Former Fly to the Sky member Hwanhee is set to release a new track and it's a duet with Secret member Song Ji Eun.

Earlier it was revealed that Hwanhee would be collaborating with Secret's Song Ji Eun on a new single and that the teaser had already been released on Gom TV.

The song, "Yesterday", is a ballad and although the teaser only features Hwanhee's voice, it's looking very good so far. I personally think Ji Eun has a pretty competent voice and I can imagine Hwanhee's voice blending nicely with hers.

It hasn't been confirmed yet but according to the YouTube page the teaser is on, the single is set for a December 15 release.

SHINee's Key reflects on his worst stage mistakes. At the latest "Sang Sang Plus" recording, SNSD and SHINee members were featured.

Key's first mistake comes in the second performance of "Noona Is So Pretty (Replay)." None of the members were quite used to performing in music shows yet, so they were still nervous and were very concentrated on each move.

As part of the choreography, Key had to hold Taemin's mic for a while. After Taemin's dance solo Key tried to give the mic back to him but was off timing. Key eventually had to hold two mics until the song ended. Taemin still managed to finish the performance pretending to hold a mic until the end of the performance.

Replay Performance for reference )

The second mistake happened a year ago, during a goodbye stage. When the last song started, fancy firecrackers popped on stage and Key, who was in the front to get ready to sing his part, accidentally inhaled gas.

In order to perform the song he put on a bright face and tried to sing, albeit being unable to breathe. His singing made him sound like he was crying and many fans thought he was holding in his tears because it was his last performance.

A.MI.GO Performance for reference )

This broadcast will air on December 8th at 11:05 PM.

Old photo, don't think yesterday's fan meet photos are out yet

Korean boyband Super Junior-M held their second fan meet on the 6th, at the Taipei International Convention Centre. After last night when Donghae hugged a fan from the back, Kyuhyun unleashed his ultimate move: when playing games with the fans, he piggybacked the fan assigned to him, eliciting screams and laughs from all the fans present.

Before performing [童話 Fairytale], Kyuhyun thanked the fans for all of their support, and actually cried while doing so. The fans then shouted “Jiayou!” in support of their idol.

After the fan meet, SJ-M proceeded to Tai Hou Dien for mala hotpot, and the entire basement was booked for them. The fans on the other hand, had already reserved the upper levels, and SJ-M’s manager even treated them to drinks.

Tonight, SJ-M will guest on Chungtian’s [全民最大黨 The Biggest Political Party], and face off with their parody counterparts “Super Juni-er” for the very first time. Lots of laughs are expected for this particular recording, so fans can anticipate their performance on the show.

In case you don't know who Super Juni-er are (horribly hilarious):

So the rumor was true all along... DSP has just released an official statement regarding the disbandment of their multinational boy group, A'ST1 (pronounced A-Style, although it doesn't really matter any more...).

A representative stated through a phone interview with the Starnews on the 6th,
"A'ST1 has recently been disbanded. The members are now going on their own ways."

However, the representative avoided to speak of the specific reason why the group has separated.

Goodbye to those six stars - Haiming, In Kyu, Han Byul, Jung Jin, Jang Moon, and Tomo. We will never forget your Dynamite legacy.

Yes, that's right. SS501's quirky leader Kim Hyun Joong got pwned by fans while he was playing a few rounds of Starcraft games against his fans on Battle.net.

For those of you people who haven't heard of Starcraft, it's an immensely popular science-fiction real time strategy video game developed by Bilzzard Entertainment. Players can choose to either play the single player version, which is a very extensive and well-written story mode, or the multi-player version, where the player can interact with and duke it out against other players by choosing one of three races (Zerg, Protoss, or Terran) to play as on Battle.net's Starcraft server.

Starcraft was huge in Korea and there were professional gaming leagues with some professional gamers making incomes in the 6 figures. Games are routinely televised on dedicated gaming stations and as many as 120,000 fans turned out to watch a finals game in one of the leagues in 2005. The Starcraft craze has died down somewhat, but it's still a popular game.

Let me put my Terran in your Protoss and we can make some Zergs. )

Almost two in every 10 women suffer from undernourishment, with intentional starvation being the main cause, according to the latest survey by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs.

A prime example of this phenomenon is 30-year-old Cho, who, by her own admission, has tried almost every diet regiment that has hit the market since she turned 20.

"
You name it. I've done it. From eating only one type of food such as bananas to the Danish macrobiotic diet, I have tried them all," said Cho. "Some worked but some didn't. The bottom line is that you should not eat."

Cho is not alone in believing firmly that not eating is the best method to shed pounds or remain slim. The 21st century has become the age of "Looks are everything" and "Being slim is the proof of beauty." The statistics support this ideology.

Super Junior-M (SJ-M) arrived on Dec. 4 for their fan meetings. Donghae bravely showed off that he likes (loves) Ariel! He frankly said that he likes women with beautiful foreheads, and Ariel – with whom he’s worked before in an MV – fully meets his ideal. But co-member Siwon revealed that Ryeowook also likes Ariel and frequently watches her TV series. Faced with a rival, Donghae was very jealous.Oh.. so Donghae likes nice foreheads too? )

KBS’s hit spy drama IRIS has found itself entangled in plagiarism charges. On December 7, novelist Park Chul-joo filed a suit with Seoul Central District Court accusing the drama’s production company of ripping off his spy novel The Sun Doesn’t Rise on Mt. Fuji.

In his complaint, writer Park asserted that the drama takes the story, situations, and developments from his own book: “The drama IRIS heavily plagiarized my novel in over 162 instances. I have suffered severe mental distress, and I’ve also suffered financial losses, as I have had to give up the chance to produce the book as my own drama.” Included in the allegedly plagiarized points are: the threat of nuclear explosion in the middle of the city, the hero’s confrontation with the North Korean female spy, and the fact that the North Korean spy falls for the hero who treated her injuries.

According to Yonhap News, the production company refuted the claims, saying, “The plot may be similar, but it is not plagiarism.”

Often I think these plagiarism claims are cases of unfortunate coincidences — you can’t own an idea, after all. But these do sound like pretty specific points, although without having read the book, it’s hard to say…

The Joongang Ilbo takes a lengthy look at the perceived need for improved sex education in the wake of the Na-yeong incident. An excerpt:
At the very least, it’s clear that there is a severe lack of sex education in the educational system across Korea. In fact, sex education here more or less remains stuck in the 1980s, as students often receive just an overview of the subject through simple cartoons that rely heavily on metaphors.

“All I remember about sex education is a videotape that showed a swarm of bees carrying pollen. That’s the only sex education I got from school,” recalled 35-year-old Choi Yu-jeong, a graphic designer living in northern Seoul, who attended middle school here in the late 1980s.

Fast forward to 2009, and things aren’t much different despite rapid changes in almost every other aspect of society.

Videos that teach through metaphors are still used by health teachers, and many students find them boring and useless. According to a survey conducted by the Aha Sexuality Education and Counseling Center for Youth in 2007, 43.8 percent of teenagers said the sex education they received from schools was neither helpful nor practical.
