It was a pretty good fit - and their music influential for quite a lot of what's happening in k-pop this decade - especially looking at a group like f(x).Of course it was bound to fly over the heads of most k-pop fans, but someone from the production team saw the historical argument.

i really wonder if song of the year will go to cheer up or rough (or a third party, but that seems to be unlikely). rough has a higher number of downloads but cheer up seems to have had a bigger impact. either way it's a win for girl groups so yay.

I kind of dread award shows since the audience is usually dead if not for their favs. That being said, I do want to watch but I hope Melon gives us more than just idols. Some variety in music would be much appreciated.
