Newcomer group 2NE1 has been #1 on illegal music download sites for 2nd week consecutively.
On illegal music download sites P2P and Webhard and also several other cafe sites, 2NE1’s debut song ‘Fire’ is #1 for the 2nd week taking up 24% of illegal music download contents.
This group has been famous even before their debut with their hit CM song ‘Lollipop’ and their nickname as the ‘female Big Bang‘. Even though this does show the group and the song popularity, it certainly have some harms on the legal single downloads. This also points to the need of more copyright controls on music content.

Aww, I wish them all the best.

As many of you have read earlier about Paran fans being angry as new solo singer AJ bears the same name as Paran’s youngest member AJ.
Solo singer AJ’s company came out to explain that the meaning to the name is different, but the matter continue when the Paran fans were said to have uploaded badly-photoshopped photos of AJ, and Paran AJ himself apparently also referred to solo singer AJ as ‘Fake AJ’ on his minihompy.
The supposedly true photos and printscreens.
Paran AJ’s blog entry on his minihompy, written in English, he was said to have referred to AJ as the ‘Fake AJ‘.

( fallow the cut to insanity )
Netisens’ say:
* “But still, Paran is still active. This is not right”
* “So what should Backstreet Boys AJ fans do then?”
* “I mean it is alright to have same names right?”
* Reply to above, “But look at the case of 2NE1… kkkkk”
* “Can this just a form of noise marketing?”
* “Paran fans… really overdid it”
* Reply to above, “This is not the doing of the Paran fans. We don’t know who did these”
* “But then again, who will do this other than Paran fans?”

North Korea detonates nuclear bomb
2009-05-24 10:51 pm
By North Asia correspondent Mark Willacy and wires
North Korea's state media has confirmed the communist state has conducted a nuclear weapons test.
It is believed the blast was much stronger than Pyongyang's first test in 2006.
South Korea says weather agency officials detected what they called an artificial earthquake in the communist North this morning.
The government in Seoul immediately accused North Korea of conducting a nuclear weapons test.
Two hours later the secretive communist regime confirmed via its state media that it had detonated a nuclear device, saying the underground test was successful and was part of the country's nuclear deterrent policy.
In response, South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak called an emergency national security council meeting, while Japan's government said it had set up a crisis task force.
The Stalinist North last staged a nuclear test in October 2006 but it is believed this blast was much bigger.

Big Bang Duo Star in Murder Movie
2009-05-24 11:07 pm
Two members of the boy band Big Bang have been cast in the TV movie "19".
This isn’t the first time the two Big Bang members have been on screen. T.O.P., the oldest in the band, debuted in the 2007 KBS-TV drama "I Am Sam" and is currently shooting KBS-TV’s "Iris". Seungri, the youngest in the group, was the main character in the musical "Sonagi" last year. He also appeared in "Why Did You Come To My House", a movie starring Kang Hye-jung released last month.
19, a movie with stories by Japanese writers filmed by Korean directors, talks about three 19-year-olds involved in a murder. The singers will be playing the young students along with Korean actress Heo Yi-jae.
But acting isn’t the only thing that T.O.P. and Seungri have been working on for this movie. According to the film’s director, Jang Yong-woo, the two young men have each written songs for the soundtrack as well. Both of them performed their songs on the stage Wednesday, T.O.P., a rap song, while Seungri, a sad ballad.
The movie will be airing on Korea’s SBS-TV and Japan’s Asahi-TV this September.

Korea's top ballad singers Lena Park (a.k.a. Park Jung-hyun) and Wheesung were selected to represent Korea at the Global Pop Concert to be held on June 19 at the Walt Disney Hall in the U.S.
The Los Angeles County Music Center has invited Park and Wheesung for their exceptional musical talents and popularity in Korea. A representative of Park reported that she had received invitation two months ago and has already toured the concert venue a few days ago. She is reportedly very excited to get a chance to perform in a first-class performance hall and is in the process of coming up with a repertoire that can best demonstrate her musical personality.
Park already has a following in America formed after singing the title song of a Disney animation film, 'Mulan', in 1998. Wheesung has gained attention from the American music scene after he sang the Korean version of Craig David's 'Insomnia'. The two musicians plan to sing about ten songs each at the concert.
