YG vs SM: Shady maknaes Taehyun and Kyuhyun meet on Sugarman. Ikonics are mad.

A JTBC representative revealed on March 1 that SM Entertainment’s Kyuhyun of Super Junior and YG Entertainment’s WINNER (Kang Seungyoon, Song Mino, and Nam Taehyun) will go head to head on the March 8 episode of the variety show “Sugar Man.”

During the recent taping of the show, Kyuhyun showed a more relaxed self compared to the variety show newbies WINNER. However, the competition took an unexpected turn as WINNER received a hot response during the hit song battle and voice impersonation competition.

Kyuhyun, known for his traditional ballads, and trendy WINNER are in the center of attention as to who will take away the competition.

“Sugar Man” is a music variety program that seeks out a singer who was prominent at one time but had since vanished. The show airs every Tuesday at 10:50 p.m. KST.

i don't see it that way... kyuhyun took a harmless jab at winner by mentioning ikon as the rising group, taehyun took a harmless jab back at kyuhyun by mentioning exo's popularity instead of kyuhyun's solo work/super junior. that's it.

What's weird is that their anger was directed at Taehyun though? It'd make more sense if they got mad at Kyuhyun for bringing up iKON in the first place, but what kind of mental gymnastics do you have to do to decide that this is all Taehyun's fault.

I thought it was hilarious (I've been waiting for someone to stand up to Kyuhyun and his sass/shade since I watched Exciting India. The fact that Taehyun did it makes it an even more enjoyable experience for me. That screencap of his face after Taehyun's clapback will stay in my kpop folder for a long time)

Any iKON/WINNER fan getting heated over this is why we can't have nice things in Kpop.
The sooner fandoms stop having hysterical meltdowns over jokes between friends the more fun and human idols will get to be in public. Friends tease each other, if Taehyun would make jokes like this in public then I have no doubt he teases his friends iKON the same way in private.
I just find it funny how stans and antis do the most over non issues like this but when its time to talk about say, anti-blackness in Kpop suddenly everyone wants to chill and drop the topic.
