G-Dragon Says Big Bang Comeback Will Be Postponed Until 2015
Wanting to create amazing songs, Big Bang′s G-Dragon stated that Big Bang′s comeback will probably come later than 2014.
On November 25, G-Dragon and Taeyang participated in an interview at a cafe in Mapo-gu, talking about their new unit group release of Good Boy.
Also at this interview, G-Dragon talked about the pending Big Bang comeback that all the fans were waiting for. "I think the Big Bang comeback will be postponed until next year."
"I′ve been talking about [the comeback] since last year, and because of what I said, I′ve been getting cursed at, so I can′t exactly say when it′ll be," explained G-Dragon. "I am working on the Big Bang album, and it might sound like an excuse, but it′s getting pushed back."
"Honestly, I don′t have the pain of creating something new comepared to my seniors. I′m nowhere near, but [the songs] don′t come out as quickly as they did before, so it′s a bit more worrisome."
He added, "More than anyone, I want to greet everyone too. I want to show great music, but we′re not prepared yet so it′s getting pushed back. Please wait just a little more. This album is going to be an important album for Big Bang too, so I′m putting more strength into it and working hard."
G-Dragon and Taeyang released Good Boy on November 21. The music video already gathered more than five million views since its release.
Big Bang′s G-Dragon Doesn′t Dream of a Fairy-Tale Romance
With Good Boy talking about fairy-tale romances, Big Bang′s G-Dragon shared his views the matter.
On November 25, G-Dragon participated in an interview at a cafe in Mapo-gu to talk about his newly released single with Taeyang, Good Boy.
When asked if he also dreams of a fairy-tale romance like the lyrics in his song, G-Dragon replied, "I′m not sure what a fairy-tale romance really is. Everyone anticipates a fairy-tale romance but personally, I don′t think I dream of it."
On where he gets his inspiration for songs, he answered, "Every experience becomes the source of my inspiration. Even if it′s not love, I receive influence from people and the environment. I receive inspiration from everything and it becomes a huge help when I′m writing songs."
G-Dragon and Taeyang will be attending the 2014 MAMA on December 3.
Big Bang’s Taeyang Shares His Thoughts on Winner and iKON
Big Bang’s Taeyang shared his honest thoughts on his YG junior groups Winner and iKON.
Taeyang attended the roundtable interview for GD X Taeyang’s single Good Boy on November 25 in a café in Mapo-gu, and was asked, “Winner performed last year and iKON performed this year during Big Bang Japanese tour’s opening stage. You watched them closely. Were there any difference between them?”
Taeyang started, “Their colors were definitely different.”
Taeyang said, “Both groups competed against each other through the same audition program but they were different. I think the iKON members have a stronger hip-hop feel. I couldn’t predict their next moves.”
About Winner, he said, “I don’t know if it’s because they are older than iKON, but they were calmer,” adding, “I felt like they were working hard to convey the story well.”
The Winner and iKON members competed again each other last year through Mnet’s WIN: Who Is Next, dividing up into team A and team B. When team A won, Winner got the chance to debut, while team B later got the opportunity to debut as iKON through Mix&Match.
When Winner and iKON decorated the opening stages of Big Bang’s Japan tour in 2013 and 2014, Taeyang and G-Dragon were able to watch the two groups’ growth more closely than anyone else.
About his teamwork with G-Dragon, Taeyang said, “I was able to enjoy working comfortably with G-Dragon, who is a good friend of mine,” adding, “Since we worked together for a long time until now and know each other so well, we were able to make a song that is more than what we wanted.”
Meanwhile, Good Boy is a song co-written by G-Dragon, The Flipstones and Freedo with the lyrics written by G-Dragon. It features catchy trap beat along with G-Dragon’s sentimental rap and melody as well as Taeyang’s groovy vocals.

As YG’s hip-hop project unit group GD X Taeyang, G-Dragon and Taeyang released the new song Good Boy on November 21.
Co-composed by G-Dragon, The Flipstones and Freedo with G-Dragon arranging and writing the lyrics, Good Boy features catchy trap beats with G-Dragon’s sentimental rap and melody on top of Taeyang’s groovy vocals, differentiating itself from other trap music. The music video with its fancy camera works and sentimental visuals has recorded getting 6,003,935 hits as of 1 p.m. on November 25 (KST).
About what made him work on a hip-hop project with G-Dragon, Taeyang said, “G-Dragon and I didn’t come up with the project after deciding to go for unit activities. My album was released this year and G-Dragon took significant participation in my album. There were many songs that we worked on together, and as we worked on a couple of Big Bang’s songs, we began focusing on the music we like and want to do these days. Since G-Dragon and I spent a lot of time together in the recording studio, the song was produced naturally.”
G-Dragon said, “Even for Big Bang albums, I would make the demos, and Taeyang and I would always be the ones to record the other members’ parts together. T.O.P was busy filming movies, Daesung was on his Japan tour and Seungri had something to do, so Taeyang and I spent a lot of time together. So, there was a lot of music made as demo versions, and after he listened to them, Yang Hyun Suk told us that I should sing it with Taeyang. Personally, I was in YG with Taeyang since I was 13 years old. We’ve often featured in each other’s albums but we never came out together, and I thought it’d be fun to do so, which led us to release the single.”
The two met each other as YG Entertainment’s trainees at the age of 13 and have been together for the past 14 years. Other than promoting as Big Bang, they have participated in each other’s solo albums in the past, musically growing together.
About this G-Dragon said, “Brothers fight sometimes but we don’t fight. I think he’s better than a brother,” and laughed.
When the reporters asked Taeyang to say something good about G-Dragon, he said, “I think he is a really good person. His heart itself is really good-natured. I watch him from closeby, and Jiyong is someone who makes me wonder if a person should be that good. He has no evil in his mind and is good-natured. Actually, there are too many things to praise him about. But if I do, I think it would seem like I’m praising him too much.”
