Kim Hyun Joo & Lee Dong Wook Partner Up

Kim Hyun Joo and Lee Dong Wook have been cast in Partner, an upcoming KBS legal drama. The show will explore the true nature of humans and seeks to give a realistic portrayal of the Korean legal system and courts.

Kim Hyun Joo stars as Kang Eun Ho, an ajumma – (KP’s note: Who the heck sees Kim Hyun Joo as an ajumma?) – who is belatedly embarking on a career in law. After undergoing all sorts of hardship, she is hired as an attorney at a small law firm in Seoul called Lee Kim. Lee Dong Wook plays Lee Tae Jo, a [seemingly] cold-hearted and snobby attorney at the same firm. Eun Ho and Tae Jo are assigned as partners, but clash due to opposing views – hers being that lawyers “speak up on behalf of those who are victimized” and his being that they’re “just legal businessmen”.

Partner is a 16-episode series to be broadcast starting June 24, following the end of The Accidental Couple. It was moved up ahead of schedule due to legal complications with KBS’s intended Wednesday-Thursday program for summer, Magazine Allo.

The group that is known as the 'hottest rookies' in the music world today, 2NE1 has had the debut stage. But, even though the girls have been music fans' biggest object of interest, there also have been hurtful comments and rumours surrounding them from their team name to their popularity even before their official debut.

2NE1 members have had an interview with 'My Daily' and have spoken up about the rumours that have been going around the internet. Even though these rumours are hurtful, the members answered 'coolly' without hesitation.

Wonder Girls shirt at Forever 21?

Have you always wanted a shirt with the Wonder Girls on it but didn't want to have to pay $30 + I'm sure to order it off the internet? Then take yourself down to your local Forever 21 and pick one up!

Even though the shirt looks exactly like very strongly resembles the Wonder Girls...it's not listed with all the other licensed shirts as such. Instead, the shirt is titled "Window Shopping Tank" in the products info, with no mention of the Girls at all... but I'll let you be the judge. And plus, I'm sure we all can recognize the notorious "Nobody" outfit that Ye Eun is wearing on the left with So Hee on the right, donning the same exact shirt she's worn in real life.

Wonder Girls or extreme, ridiculous, unearthly coincidence?

T-money card issuers have signed with Korea Smart Card and Etude House's Lee Min-ho (from Boys Before Flowers fame) to design a special Limited Edition card. What kind of card would that be you might ask? Well, Lee Min-ho's handsome face on the card, what else!

The T-money cards can be used as payment and transportation cards in Korea. T-money card payment service partners with Etude House to celebrate its 1 million production on May 1st. It is hoped that this special limited edition Lee Min-ho Etude House T-money cards will entice women to get the card. It's a marketing strategy...that i think would certainly work! If i were in Korea, i would definitely want that Min-ho T-money card! GIMME THAT CARD!

Han Eun Jung to wear a 2.1 billion Won wedding dress

On May 26, at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hannam-dong, Seoul, Han Eun Jung will be wearing this 2.1 billion Won wedding dress (that has a 1.7 billion worth of diamonds on it) for a wedding show, “Parade of Nations” jewelry show. “Parade of Nations” is a celebrity fund-raising event, helf by the wives of Koreans ambassadors. The fund is dedicated to support the disabled young boys and girls. Politicians, businessmen, as well as artists and women CEO will be appear on the stage at the venue.

Son Dambi ain't amused.

In lieu of the death of South Korea’s form president Roh Moo Hyun, MBC Music Core and SBS Inkigayo were cancelled. There are also news that there will be no M!Countdown on Mnet on 28th May.

This seems to have some effect on the Kpop realm as the singers will take these stages as chances for them to show their songs and dances – plans for some comeback and goodbye stages are also altered.

Popular idol group Big Bang has received misunderstanding about them releasing a new song.

On the day of the release of their CF song ‘젊은 그대 (Youthful You)’ for Cafe Latte, the song was one of the top searches on search portal sites as fans misunderstood the song as a new song release from the group. And with the great interests coming from fans, the official Cafe Latte website was down due to overwhelming traffic.

Park Hye Jin and Park Shi Yeon said to be new Family Outing members

PLS TAKE THIS WITH A PINCH OF SALT as it's not for sure that Chun Hee and Yejin are leaving

PD Jang Hyeok Jae just announced the two new members to replace Park Hye Jin and Lee Chun Hee. According to him, it’s not his intention to ‘kick out’ Park Hye Jin and Lee Chun Hee, but because they both have their own schedule to fulfill, he has no choice but to find two other replacement members. But they are still continuing with the discussion.

And he commented again that to decide the two new members are still to early at this stage, but they’re likely looking into two actors, whose faces are very familiar to us viewers. He added, “the deal has not been confirmed yet.” He also thinks that the two new members are a great pick.

He also added that it’s difficult to confirm everything right now but they know that Park Hye Jin and Lee Chun Hee might only make it by the end of the week. And then they have to welcome the new members, Park Hae Jin and Park Shi Yeon (the “Park” couple) to replace their position.

1TYM’s Teddy rejects offer to work with Lady Gaga for 2NE1

It has been disclosed that Teddy, originally a member of hip-hop group 1TYM and now an active producer, rejected an offer to work with Lady Gaga, a pop-singer who is gaining the most popularity in the United States today.

Yang Hyun Suk, the president of YG Entertainment in which Teddy and 2NE1 are affiliated with, revealed, “A few months ago, Teddy and I attended a meeting with Jimmy Iovine, the representative of Interscope,” and, “After listening to songs that Teddy produced, Iovine asked if Teddy could produce a song for Lady Gaga.”

Interscope, composed of Lady Gaga as well as Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, and a great number of popular artists, is the biggest entertainment company in the United States.

Additionally, Yang Hyun Suk said, “However, at that time Teddy could only reject the offer to work with Lady Gaga because he was working on 2NE1’s debut album,” and “Because he rejected all outside offers and focused more on 2NE1’s album, we could see good results.”

Teddy produced various hit songs such as TaeYang’s ‘Look at Only Me,’ Uhm JungHwa’s ‘Disco,’ and Big Bang’s ‘Sunset Glow’ last year and ‘Lollipop,’ which swept up all 1st places on music charts without any special broadcast activities, recently. His skills have surfaced once again with 2NE1’s debut song, ‘Fire,’ which he produced and is gathering attention by taking 1st places on music ranks

Members of boy band BIGBANG flexed their acting chops on set last Wednesday.

On the last day of filming for their forthcoming telefilm, "19," T.O.P and Seung-ri took turns channeling teen angst; smoke swirling, rap pounding through the speakers.

One out of a series of eight feature-length dramas produced by Samhwa Networks under the overarching title, "Telecinema," "19" charts the growing pains of a trio of 19-year olds. The plot reads like your typical teen flick - a group of kids on the cusp of adulthood get implicated in a murder case and run away.

AJ Gets a Kiss from Min Hyo Rin

AJ, the Dancing shoes rookie received a kiss from actress Min Hyo Rin... unfortunately for AJ, it was only acting.

Sunkist has a new product out called Cherryade and they've recruited both AJ and Min Hyo Rin to endorse this new drink. They recently filmed the cute little CF (Commercial Film) together and it's just airing in Korea now. At around :15 seconds into the CF, the 23 year old Min Hyo Rin gives a surprise kiss to 19 year old AJ. Right after the kiss, at the end of the CF, AJ has huge smirk on his face, while Min Hyo Rin gives a wink and bobs her head around. Maybe this will spark some interest into AJ and gives him the push he needs to be a star... or maybe not.

[NEWS] 2PM Nichkhun, “I Would Have Had To Say Goodbye”

Nichkhun of popular idol group 2PM revealed his feeling of the time he had to go back to Thailand to report for the draft.



All other 2PM members also said that they were stunned with the fact that they might not see Nichkhun for a long time.

Nichkhun flew back to Thailand in March to report for the draft for compulsory military service. However, he was exempted from enlistment as his district where he resides got enough voluntary draftee already.

Singer Jiyoung (Baek) and Tiffany take a challenge on acting.

They are about to make cameo appearance in SBS drama . Their voices are already well known to the viewers through the drama's O.S.T, and now they are about to make their faces known. One of the staff said, “We are examining the possibility of Jiyoung and Tiffany's special appearance. We are not going to create new characters specially designed for them, but are going to pick characters that fit them best from the original script".

2NE1, the Affirmation VS Disaffirmation of “Female Big Bang”

Is there any other group that can be a better topic maker than them before debut? 2NE1 has attracted a lot of attention and topics due to the deeds like the collaboration with Big Bang in a CM song that has been topping the online music charts for weeks. Now they have showed us their debut stage in SBS Inkigayo on 17th, and officially made their challenge in the music industry.

2NE1 which is composed of CL (18), Sandara Park (25), Park Bom (25), Minzy (15) has released their debut song “FIRE”, and has presented a different style of music and appearance from typical group to the fans. Without the makeup they have a pure very childlike look compared to look they had on stage.
