Kim HyunJoong who turned into ‘Wansonam’ (Totally Precious Guy) through drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, was chosen as 1st place as the most outstanding entertainer among singer-turned-actors.

Music site BUGS put a poll for “The singers who looks better working as an actor” with 2,572 votes in total. The 1st place goes to SS501 leader Kim HyunJoong with 64%.

The new Samsung Anycall Haptic Pop CF has been released featuring the industry’s hottest commodities: Kim Joon, Kim Hyunjoong and Kimbum.

As mentioned before, LG Telecom and Samsung are in a “messy custody battle” on who gets first dibs on the popular “Boys Over Flowers” cast. Initially, LG was supposed to go first with Lee Minho, Goo Hye Sun and Kimbum as the new faces for LG Teen Ring. But now Samsung has release a new CF featuring three of the main cast members. (Anycall is the phone being used in the series which may have given Samsung “an advantage”).

Several reports came out earlier that hallyu actor Lee Dong-gun is dating actress Cha Ye-ryeon. Many people have congratulated the “new couple”.

But now, Lee Dong-gun’s father is claiming that his son is not dating Cha Ye-ryeon. He also revealed that the two have only met three times which will make it impossible for them to actually “date”.

Homeless Song Woo Bin: “Boys Over Flowers Extra?”

Viewer's protests about Song Woo Bin's(Kim Joon) air time on the drama “Boys Over Flowers” continues.

Episode 17 that aired on the 3rd, contained a scene where Jandi(Goo Hye Sun) and Ji Hoo(Kim Hyun Joong) witness Goo Joon Pyo(Lee Min Ho) and Ha Jae Kyung's(Lee Min Jung) kiss.

There were scenes that included So Yi Jung(Kim Bum), his brother So Il Hwan(Lim Joo Hwan), his father(Kim Jong Jin), and Cha Eun Jae(Park Soo Jin).

But Song Woo Bin, who is a part of the F4, only appears in one cut. Viewers are complaining that he is no different than an extra.

Korean artists are promoting large amount of activities overseas.

BoA, TVXQ, SE7EN, WG, JYP, SS501 etc will be advancing their activities mainly in Japan and US on the first half of the year.

Last year, after releasing single "Eat You Up" and started official activities, her first American album consist of 12 songs will be release on March 17. "I Did It For Love" was produced Sean Garret, who also produced for Britney Spears, Usher etc. This album will not only be in the US market but also other Asian countries. Although BoA is a top artist in Asia but she's a newbie in America. SM representative said she'll start off one step at a time with the basics such as talk shows and interviews.

TVXQ experienced all kind of difficulties and went through a lot of suffering on Japan's stages. After 'MIROTIC' promotions, they quickly took off to Japan to promote this month's new single and soon after that there's the 4th Japanese album coming up.

First half of the year, TVXQ will stay in Japan doing promotions. 2nd half of the year they'll come back to Korea with activities.

Rain Turns Into a Ballad Singer in “Rainism Recollection”



Rain (real name Jung Ji Hoon) has transformed into a ballad singer.

On March 5, Rain released “Rainism Recollection” with ballad versions of his songs from his 5th album released last year. It has a total of 4 songs, acoustic versions of “9월12일” (September 12), “내 여자” (My Woman), and “사랑이란 건” (Thing Called Love), and a remix version of “Fresh Woman.”

A music video of “9월12일” is expected to release on March 5, when the album is released. “Rainism Recollection” is selling only 30,000 limited copies which includes a 35-minute version of the “Love Story” music video with Ha Ji Won.

Tears fall for Sunny on incident of So Nyeo Shi Dae fan letters found in the trash bin



So Nyeo Shi Dae speaks up about the rumor of their fan letters being thrown in the trash bin.

So Nyeo Shi Dae Sunny and SooYoung explained during MBC ‘Golden Fishery - Radio Star’ on 4th march, “This is definitely not thrown by us. We are so glad that we are given the chance to explain about that.”

“Back then, we have finished with our promotional activities at the music program and were in a rush to go off to our next schedule. We even left our clothes and shoes behind. And then after the incident, we see the photos of our fan letters thrown in the trash bins on the internet after that.”

“The people who were cleaning up had rounded up all our stuff and threw them all in the trash bin. That’s why the misunderstanding arose.”

SooYoung said, “We received like a box of fan letters on our birthday. But no matter how busy we are, we will read all of them. It is because we are really thankful for the fan-written letters.”

With that said by SooYoung, Sunny teared, which had the MC on the show flustered. SooYoung, “We are just thankful for the fans who fan-wrote the fan letters.”

Hyun Joong clarifies rumors about acting, going solo and coming to America

Under bright light, the gloom behind gets darker too. Kim Hyunjoong acts as Yoon Ji Hoo in the KBS2 TV drama [Boys Over Flowers] and his popularity continues to rise.

Enjoying his biggest popularity since debut, be it CFs or dramas, his value has risen dramatically (T/N: From what I read on naver recently, he commands as much as 600~700 billion won per CF xD ) –a ‘Hot Icon’. But under this popularity, he has been subject to the attacks of rumours and malicious words.

Daniel Henney expressed, “They (Family Outing members) were all very kind-hearted and I had a really fun, enjoyable time.” During the recording, everyone found out that Daniel Henney and Lee Hyori were actually the best of friends with each other after collaborating on a CF together in the past.

KARA beats Girls’ Generation

KARA achieved their first ever first place ranking today on MNet's M Countdown. KARA's "Honey" finally emerged victorious and surpassed the mega popular Girls' Generation and "Gee."

The KARA girls were very emotional and rightfully so, besides Goo Hara and Kang Ji Young, KARA waited 3 years for this achievement. Former member Kim Sung Hee was probably proud when she saw them win, Nicole even shouted KAMILIA for the fans before the encore. Congratulations Girls!

Snsd's Sunny to release a duet with fellow singer Noh Minho

 So Nyeo Shi Dae's lovable Sunny and singer Noh Minho sang  ballad together and It's going to be reveled today, March 5th. Noh Minho is a member of a 3 member group '24/7' and he's an actor too (he was caster for movie 'SSang Hwa Jeom' and MBC's sitcom called 'Taehee Hyegyo Jihyunie' ).

The said ballad is a song from his last digital minialbum called " Story of Wine". This album has 6 songs but the duet's one is " From Now", a ballad with great piano composition and lovable yet sorrowful vocals from both of them.

Noh Minho has actually composed, written lyrics and played instruments for some of the songs in the digital mini making it his most personal work up to date.

Seungri and Top turn actors in Japan

Big Bang’s Seungri and TOP have been cast in a made-for-tv movie in Japan.

The movie, “My 19″, is a suspense/drama revolving around 3 youngins and a detective. The Big Bang members will be joined by future female Big Bang member, Sandara Park. However, YG Entertainment told Newsen.com that the trio has not been cast, but they are considering the option. Who to believe?

 

The TV production is expected to air on SBS in September or October and at the end of 2009 in Japan.

Untouchable will Give You All

Untouchable released the MV for Give You All (다줄께) and it's really cute and familiar? It looked very reminiscent of Mighty Mouth's "I Love You" from last March. Both feature two guys with colorful backgrounds and a female vocalist. Even the songs are about the same thing, very poppy, bouncy love messages. Although Untouchable's video is more casual and less gimmicky. You can't get enough of this song!

SNSD Jessica Speaks Up on Love Rumours with Super Junior and DBSK



So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica explained about the rumours of love relationship before her and the Super Junior and Dong Bang Shin Ki members during their trainee days.

Jessica was on MBC ‘Golden Fishery - Radio Star’ on 4th March, when she said, “There were rumours about the love relationship between myself and the Dong Bang Shin Ki and Super Junior members during our trainee days. They all actually all like part of the SM family. Because of this close relationship, I think everyone has misunderstood it.”

She continued, “Because of our time spent together training, all the unnies and oppas really take care of us well. Back then, we take photos even when we are having meals together. Such were not a problem before we debut but it became a problem after we debut.”

“Fans are rather sensitive to such photos. But there really is no need to have misunderstanding on that.”

Lee Min-ho, F4 leader of “Boys over Flowers” removed the bump from his nose at a unidentified plastic surgeon’s office in Kangnam on December 17th, 2007.  The picture of the hot commodity with the doctors was spotted on their website with the tag line, “We lift up fallen stars”.  However, Lee Min-ho is not the only star who become bigger stars, Choi Su-rin, Kim Yoon-suk, Lee Young-hoon, Do Won-kyung and Gold medalist Park Tae-hwan have also paid a visit.

Justin Timberlake wannabe Glitter Balls Seung Ri just got new competition. Actually, there’s no real competition because it’s clear who the winner is. Whereas Glitter Balls’ mimicked dance moves have no credibility, at least the ahjusshi seniors are backed by the real thing. For Glitter Balls, this chummy behind-the-scenes footage has just gone 13yond his imagination.

Kim Hyunjoong revealed the incident of him driving a car to school when he was still in high school.




He said “Since a nuna I knew said that she was going to scrap her car, I took her
car and started driving it” “Once I drove the car to school and found out that a teacher opened the school gates for me”. “My teacher hit me and convinced me that I can’t drive to school”

Kim Hyunjoong also said “Since it was winter then, and there was a lot of snow,
the car door couldn’t open.” “In the end, the car remained parked in school till spring”, showing his weird side, “When I sent the car to the automatic car wash, since the sunroof was spoilt, the water was pouring down on me” he added.

Junjin: The desperation of seeing 0 in my bank account made me who I am today

Rising to the status of idol star together with the rest of Shinhwa, and then becoming a force to be reckoned with in the variety world, Junjin shared with us the secret behind his successful transformation.



During a recent interview with Sports Seoul, we asked Junjin, “Don’t the other Shinhwa members envy you for being so active in the variety circle?” His reply - “Dongwan hyung texted me and asked me, ‘What do I need to do to fare as well as you?’ and I asked him in return if he had ever experienced not having a single cent in his bank account.”

“After being cheated several times, I ended with a zero in my bank account. And after having been through that, when I started working on ‘Infinite Challenge’, I didn’t think about my image as an idol at all, I just unconditionally worked hard at it. Seems that doing that got me the recognition from the viewers.”

Haha, who was the one of the original IC members but had to leave for military service, also sent Junjin a text message to encourage him. Junjin said, “I’m already close to Haha hyung to being with, when I got confirmed as an IC member, Haha hyung sent me a message that read, ‘Work hard on my behalf too!’ That really gave me a lot of strength.”

Andy’s ‘Love Song’ loved by kindergarten kids nationwide

Andy’s ‘Love Song’ is enjoying a belated wave of popularity among kindergarten children in Korea.

Because of its trademark heart dance and its cheerful rhythm, ‘Love Song’ is now being used as the morning exercise song for kindergarten children, and is now enjoying an unexpected wave of popularity.

A spokesperson from Andy’s management company said, “We heard that ‘Love Song’ is getting very popular among the kindergarten kids. Andy was really happy when he heard about this too.”

After gaining more older fans with his ‘An-sobang’ persona on MBC’s We Got Married, now with ‘Love Song’ winning the favor of children, Andy has once again expanded the age range of his fanbase.

Andy’s abilities as a producer have also received recognition with the work he has done for the new male duo Jumper.
