SEOUL: A former Korean baseball pitcher has accused the president of the production company behind hit Korean drama serial "Iris" of hiring thugs to assault him.

According to The Korean Times, Kang Byung-kyu, who is now a television host, claimed that the attack was connected to the ongoing Lee Byung-hun scandal involving the Korean superstar and his alleged ex-girlfriend who is known only as Kwon.

No, the answer is not because he's gay (although many of us are waiting for him to come out of the closet).

Jokwon recently appeared on KBS 2TV 'Happy Together' and made a shocking revelation about his love life prior to his debut. He explained, "Before debuting, I never had a girlfriend, but I did go on many dates."

When asked, "Why couldn't you find a girlfriend among the many dates you went on?", Jokwon replied that, prior to his debut, the most important thing to him was to become a singer. Hence, he could not afford to pursue a serious relationship and find a girlfriend. "I was ready to fall in love, but Park Jin Young hyung was in Korea... [so I couldn't date]"

However, the 2AM leader expressed his small flicker of hope for a potential girlfriend in the near future. "When Jin Young hyung leaves to a foreign country in January 2010, the world will be mine."

When Park Jin Young is away, Jokwon answered what changes the most is that "There are no limits during broadcasting," sending a wave of laughter in the audience.

C.N.Blue gives their fans a Christmas treat with MV filming and special event!

SBS Drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ popularity is indeed giving a good effect to one of the cast Jung Yonghwa.

He will join his band C.N. Blue for their new MV filming and spend the Christmas with their fans.

It is known that even before their official debut a fan club is already established due to the band popularity thanks to the drama. And as a Christmas treat, the band wants to repay the fans’ support by confirming their debut via an MV release.

FNC Music says that C.N. Blue will be shooting their debut MV in Ilsan from Dec 24 (8pm) until Dec 25 (5 am) together with their fans.

FNC Music,” The band will feature their fans in their debut MV, and these fans were gathered previously through an online recruitment”.

C.N. Blue will also hold a small event and (or) fanmeeting to the recruited fans who will spend their time and effort for the MV filming despite the late hours filming and the cold weather.

Meanwhile, C.N.Blue is set to release their music video as well as their debut mini album in early January of 2010.

[Sina Entertainment News] The day before, Hangeng, the only Chinese member of Asia's super popular group, Super Junior, filed for a termination of his "exclusive contract" with SM Entertainment. According to the latest news from Korea, Hangeng is not the only one who filed the lawsuit. Other Super Junior members have also filed a similar lawsuit, and they include: Lee Teuk, Yesung, Kangin, Eun Hyuk and Donghae. The only reason why news about Hangeng was exposed first, is because of his nationality.

According to the lawsuit, Hangeng has not had any rest in 2 years, causing him to suffer from fatigue, which also resulted in chronic gastritis, illnesses related to his kidney, lumbar disc herniation, as well as a visible decrease in body strength. However, SM Entertainment rejected Hangeng's requests for rest, and continued to schedule activities for him, which caused Hangeng to suffer a lot of pain.

According to the contents of the lawsuit, since the time of his debut, Hangeng didn't even have one day of rest per week. For 2 years, Hangeng has continuously done his overseas schedules as well, and had no choice but to continue with his schedules without any rest. In his contract with SM, there are clauses stating that he has to pay the company monetary damages should he be unable to fulfill the schedules arranged for him. Thus, even when he was in poor health, he had no choice but to follow through with his schedules.

Once the news broke out, many fans have expressed the wish for SM and the members to be able to make peace, and make changes to their contracts, as well as expressed hope that Super Junior will not face the threat of disbanding.

This is play about love and life of the middle age people. Kibum's role is youth!Han Youngjin (Han Youngjin is the main character of the play). He will show the main character Han Youngjin's past youth time and real ego.

Hangeng throws a bomb, requests for contract termination with SM

he shocking news of a member leaving the popular Korean group Super Junior arrives just before their Asian performance tour. According to Mainland reports, SJ's Chinese member, Hangeng, has already submitted an application to the Seoul Central District Court requesting for a termination of his contract with SM Entertainment. Due to SM's recent contract dispute with TVXQ, this matter will undoubtedly once again inflict serious damage.

SJ is affiliated with Avex Taiwan Inc. who has expressed their surprise, "We were only made aware of this from reading online. However, we have been unable to verify the authenticity of this matter. Mainland new reports are often erroneous. We have not received official information from the Korea government at this time." Organizers of SJ's concert in Taiwan in February next year, Super Dome, hasn't received news either. However, fans have already been rendered frenetic worrying about whether Hangeng would be absent from next year's concert.

In the 2001 SM Auditions, Hangeng relied on his handsome appearance and dancing talent to defeat more than 3000 competitors to receive singing, dancing, language, and other training. In 2005, he became a member of Super Junior becoming the first Chinese person to debut in Korea. In 2008, as leader, Hangeng lead SJ's subgroup Super Junior-M to invade the Chinese market.

In the recent year, SJ has exploded in popularity in China and Taiwan. Hangeng's degree of popularity is very high and has a healthy sunshine image that has impacted many. Hangeng and artiste Lulu were rumored to be together, but the two have not officially confirmed it. The Mainland media speculates that if Hangeng has really asked for a contact termination, it might be that he wants to fly solo and is not in line with SM's idea. However, everything is still waiting to be explained by SM when they step forward.

Positive Super Junior News for the Day - additional performance in SS2 Taiwan

News just broke out about Super Junior's Hangeng contract termination lawsuit making fans extremely worried. Fortunately, some exciting news came yesterday as Super Dome announced that Super Show II in Taipei has fixed 3PM Feb. 21st, 2010 for an additional performance. The tickets will start selling on Dec. 27th.

Moved by more than 3000 messages left by fans hoping for another performance, the organizers and those on the Korean side reached an agreement to add another performance. Rock Area tickets will start selling at 10AM on Dec. 27th on Super Dome's website. They will only be available for advance purchase by Dome members. Seating Area tickets will not be limited to members. Similarly, starting at 1PM on the 27th, on the eraTicket system, DuanDian (端點) and Fami Port will simultaneously start selling tickets.

As for whether Hangeng will come to next year's Taipei performance in February, Super Dome said, "Besides participating in this performance, we have already expressed to the Korean side that we hope the remaining 12 Super Junior members** can all come. We will continue to monitor the situation."

On the 21st, Hangeng requested for a contract termination through the Korean court causing Korea's idol factory, SM, to receive another blow following the TVXQ lawsuit. This has caused much heated discussion amongst media and netizens. Some felt it the managing company was wronged since, in order to train such a popular idol group, they had to enormous amount of funds in advance -- that many company investments are not seen by outsiders; Others advise that it is time for SM to face the discontent of those under the company.

An encouragement advertisement posted on the newspaper by Big Bang GDragon’s fans has recently been the topic of interests amongst netizens.

‘DCInside GDragon Gallery’ DCGD is known to have posted up 2 advertisement on JongHap Daily Newspaper on 23rd December and 18th November. Attention is drawn to the advertisements as the fans come together to collect funds to post up an encouragement message to GDragon, who was recently caught under criticisms for his solo concert, and also their say about the case.

The advertisement posted on 18th Novemeber “Cannot find GDragon” as the title and the phrase “Page cannot be displayed” doing a parody of the internet, expressing their unhappiness to YG Entertainment on how GDragon was not active for his solo activities. There was also a print written at the bottom of the page “This advertisement has nothing to do with YG Entertainment which cares more about its own image than its singers’ careers.”

And recently on 23rd December, fans who were unhappy about some parts to the concert being deleted out from GDragon’s concert DVD posted another advertisement in the newspaper, “It is the passion made by GDragon and 24,000 other fans! Touching!! We wish to feel that touching moments again with an uncut DVD”.

There was also the phrase written on the recent ad “The audience shall assess the concert performance”.

KARA Nicole and SNSD Tiffany to guest on SBS Family Outing!

Girlgroup members KARA Nicole and So Nyeo Shi Dae Tiffany will make guest appearances for SBS Family Outing.

According to the staff on 24th December, the 2 had taken part in the filming for the show on 21st and 22nd December in GyeongGiDo PoCheon. And to support their guest appearance, other girlgroup members have also made surprise appearance during the filming.

KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Brown Eyed Girls and T-ara members have appeared to show support to Nicole and Tiffany. With the appearance of the girlgroup members, it was obvious that the senior Family members Kim SooRo, Yoon JongShin and Yoo JaeSeok could not hide their excitement.

Han Geng's Termination of Contract Leads To Fragmentation of SJM - Hunan TV Rejects New SM Group

Yesterday, reporters learned from a staff member at Hunan TV that to get the entirety of SJM to perform is now very difficult: “SM says that until Han Geng’s contract dispute is over, they will not be able to send the entire group to perform. They brought up the idea of having Henry and Zhang Liyin perform in SJM’s stead; of course, we didn’t agree, because what the audience wants to see is Han Geng, and we won’t give up trying (to get him) until the last minute.”

On Christmas Eve, 2PM were the special guest performers at Noise Basement aka NB, a famous hip-hop club owned by Yang Hyunsuk (yes, the CEO of YG Entertainment) in Seoul's Hongdae district. You may remember it as the one Jay/Taecyeon/Chansung went to in the first episode of Wild Bunny. The guys performed Heartbeat, Again & Again, I Hate You and 10 Out of 10.

WonderGirls to release an album in China next year

Currently promoting in the States, 5-member group WonderGirls will release an album in China early next year.

This is according to one of JYP Entertainment staff on 24th December, “Currently the recording for the Chinese version of their songs has completed. Early next year, they will release an album officially in China.”

The staff also added, “We have not decided on the songs to be included. We will focus more on their hit songs.”

The WonderGirls had their first concert performance in China last January.
