The group recently did their MV filming in GyeongGiDo. With that, they has been preparing for their debut coming January. Much anticipation to their debut and upgrade in dance and vocal skills since the group members have shown its capabilities through their appearance on the reality program.

In addition, the group has received’lovecalls’ for CF even before debut and the group has also done filming for 3~4 CF before their official debut coming up strong as a newcomer group.

A staff revealed, “The boys will show vocal and performance better than what fans will expect. Even though their debut was pushed back, they have been preparing for it. And they have been waiting for their debut.”
