SM to remake DBSK's contract and possibly other SM artists' too

SM Entertainment CEO's Kim Young Min, who is involved in the ‘unfair contract’ dispute with his artistes, has recently announced a new contract policy, and that it will be put into action once it gets approved by the related authorities.

SM Entertainment Representative, Kim Young Min, who attended the press conference which was held on the 2nd of November 2009 at 63 Tower, has expressed, “We would collect all comments from music and entertainment industries, related government departments, cultural and tourism board, fair trade departments, educational circles and legislative bodies, based on the law to adjudicate a new contract policy. After the approval from the respective authorities, we would then put it into action. Then follow it (new contract policy) enthusiastically.”

Kim agreed, “If we are able to come out with a new exclusive contract policy based on the law, SM would like to re-contract with all current artistes based on it.”

Kim also expressed, “Under the new exclusive contract, the moment it’s signed it would be protected till the contract ended, if not the current situation would repeat over and over again in the future.”

“In order to prove that what have just I said is nothing but the truth, we would first like to take the advice from the impartial committee,” he said.

But, everyone was not able to fully believe this announcement by SM Entertainment. Professor Lee from Korea Art University stated, “If SM do not wish to have what they have just said to turned into nothing, then they should assure them.” He continued, “Based on what SM have said, they do not wish to fully take on the advice from the impartial committee, but to forcefully come out with a new contract policy, which was questionable (their announcement).” Professor Lee ended, “If SM was really sincere about this, they should work on the new contract based on the advice and not vice versa, and then to get it approved by the representative authorities.”

20 year old gay young men will be the main character in the film "Just Friends??"

The teaser videos are a big issue and are being opposed by many people.

Teaser videos were said to be provocative and inappropriate with sexual scenes.

"Just Friends??" will be about 20 year old gay youths who will express their love for one another.

It will be released [in theaters] this December 17th!

Beast's fanclub has chosen its official name

BEAST may be one of the new boy bands on the block, but with their rising popularity, it's no surprise that these boys have already earned their fan club a name. It's only been a few weeks and these boys have been promoting their debut single Bad Girl with great fervor, reeling in quite a fanbase for themselves.

Most established groups never fail to thank their fans for completing them. In BEAST's case, the fans not only make the group feel whole and loved, but their fan club name totally completes their group name as well. Fans of this boy group can now call themselves proud "Beauty." Beauty and the Beast! Get it, get it?

While I'm not sure how guy fans feel about this name, girls must feel quite flattered with such a lovely name. Congrats to BEAST for keeping up their charismatic performances and let's hope that the group and their beauties will live happily ever after spend many years supporting each other.

You're Beautiful's Pig-Rabbit for sale!

If you were charmed by the “Pig-Rabbit” stuffed animal that was featured prominently in this week’s episodes of You’re Beautiful, you’re not the only one: the production company has been flooded with inquiries about it. One source explains, “The phone won’t stop ringing with questions regarding the Pig-Rabbit. With the fans requesting merchandise of the A.N.JELL cut-outs [pogs] and the Pig-Rabbit, we have looked into it and plan to begin production soon.”

In case you’re behind on the drama, “Pig-Rabbit” arose out of a nickname that Jang Geun-seok’s character had for Park Shin-hye; the plush version was created when he cannibalized two stuffed animals in Episode 9 to produce a bunny with a pig snout. (As you can see, it sure made her happy.)

The stuffed animal was also featured in Episode 10 as he continued talking (and venting) to the doll. The cartoonized A.N.JELL figures (pogs and stickers), which were used as a plot point, also got fans talking.

Meanwhile, the drama finally broke 10% ratings with the last episode; its 10.0% (via TNS ratings; AGB’s give 10.8%) held up against IRIS’s 30.9%.

TOP and Kwon Sang-woo take over “71″

The movie 71 had first caught my interest for starring young actors Kim Bum and Yoo Seung-ho as student soldiers in wartime, but problems arose when the movie encountered budget issues and the like. The stars dropped out and the production halted for an extended period. Now, the project has changed production companies and been revived with a new title and new stars: TOP and Kwon Sang-woo will be meeting onscreen as the two leads of Into the Gunfire [포화 속으로].

The old title referred to a real incident during the Korean war when North Korean soldiers had invaded and 71 South Korean students had banded together to defend their home (in Pohang, Gyeongsang-do). Kim Bum’s former character had risen to lead the students in the pivotal battle.

With this new casting, Kwon Sang-woo plays a man who enlists in the military after being suspected in a murder and volunteers for the student forces; TOP plays another, more junior student soldier. Actors Cha Seung-won (City Hall) and Kim Seung-woo (IRIS) are in contention for other roles: Cha as a North Korean officer and Kim as a lieutenant leading the 71 young soldiers. Directing is Lee Jae-hwan of A Moment to Remember and writing is Lee Man-hee of A Turtle Runs.

(I’ve made the joke before, but this time I’m honestly perplexed: Does Kwon Sang-woo really not know what his image and/or generation is? I’m not saying that a man can’t take leading roles with younger actors, because Kwon can totally still do the sexy leading man thing. But the role in question is of a student and had previously been filled by Kim Bum — thirteen years younger is a big leap, even if the character has been tweaked. I’m puzzled.)

The film will begin shooting at the end of November or early December, and plans for a mid-2010 release.

Rain’s body before and after Ninja Assassin

Rain revealed some pictures of his abs before and after getting ripped for Ninja Assassin, his upcoming Hollywood movie, and the difference is pretty significant.

In the before picture, the singer-actor's well-known six pack is nowhere to be seen. Then there's a picture of him after working out for some time and his muscles seem to be developing. The final picture blew me away; all I could see were his intense guns and visible six pack abs! (lol riveting)

I always thought Rain was one of those ridiculously muscular guys but this just shows how hard he worked for his movie.

His strong will has definitely got him far in his career. Who's excited for Ninja Assassin?

Real heart beats, Real narrations



Starting from 3 PM, the members of 2PM released their individual teasers in pairs with the sound of a heart beat.

In the video, the members have their eyes closed and slowly open them as the camera slowly moves towards the chest until it reaches their heart. The heart rate graph is then flashed in the end. The teasers end with a topic that each individual member has chosen, finishing off with the question 'What is your heart beating for?'

The surprising fact is that the actual heart beat sounds and the members' narrations, even the heart rate graphs, are all real.

The heart beat sound that each teaser sounds is the real sound of their individual heart beats, recorded especially for the teaser.

Even the narration is said to be thought up by the members themselves after 2 weeks of planning in an effort to deliver their true feelings and thoughts.

A JYPE representative stated "The teasers released are for the title track to be released on the 10th. The title track is a new style that has never been heard of before."

2PM's title track and first official album will be released on the 10th online.
