Gagman Park Myung Soo will comeback as a singer releasing a new album after 1 year.

It is know that he has started the preparation of this new album starting of this year. His company revealed, “We have been contacted by music producers these few months, and we have been listening to great music demos, but we still have not decided on what songs to release.”

The album will come out as early as in June. But nothing has been very much confirmed as of now – songs to include in the album and when the album will be released.

All this while, Park has been busy with his broadcast schedules. He last released his 4th album last year.

1 month into debut, band Mate is #1 on popularity chart for rock music

New comer band Mate has proved to be popular amongst rock music fans just 1 month into their debut.

Currently promoting the song ‘Longing’, the group released their 1st album ‘be Mate‘ in April. They were one of the most searched keywords on portal sites after their music were aired on radio.

They also received much attention after having appeared on several radio shows like ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Radio Paradise’, ‘Bae Chul Soo’s music camp’ and ‘Sweet Sorrow’s TenTen Club’.

'NK Preparing for Long-Range Missile Test'

North Korea appears to be preparing for a long-range missile test, defying the U.N. Security Council whose members are negotiating a resolution to punish it for its recent nuclear test, Yonhap News Agency reported Saturday, quoting an informed intelligence source.

The source, asking not to be identified, said an object that appeared to be an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was recently spotted on a cargo train at an artillery research center near Pyongyang, the North Korean capital.

"We believe that the object is certainly an ICBM," said the official, adding that its size is somewhat similar to the one the North fired into the Pacific on April 5.

North Korea is believed to have started moving the object to a missile launch pad in Musudan-ri on the country's east coast, according to the official.

"The missile may be a modified version of a Taepodong-2 missile, which can travel over 4,000 km," the official said. A Taepodong-2 missile is theoretically capable of reaching the western U.S."

"It usually takes about two months to set up a launch pad, but the process could be done in as little as two weeks, which means the North could launch a long-range missile as early as mid-June," the source said.

The developments of what appears to be preparations for a missile launch follow Monday's nuclear test, which drew the international community's condemnation against North Korea. The test came less than two months after it fired a rocket that the U.S. and its allies say was a disguised form of an intercontinental ballistic missile.

The remarks came shortly after a South Korean defense source in Singapore said some activities were spotted at a North Korean munitions factory used to build long-range missiles.

Some watchers speculate that North Korea may launch a missile at a time close to a summit set for June 16 between South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and his U.S. counterpart, Barack Obama.

"There is a possibility that North Korea may push the 'fire' button right before or after the South Korea-U.S. summit," said a key diplomatic official at the presidential office, requesting to be unnamed.

Kim Beom Leads a New Generation of Hallyu

Actor Kim Beom of the “Boys of Flowers” fame is emerging as a new Hallyu star. His new film “Flight (Korean title Bisang)” has been sold to Japan even before the filming began. Japanese investors, Glory Entertainment and World Apple Corp., purchased the rights to the film’s theater presentation, DVD, and merchandising rights, demonstrating their affection and trust for the young actor. In addition to the film, Kim’s new drama, “Dream,” to be aired later this year has also been sold to Japan, as well as TV shows and movies he formerly appeared in.

If Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo represented the first generation of Hallyu, Kim Beom is expected to lead the second wave of Korean pop culture in Japan. While the fans of the first Hallyu generation consist largely of homemakers in their 30s and 40s, those for Kim are much younger, from teenagers to women in their 20s.

Kim’s new film “Flight” is about the emotional conflicts experienced during adolescent years. The film is expected to generate positive feedback from Japan, given that it talks about common concerns of young people everywhere. “Flight” is due for release later this year.

No “Hype Nation” for Son Dam-bi

Son Dam-bi has been on the up and up with hits like “Crazy” and “Saturday Night.”

Ever since she came into the limelight, the fact that she was cast for a Hollywood dance flick called “Hype Nation” and how this would be her big break in America have always been a tag on for press about her “success.” However, production has been continually postponed and Dam-bi’s role in “Hype Nation” slowly diminished out of everyone’s minds. So it isn’t a big surprise that Sony Music Group has just announced that they decided to pull her out of the project to focus on her activities in Korea. Not a bad move considering that the Hollywood movie would have probably tank anyway, and no one in America would take Son Dam-bi’s dancing seriously. Yet if you are still hankering for some acting from Son Dam-bi, she is slated to star in the upcoming SBS fall drama “Dream,” alongside Kim Bum, Joo Jin-mo, and WGM hubby Marco.

The wannabe sultry R&B singer may sing often about romantic heart break, but right now, Hwayobi is experiencing anything but tragic romance with her beau Sleepy from “Untouchables.”

Hwayobi has recently participated in the project album “2009 No. 1 Diva’s Love” with the song “Once,” where her lover Sleepy wrote the lyrics. The music video is out, and showcases pretty newbie actress Lee Chae-young as the main star that gets her heart trampled by a love she can’t forget.

Hwayobi seventh album will begin production in June, and instead of her signature R&B style, she says she is opting for something more upbeat and fast tempo.

JACKY CHEUNG IN MY OMONA!?! : Taeyang's "Prayer" actually a sample

It seems that Taeyang's "Prayer" is in fact a sample of Chinese music artist, Jacky Cheung's "Cry." Once you hear the original, it's almost funny because it literally sounds like it was chewed up in the 80's and spit back out out in 2008! The opening sounds exactly the same and the chorus' are very similar, except for the difference in tempo.

You can never fault the artists for these kinds of things, just their companies. And even though it's obvious that my opinion is insanely bias, Taeyang's version is better. If not because "Prayer" is more catchy, but merely because Taeyang had his shirt off for half the video and... and... well I think that's good enough reason, don't you?

Piano Man Yoonha Hwang covers Super Junior’s It’s You

Korean pianist Yoonha Hwang aka Yoonha85 on youtube is getting a lot of attention with his piano covers of famous KPOP songs. The most recent being Super Junior's "It's You." This particular video was the most discussed video on Youtube Korea yesterday.

Yoonha seems to be a very talented with the piano and even looks a bit like the famous Korean pianist / composer Yiruma. It's always cool to see KPOP music being covered in various ways, and I think Yoonha's piano covers sound awesome. Check out his facebook, Thanks to linda for the tip.

2PM to make special appearance on MBC ‘Infinite Challenge’ for the 2nd time

2PM will make their 2nd special appearance on MBC ‘Infinite Challenge’.

They did the filming with the members of ‘Infinite Challenge’ in a village in KangHwaDo on 28th May.

They previously made a special appearance on the show aired on 16th May for ‘Park Myung Soo’s surprise attack’ which was said to be a funny episode by viewers.

2PM has received much acknowledgement for their funny and informal sides in spite of the fact that they are idol group members.

There has been news that leader JaeBum is working with the PD of ‘Infinite Challenge’ for ‘Infinite Challenge – Scout for talent man project’.

Meanwhile, the boys’ hit song ‘Again & Again’ is doing very well on music charts and programmes.

Park Bom mentioned during the recent interview with Asia Economic News, “CL is the best one in rapping and Minji is the best one in dancing, while my charm is this unique vocal. In order to make everyone falling into my charm, I will work harder to develop my charm.”

Increase their familiarity with the public through newspapers and such, that’s their third project, and how this third project of “Female Big Bang” 2NE1 came to be.

They had already participated in an advertisement for a large enterprise together with ‘oppa group’ Big Bang, and ensured their popularity through the CM song ‘Lollipop’ (the first project), and after they had successfully had their TV debut stage through the SBS Inkigayo on 17th (the second project) they chose to give interviews as the third project.

During the interviews, they have presented a better command of speech compared to the other peer girl groups by explaining their identity and such with a calmer tone.

After the airing of the 4 weekly music programmes have been put on hold in grieving of the late former President Roh, the action is back on today with Music Core.

We have the comeback stage by Lee Jung Hyun, and also the postponed goodbye remix stage by Son DamBi. Other than that, we have new song performances like AJ’s ‘Wipe The Tears’ and Han Una’s ‘Mannequine’.
