I can't really watch it right now (Actually I could but it would be highly embarrassing to watch myself while on vacation hahaha) so I'm not sure what question I asked, but I dunno. I mean there's hypocrisy in everything right it's hard to get away with it, and most people, me included, are guilty of being a hypocrite about things at times as well, but it just seems SO blatant and ridiculous in kpop and it makes it hard for sure. Sorry you left, but I can't say I blame you :(

You said that It's very hard to support the artists when you can't go behind the way they are marketed. And it's actaully very true. I came to a point where I couldn't enjoy watching the bands perform because all I could see was the pain, the disasters, the lies etc. And it bothered me. I really couldn't stand it. And you actually said it so well, it was like having someone saying something I always thought but better since I'm not english fluent.
And it feels the rampant hypocrisie within the kpop fandom is... I don't know. It's very frustrating. Because we all know. It's not like they actually even try to hide it... which makes everything so bad. I just feel guilty when I shouldn't. We have a saying in France that says "Qui ne dit mot consent". And that's it. Who doesn't say anything against it, is ok with it.

Somehow, it made me feel really not ok. Which is why I left kpop. It doesn't make the all thing go away but I just couldn't stand it.

But yeah it's very difficult to be a kpop fan and feel like your mere silence is a co-sign to some of the fucked up things that happen. Or like if you don't fight all the battles then it's really like you're fighting for nothing you know? It's hard its a very hard thing to be in so I don't blame you at all for hopping out of kpop really.

I 100 percent expected this comment but I did hope that the point of this would get across in the video but I suppose it didn't.

What bothers me the most with the comment is this. "at the same time they are grown women with power to make decisions."

This is absolutely wrong, these are women being treated as tools to provide a source of income for the company. They have argued against the sexy image and yet have not been able to avoid it. They finally stuck up a fight over the wearing thongs in the music video thing, but have expressed previously their sexy image was too overboard. You're acting like they are saying "Yes totally this image will slay" when what we know from interviews is the opposite, and what we have been told about the entertainment industry as a whole is the opposite.

IF they were truly allowed to handle themselves as they wish, and if they chose to do this on their own then I would happily retract my whole opinion on the matter as it STRICTLY based upon the information currently out regarding stellar's previous opinion on sexy images that go too far.

If they wanted to do this image then have at it, I believe that all people are entitled to handle their sexuality and beliefs sexually as they so wish to. The issue with Stellar is this isn't what the original group started as at all, and it was expressed that they felt their concepts had gone over board in sexuality.

I believe 100 percent that if it is YOUR wish to hop up on camera and do anything from cartwheels to porn, then you are entitled to do that. But if you are being forced into selling your body in any sense of the world so someone else can make a buck on it that is wrong and that is my only point in the video. Perhaps I didn't express this perfectly.

I don't think I have any right in this world to tell anyone how they should dress, act, or feel about their body functions, but I do feel I have the right to stand up when I think people are being forced into something they don't like. I also am entitled to feel like, in the context of kpop as we know it and stellar as we know them, to feel like something is too much or distasteful.

I didn't mean to give that impression so I apologize for you taking it that way I thought I articulated the point that it's not me shaming them, my shame is aimed towards the label that is forcing them into doing this. Again though while I agree they are grown women they are not able to make their own decisions, this has been an issue that has always been in kpop. Labels often force their artists to do things without any ability to escape. It took a VERY long time for people to start feeling brave enough to leave groups or labels, but it has been a known thing that the labels treat them borderline like slaves.

I do apologize for coming off as shaming of the women, I have no problem with sexuality being shown off when it's what they want to do, and are happy to do it. It's only when they do not want to be doing that when it actually bothers me.

The whole super junior thing is crazy. From what I heard they didn't know her age until they started filming. The people casting are to blame because I am so sure they could have gotten someone older. Its challenging because I want to work in fashion and a lot of models will be young. *sigh*

The BTS thing was crazy. The picture that was used was taken from a different person account and used to post a fake threat, so the woman in the picture holding the gun isn't the person behind that tweet. And GlamGirl was a completely troll account too. I don't get what people get out of doing shit like this? Like, in a way it almost derailed what RapMon had said and I know some black kpop fans felt like they would get blamed and I'm sure there were some finger pointing going around, but it was a situation that someone felt like being a total ass.


The imagery didn't bother me so much until we got to the smashed up watermelon...that was gross. The hand with the flower was beautiful in a way, but its like they were just throwing everything in our face. The bag, the blinds, the butt shot. If they were able to create more scenes like the hand with the flower and different outfits like, the top part I didn't mind, but maybe wearing pants would have been better. And a better freaking dance.
