Moon Geun Young –& Jang Geun Suk to host SBS ‘Drama Awards’

On December 18, Moon Geun Young’s management announced that Moon Geun Young has decided to take up on the job as this year’s SBS “Drama Awards” MC, along with Jang Geun Suk. “It’d be a great honor to host this show,” they said.

According to SBS, the show will be held on Dec. 31 at 8:50 p.m. Moon Geun Young will be hosting the show along with Jang Geun Suk and Park Sun Young.

Moon Geun Young’s side has agreed to this new scheduling (I guess Han Ye Seul is out since she’s still busy filming her drama “Will it show for Christmas?”), and Jang Geun Suk is up though he was busy with the Melon Awards on the 16th.

Meanwhile, last year Moon Geun Young’s drama “Painter in the wind” won her a big prize, and they predicted that Jang Geun Suk will also be getting a prize for “You’re Beautiful”.
The news didn’t really mention anything about Han Ye Seul – which is weird – but we can safely assume that she’s out, mainly because of her conflict of schedule with her drama.

Jang GeunSeok reveals his special relationship with actress Park ShinHye

Actor Jang Geun Seok was on KBS 2TV ‘Jang GeunSeok Ideal Type World Cup special’ recently when he talked about the special relationship he had with actress Park Shin Hye, they both starred in recent drama ‘You’re Beautiful.

He said, “My mother has once said that she really like Park ShinHye, who lives in the same neighborhood. There was even once when she told me to try out with Park ShinHye as a couple.”

And when asked how it went, Jang Geun Seok, “We hit well together. And so my mother asked me to invite Park ShinHye to our house.”

He also revealed that he had really liked Ha JiWon when he was working with her on KBS drama ‘Hwang JinYi’.

He revealed during his appearance on that when he was filming for that drama, he really felt that he has fallen in love with her.

“When I was filming ‘Hwang JinYi’, it was the tough period of time after I broke up with my girlfriend. Under this situation, I really liked Ha JiWon noona during the drama filming.”

He also confessed, “Not just that, I felt really excited when I did the kiss scene with Sung Yuri noona in drama ‘Hong Gil Dong’.”

Meanwhile, during the show, Jang Geun Seok showed the nervous side of him while having to choose between actresses like Ha Ji Won and Sung Yuri for his ideal women.

The show will air on 20th December at 10.25pm.

Yes, (so much that) it’s tiring. But (I) like to receive interviews. I like it as long as it’s individual interviews. [smiles] I did well if I did the interview alone, when there’re more people I’m unwilling to do it well.

Why? Is it because you won’t have the attention?
It’s not because of that but because I’m too sensitive. During group interviews I don’t like to speak. Because Teukie (and the rest) speaks very well. Moreover, when there’re more people, this person thinks this way and sits in this position, that person thinks that way and sits in that position, it wastes time. I am a time-concept thorough person, (I) dislike unpunctuality.

During the photo shoot just now, when ask that you let the shirt flow out of the pants, at that time you said you have OCD*, looks like you’re not joking?
Ah, it’s not a disorder, my mum said I’m overly picky.

Like for cups?
Yes, I dislike other people drinking my water. If anyone’s mouth touched the bottle and drank my water, I don’t wish to see him anymore. Hahaha

While you might have been sleeping... Big Bang Won Best Newcomer Award at 42nd Japan Cable DaeSang!

Currently doing their promotional activities in Japan, 5-member group Big Bang has been awarded the Best newcomer award at the 42nd Japan Cable DaeSang.

They were awarded the Best newcomer award with their Japanese single ‘Let Me Hear Your Voice’ during the award ceremony aired on Japanese cable channel TBS at 7pm on 20th December.

It was known that other Japanese artistes like Sakura Maya, Hilcrhyme and Scandal were also awarded the newcomer award. But Big Bang has emerged as the best newcomer. The members also did not expect to win the award.

Meanwhile, recently on 12th December on TBS music ranking program ‘CountdownTV’, the boys are also ranked #5 for ‘Singers who showed most prominence for this year’.

Fans cry because SJ-M was late; Hangeng: We’ll wipe their tears away

Super Junior M attended the Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Kaohsiung last night, much to the delight of many Kpop loving fans in Taiwan, but due to unforeseen circumstances they were late and were unable to walk on the red carpet.

This in turn caused fans that were waiting patiently in the cold to cry because of their disappointment, and later on backstage, leader Hangeng who had heard of this issue professed that they wanted to wipe the tears off their fans’ faces.

On the behalf of all 7 members, Hangeng clarified that they had missed their plane to Hong Kong after a four-hour rush from Wenzhou to Wuxi, resulting in their inability to walk on the red carpet before the ceremony.

Many fans that did not have tickets waited outside the area just to catch a glimpse of their idols, but due to SJ-M’s no-show, cried because of their immense disappointment. After presenting their award, SJ-M promised that they would wipe the tears off their fans’ faces, and definitely have better arrangements the next time round.

When asked about the earthquake (a minor one had struck during the ceremony itself), Hangeng said that none of them had noticed it, realizing that one had struck only after a backstage worker informed them of it.

Hangeng also commented that if the fans strongly want it, SJ-M will hold a concert in Taiwan next year if there are opportunities to do so, and additional days added to the concert if it happens, will also be possible.


I think they had to switch flights to Taiwan from Hong Kong or something. It's been hard on them and the fans, because they seem to be rushing everywhere these days

Singer Speedmotion revealed his friend, Big Bang's T.O.P's habits when he gets drunk.

On Star Golden Bell today he said, "During his rookie days, we went out to drink together. After we drank, we went to a convenience store. T.O.P. took an ice cream without paying for it and started eating it in there. I told him to stop and he turned to the cashier and said 'Cashier! I'm Big Bang!' He has a lot of aegyo when he's drunk. Even from my point of view, it's cute."

He even said Big Bang in the tone that the members use when they introduce themselves. Didn't know T.O.P. of all people had a cute side to him.
