The future of idol group DBSK is uncertain. DBSK’s 3 members (Micky YooChun, Xiah Junsu, Youngwoong Jaejoong) and SM’s trouble is too deep. Although they state that there will be no disbandment, in reality, disbandment is more than likely. Even if they avoid the worst case scenario, disbandment, it feels like their departure of SM is set.

On the third, a acquaintance of the 3 members said, “settlement with SM has been tried multiple times. But their differences couldn’t be settled. The reason this went to court is because they couldn’t find a point to settle.” Thus, they concluded that more attempts for negotiations was useless.

The acquaintance that the reporter met is someone who has watched over DBSK very closely. He has experienced all ups and downs since debut until now. According to him, DBSK advocated for only one thing. They wanted conditions of the contract to be eased. However, it has gotten to a point where the conversations between the two parties have gone nowhere.

He stated, “they asked for the contract term and earnings distribution to be revised because everyone could tell it was irrational. They attempted to negotiate until the end but they felt that SM was avoiding them. Therefore, things got emotional for both parties and the 3 members are even more angry with SM’s response.”

Female group Brown Eyed Girls coming back with their 3rd album speaks highly of their juniors 2NE1.

In a recent interview, they said, “2NE1 are a group of capable girls and they appeal to us. When we look at ourselves when we were still newcomers, we must have appeared more nervous than enjoying ourselves, but 2NE1 looks like they are enjoying themselves even though they may be nervous inside, and that side of them is good.”

Member Narsha also said, “Even though these friends are young, they are able to pull off their song with their own charms and capabilities. They also have their individuality and their own talents. Looking at them makes me look forward to their next performance.”

Fourth Period Murder Mystery unveils official posters

Real-time mystery-thriller Fourth Period Murder Mystery [4교시 추리영역] will be releasing in theaters soon, and here are its official posters, featuring teenage heartthrob Yoo Seung-ho (Legend, Queen Seon-deok) and new actress Kang So-ra.

Yoo Seung-ho’s only 15 years old (he turns 16 in two weeks), but already he’s built up his filmography and commands screen presence; they don’t call him Little So Ji-sub for nothing. In fact, he and So Ji-sub — who previously appeared in an MV together — will be duking it out at the box office once So’s new movie comes out the following week. His romantic comedy collaboration with a Chinese production stars Zhang Ziyi and is titled Sophie’s Love Manual [소피의 연애 매뉴얼].

In Fourth Period Murder Mystery, Yoo Seung-ho is on the run to clear his name when a dead body is found at his high school. With the help of a classmate (Kang So-ra), the two race the clock to uncover the mystery before the end of fourth period. The movie opens on August 13.

Actors Hwang Jung Min, Cha Seung Won, Han Ji Hye, and Baek Sung Hyun will join director Lee Jun Ik of King and the Clown in his third historical production – Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds (구르믈 버서난 달처럼).



Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds is being adapted into an action film from a three-book Korean manga series by Park Heung Yong. It was awarded the Republic of Korea Cartoon Culture Literary Prize by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and in 2005, translated into English by Steven D. Capener. The story is set at the end of the 16th century’s Joseon Dynasty, following Japan’s invasion of Korea.

Background info on the project: Hollywood’s most recognizable stars have joined MEAN’s Cinemash, an eye-catching video project created by MEAN magazine. MEAN’s Cinemash recreates scenes from prominent films – ranging from cult classics to Oscar winners, all with eyebrow-raising casts.

Of course the only reason this doesn't totally suck is that there is barely any deviation from the source material at all, save for the use of the AIG executives. I do wish Milos' wig was a little more frizzy, as that deep conditioning treatment is towards the end of the movie... but that's just me splitting hairs.

SNSD in Car Accident

SNSD / Girls' Genreation was in a minor fender bender last night after the filming for MBC's FM4U.

SM entertainment released a statement saying that after the SNSD members finished filming, they left the studio in two separate cars towards Gangnam (where they are currently staying). On route, one of the cars merged into an adjacent car on Olympic Road. Thankfully, no members were hurt, but Hyoyeon had to go to the hospital to be treated for shock.

SM later clarified the situation and released a few details. "It was a merge accident, so there was no major damage. No one was seriously injured, but Hyoyeon was riding behind the passenger seat, and hit her head on the passenger seat headrest. She is currently in the hospital for a checkup."

Thankfully no one was hurt. Hopefully Hyoyeon has no injuries and will be ready to go for Sunday's Inkigayo Special Stage. The only thing to worry about at this point is the health of the driver. Father SM will not be pleased with him. I mean, his only job is to drive safely, and he screwed up. Not only did he screw up, but he screwed up while he was driving beautiful super idols in his car. Let's just hope he doesn't end up on the news next week.

Known to be banned from broadcast because of the lascivious lyrics in her songs, uljjang rapper E.via (Lee OkJoo) will have her album amended and will comeback as a singer again.

E.via released the re-recording of her album ‘Hey!’ on 4th August and will release the remix album again for comeback. Her comeback will include a new song ‘Until I get crazy’.

The MV for ‘Hey!’ will engage the same lights and filming team for 2NE1’s ‘Lollipop’ CF.

yunho continues to work hard for drama

TVXQ's U-Know Yunho has been attracting attention by continuing on with filming for his drama even though the future of his group might be at stake.

U-Know Yunho was cast for his acting debut on MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Heading to the Ground' (Director Park Sungsoo, Writers Kim Solji, Kim Yehji) and began filming on the 28th last month.

During the past week, TVXQ's members YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu filed for a Exclusive Contract Validity Suspension and Provisional Disposition Request against SM Entertainment and the rift between the two sides have gotten deeper as time passes. However, this has not stopped U-Know Yunho from taking his lead role seriously and contunuing with the filming for the drama.
